Got a large cheese and sausage and a small broccoli and both were very good. My personal favorite type of pizza is New Haven style, but this pizza would be second on my list, which seemed to be a cross between Greek and New York style IMO. Sausage was thinly sliced which I prefer over chunks and the broccoli pieces were nice and small, perfectly covering the whole pie. Good amount of cheese on both pizzas.

My girlfriend ordered me a large sausage and onions pizza for my birthday for pick up and it was very good, had a generous amount of topping and also got some garlic knots with marinara sauce. If i was in the area i would definitely order again. Be sure to look on there menu for family deal options and other combo deals. read more

I love Gino's Pizza, look no further! The pizza is really good compared to others in the area. The crust is crunchy and delicious, and the sauce is top tier. We always get the pepperoni with garlic and it always comes out fantastic. The wings are also amazing as well, I love the Honey BBQ and Garlic Parm and they're a great price! 10 wings for $11? Yes, please! Everyone is super friendly and delivery is always fast and exceptional. I could not recommend this place more. read more

I am so disappointed with this location for food items the only thing I can say was good was the lunch salad the first time item the pasta Fagioli beans was hard had a stomach ache. Leaning to no in recommendation just by my experiences takeout orders no service to experience or the ambiance. The guy at Gino was a pleasant person in the beginning I ordered tuna wrap and fries. The price was approximately 12 and after a few times he raised the price on me to $15 then told me he's going up on the price even more if he wants to that he didn't need my service so he became un fair customer service so I don't order food from this place very shady read more

Terrible. BLT was bacon bits...salty and like plastic, couldn't chew it. Ordered chips and got french fries...that tasted like motor oil and fish. They do not change their oil frequently enough. Owner would not fix it, ignored us. Go to NAPOLIS! Much better. read more

Their website is deceiving as they offer you 15% discount for a first time ordering but when I called the Meriden location, I was told, that discount is only for 'pick-up'. Told the girl they should fix their website to state that! Also, they charge a flat fee 4.00 to deliver! That's outrageous unless they deliver every order right out of the oven to the house, but we all know they deliver several orders at a time. Also, their outrageous delivery charge also is NOT listed on their website. read more

First time and might be last. Ordered Sausage grinder and probably worst I have ever had. Sausage was dry and burnt as you can see.Sauce very rich. Haven't tried the cold Gino Special as we got that to bring for lunch tomorrow. Previous pizza photos look good so may try that someday but not sure. Thursday 6/22/2017 changed my review from a 2 to a 1. Most disgusting roast beef sandwich ever. Roast beef tasted like it was very old and had already started to get that bad smell.(should be fresh, and the girl taking order on phone said RB was rare so this was definitely old because it was well done) For a newly opened restaurant, you sure ARE NOT CARING WHAT YOU SERVE!!! New Restaurant! !! Place just opened in the old Dante's. Next to the new CVS. -Ordered a large plain cheese pizza and it was perfect. Thin crust well cooked, generous sauce. Cheese that stretches when you pull up your slice. Not in any way soggy. -Wings were solid. Not the greatest ever, but well above average and pretty darn good for delivery. -Chicken tenders were light and crispy. One of my favorites. -French fries were great seriously, the best I've had in a very long time.... crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle. -Quasadillas are huge. Salads are generous and farm fresh. Lots of veggies. Delivery was on time. Prices were fair, especially considering the portion size. Menu is extensive and thus, Gino's has become our go-to for delivery. read more

Spent $34.81 plus $4 tip for a pizza and mozzarella sticks , pie was over cooked and didn't taste good at all. Crust was burned. Called and they actually defended that this pizza is supposed to be cooked that way like I was born yesterday. And didn't care that I was justifiably unhappy with a burned pizza. Unreal , forget this place and spend your money elsewhere read more

Took an hour and 15 min for delivery on a Tuesday night (supposed to be 35-45 min) ! We got no apology when we called but the guy tells us that we won't be disappointed or triple out money back. The driver shows up and again no apology. The food was cold, soggy and taste awful!! First and last time!!! read more

I live up the street from Geno's and hadn't tried it since switching from the old Dante's... I got my usual which is a pineapple and cheese calzone (most places can totally screw up this order) but they ACED it!!! I was wondering why it was more then calculated off the menu so I called. She said there was a $3 delivery fee. It is not stated ANYWHERE on the menu . They told us about 45 min. Got here in a little over an hour. I signed the receipt & the driver said nothing for me ?! I said "yeah it's right here & handed him $3 in quarters cause that was all I had . He said "no forget it , I'm good" I said first off that's all I have & money is money & 2nd I already was charged $3 delivery fee . He said that's not for me , that's for my company ! Plan a trip to visit some store you want to go to, a beach visit or whatever, just find a way to circle The Little Rendezvous into the trip! The crust is thin with a crackery-crunch, the sauce is at a another level and the mozz and roni are high-quality deliciousness! Rendezvous stands tall with any of the well known top-3 pizza joints in New Haven. Dave's score of 9.1 (if you are unaware of the reference, then pizza isn't your thing) is right on point, and I'd go as far as scoring it slightly higher at a 9.2 based on my visit. The building is something out of folklore. The building is all of about 20ft. wide, and when you enter, it is immediate, Steve (owner/chef) is all about the pizza. To be clear, most will consider Rendezvous to be take-out only. There is zero decor, less signs made with cardboard and sharpie notifying you that wait times of hours are real..... so be sure to call ahead. You walk past the most basic seating area of 3-4 small tables with bare walls, and then proceed to walk down an oddly long and narrow sloping hallway which leads you to the service counter/kitchen which houses the 130-year old oven! It's honestly something you could only imagine out of a movie...... the hole in the wall that is creating high-quality, delicious pizzas! Why or how you ask? The answer is simple, Steve! The guy clearly has a passion for making pizza and has dedicated his life to doing so. I met the 'man-the myth-the legend' on my visit, and he kindly even took the time to chat with me. I'd driven pass Empire Pizza many times but this would be my first experience easting there. I rate that experience slightly above average, 3.5 stars and determined that I'd visit again in the future. The second visit was with my uncle who had visited to help with some repairs and a pizza reward seemed appropriate. Our order was also mushrooms and peppers, but I didn't ask for any alteration to the cheese volume since I knew that my uncle would prefer more cheese and he had made the trip just to help me so I decided to see how this pizza would rate. Sadly, I found the pizza less exciting overall, barely average. BTW, the pizza isn't New Haven style pizza and is more of a local variation on NYC style pizza (which I prefer over New Haven style pizza). Based on the two visits I'd rate Empire Pizza three stars overall, IOW average. There's nothing wrong with average pizza, so this isn't intended as a slight in any way.

If you like New Haven style pizza, which is arguably the 'esemplare' of all pizza, then visiting The Little Rendezvous is a MUST visit if you live within 90-min. Plan a trip to visit some store you want to go to, a beach visit or whatever, just find a way to circle The Little Rendezvous into the trip! The crust is thin with a crackery-crunch, the sauce is at a another level and the mozz and roni are high-quality deliciousness! Rendezvous stands tall with any of the well known top-3 pizza joints in New Haven. Dave's score of 9.1 (if you are unaware of the reference, then pizza isn't your thing) is right on point, and I'd go as far as scoring it slightly higher at a 9.2 based on my visit. The building is something out of folklore. The building is all of about 20ft. wide, and when you enter, it is immediate, Steve (owner/chef) is all about the pizza. To be clear, most will consider Rendezvous to be take-out only. There is zero decor, less signs made with cardboard and sharpie notifying you that wait times of hours are real..... so be sure to call ahead. You walk past the most basic seating area of 3-4 small tables with bare walls, and then proceed to walk down an oddly long and narrow sloping hallway which leads you to the service counter/kitchen which houses the 130-year old oven! It's honestly something you could only imagine out of a movie...... the hole in the wall that is creating high-quality, delicious pizzas! Why or how you ask? The answer is simple, Steve! The guy clearly has a passion for making pizza and has dedicated his life to doing so. I met the 'man-the myth-the legend' on my visit, and he kindly even took the time to chat with me. Parking is tough, but they've done a nice job with the aesthetics inside. Lima 32 is also available on DoorDash within a certain area. I've now had the Lomo Saltado, the Arroz Con Marisco and the Chaufa de Pollo. Best Lomo Saltado I've ever had, and I've had a really expensive one at a famous CT spot. It's basically a beef and veggie stir fry. You can see the chef making it with fire in the pan if you have the right seat. The soy and oyster sauce based glaze is good salty. So flavorful and everything is perfectly cooked. Best Arroz Con Marisco I've ever had. It's a saucy Peruvian paella. The sauce (Aji Amarillo) has a well rounded creamy pepper flavor. The seafood, like crab, mussels and shrimp really stand out. I suspect the seafood varies depending on what's available. The Chaufa de Pollo, a Chinese fried rice style dish, was very good too. My boyfriend was over and we couldn't decide what to eat for dinner. I just got out of work and didn't feel like cooking a whole meal. I remembered I had received a menu from Gino's Pizza in the mail the previous day and wanted to try a new place. My boyfriend isn't from the area and every time we order take out he complains about the food. So I suggested Gino's, heard great things about it and figured why not? Delivery was fast and the food was fantastic. My boyfriend was still raving about it the next day. He is very particular about what he eats so the fact that he enjoyed the meal so much and so did I, says a lot for the quality of the food. Great Place!
