    A.P. Pasta

I came here with some friends to enjoy a nice Italian dinner. Let me start off by saying that this family owned establishment is the real deal! The food was tasty, plentiful and reasonably priced. Food 4/5 I highly recommend AP Pasta if you like Italian greens, sausage and spice. If you like pink sauce (a mix of alfredo and spicy tomato) try D'Angelo pasta. The cavatelli and meatballs also looked divine. My friend ordered the last piece of tiramisu which speaks to how good it was in my opinion. Portions 5/5 Big entrees plus you get a dinner salad and bread basket. Bar 4/5 They have a full service bar with a good selection of beer, wine and spirits. On this trip, I tried a glass of Winter Nights, a sweet and spiced holiday, pink wine. Yum! Back after a year. The restaurant has moved but the food is just as tasty as I remembered. Yum! Italian greens and spicy sausage are still scrumptious!

I've been here twice and the food is incredible! The house salad dressing is a homemade balsamic vinaigrette that tastes amazing! It's sweet and tastes great! The penne pasta with meatballs was great too. Very reasonably priced! Well done, Gia's!!!! Bravo!!!!!

Food is good... but the bread has a lot to be desired! Not good bread for an Italian place!

They were a little busy, understandable, it was getting closer to the peak dinner hour. I get that they may have been short staffed, however, someone could have at least acknowledged our group. It did take a long time for our server to return. There was the issue with flies, our group noticed a couple flies on the table, however, when I looked up at the light fixture above our table, there must have been at least a dozen. I'm sorry to say that's not a good sight. Not sure why the place had an issue like that but they really need to take care of it. They did have lots of menu options and the food was very good. I ended up ordering the gnocchi and sausage entry... It was delicious!! One of our friends requested a special food prep because of a dietary restriction, our server was kind enough to accommodate that request. Struggled with the rating, wished I could have given them a higher rating but just couldn't.

We sat outside at sunset and there was a cool breeze and a large screen shielded us from the low angle of the sun. The menu is great, offering many choices and the ability to build your own pasta by choosing the type of noodle and the sauce and any added protein. The server was attentive at first but kind of disappeared when we needed to pay our bills and get back on the road. We were heading to Lake Erie for the weekend and still had a drive ahead of us. So the food was 50/50. My daughter had the gnocchi with a pink peppercorn Alfredo sauce which was delicious. My sister ordered the capellini with marinara and meatballs. Also good. The home made rolls are huge and fluffy and delicious. However my choice was white clam with linguine. Nowhere on the menu did it say it would be doused in tons of cracked back pepper. Now I love pepper. I add it to almost everything I eat like salad, soup, eggs, etc. But this amount of pepper was overwhelming the clam sauce. My sister in law had the same problem with her Aglio Olio sauce. Way to much black pepper. It ruined the dish for her. We all had huge portions and took them home but she left hers because she said it was so bad she'd never eat it if she took it home. So if you don't want all that black pepper in your food, ask the server to omit it. The dishes would have been delicious without it.

The food is just fantastic. The rolls are the stuff of legend. The ziti and meatballs were tasty, and the "serves 15 to 20" may undersell it. We had 10 people at our party and we had more than half remaining for delicious leftovers. The service, as always, was outstanding as well. Thank you!

Pros - reservation time seated right away, no waiting. Bread and pepers in oil served with the meal (a favorite) Limited menu with enough choices and food came fast and most part food way good. Related to the food, started with a calamari appetizer, and it was overcooked to the point where it was like eating crispy onions. It was not tender, nor was it hydrated enough since it was over fried. I would not recommend the calamari. Next the meatball appetizer, the sauce was appropriate and ample, however, not seasoned well. The meatballs were unseasoned and needed way too much salt to say that they were appropriately made. They lacked depth and were very flat. Onto the filet masala; the flavor of the sauce was good, and the mushrooms were cooked well and tasted very good. Unfortunately, the meat did not seem tender at all like a filet should be, I'm almost wondering if it was not a filet, but something masked as a fillet. It also lacked a tremendous amount of depth and flavor by itself as well. When I do these reviews, I like to be open and honest. I do have to complement this establishment on two things; first, the salad both dressings the champagne and the balsamic were delicious. They also did a tremendous job on their homemade bread. Very very good. Overall, I'm going to give this a rating of two out of five stars however. When you combine the price and taste of all of the appetizers and main course, it's just not worth it. The flavor in general was just lacking. If you want to go there for bread and salad I would highly recommend.
