The best part about our experience with Gia's was the location and the salad dressing. The pasta was fair, the lemon chicken was smothered in mushrooms, we had to search for the chicken underneath. The greens were way too salty and the Santisi salad proportion was a lie. If you are anyway related to the Santisi family I would strongly remove that name from your salad. They stand for quality and and hard work which apparently Gia's does not. I had to add another bag of my own salad to the half tray that I ordered. When I called to order I asked how much a half pan fed. I was told between 12-15. Which I would think is more like 9 people. Basically the portions are small and the food ( that was fair at best) is way over priced. If there was a Lariccia's or a Royal Oaks on that end of 224 you would probably be out of business. read more

This was the first time here for me and my wife. It's a pizza joint so you order pizza, right? I ordered their more expensive "hand tossed" thin crust while my wife ordered the Specialty pizza Margarita pizza. She ask if it could be made on thin crust. They said "No". Both came in about 15 minutes and looked really good. After eating a slice or two of my Pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza I quickly was real disappointed. The crust was burnt on the bottom and had no flavor at all. This is a pizza place. It should have great pizza. It was bland. My wife pizza was thicker and actually tasted better. I joked with her and took a piece of her pizza and scrapped off her toppings on a piece of the thin crust that I had done the same. Thin crust Margarita pizza! She also noticed the a problem with the thin crust. Just plain bland. I noticed after taking her toppings of the original crust that the top of the crust was all doughy. It wasn't cooked enough. Raw dough! I tried her pizza and it was better, but nothing special. Gia's should probably change their name to "Gia's Italian" or something not related to Pizza. In all fairness we did not try any of their other food. We did notice that people were not coming in to pick up pizzas at all. The Pizza Hut that was their before certainly did much more business with pizza and had a steady crowd with carryout. Pizza huts pizza was better than this. Disappointing. Sorry. read more

Ordered delivery, vey quick and inexpensive. Driver was very polite. Had the spaghetti dinner with a salad and a half sheet pizza with pepperoni... Dinner was delicious however meatballs were just not my type... Pizza was great and was even better reheated the next day... 4 stars for a great meal and prompt courteous service. read more

Visited again last week. Our waitress was over the top. Kristin the bartender/waitress just could not do enough for us. Besides having a beautiful smile and great personality she was very caring and made sure everything was perfect for us. We have been meaning to try this place since we moved to the area a year ago. We finally had the opportunity to give it a shot and we'll definitely be back! First time at new location, and not one negative thing to report! The staff was very friendly, waitress excellent, and food was superb. Calamari appetizer was equal to the best we get at the beach each year - tender, lightly battered, and fried to perfection. Pasta with marinara was very good, and the side spinning bowl salad was the most like the original at Twentieth Century I've gotten anywhere else in town; all that was missing was the Century sticky bun! They also offer several lunch specials. I'm sure we will return, and I'd highly recommend Gia Angelos to anyone wanting authentic Italian food. read more

Just picked up our fish sandwiches. Quoted 50 min for take out...but figured no big deal since it is a Friday night and they are probably busy. Turns out it was not worth the wait. The bread on our fish sandwiches is hard as a rock. French fries are lukewarm. Fish is cold. Probably would have been tasty if it was warm but cold fish just grosses me out. 0Went to gia's yesterday for takeout. Wedding soup and Briar Hill pizza. The food was great as usual......BUT I got a quart of wedding soup and they charged me 14.00 dollars when a pint is only 5.99. Should have been at the most 12.00 (2 pints in a quart). Next time I will just buy two pints. Plus I tipped the take out girl and no thank-you. This was a nice place to go and hang out. To many tv's now and loud music, you can't even hear yourself think at times. As for the food it's great, best pizza in town. The service in the dining room is pretty good , but the service at the bar stinks. The blonde bartender is to busy trying to make dates for herself than wait on customers. If she does finally get around to you, half the time the order is wrong or you have to wave her down to get her to come back. read more

I have gone to Gia's many time this last year and I have never been unsatisfied. I have tried many things on their menu, including unique pizza combinations, pasta dishes (with red, white, and a delicious Gia's very own pink sauce), chicken dishes, and, deserts to name a few. In context with the food I would never hesitate to recommend Gia's. Based upon the serving staff I would have to say "Ehhh", it seems like every other time I go there I have a wonderful, pinpoint, helpful server... the times that fall between that however as I said "Ehhh" not to happy to help with questions, loud behind the host station, and all around blah with everything else. this is by far the worst restaurant in the area. i went here very recently and had a horrible experience. if i ate food out of the fridge from 3 weeks ago i would have had a better experience. i arrived and had to wait at least an hour and a half for our food to arrive. when the food arrived it was horrible. i ordered the pasta and it was horrible. the sauce was worse than canned sauce from the store. the wedding soup was passable. this place was way better before the move. i will not be coming back here ever again. read more

Went on a Friday night, got seated right away, waitress came right over for drinks. She came back in less than 5 min or so with drinks and to ask for our order which I thought was very fast and felt rushed at this which wasn't a big as we already had an idea what we wanted . I asked for lasagna and was told they were out "WHAT ARE YOU KIDDING ME ON A FRIDAY NIGHT", so I picked up menu and started looking again as waitress stood waiting, again I felt rushed ,I hastily made my choice she put our order in and another waitress game right away with our salads and bread minus 1, mine of course it came after every ins else was done. Everyone ordered salad without olives and you guessed it they all came with , when I got mine she started taking my sons salad plate off table he wasn't even finished. Our meals came they were only average my son finished his meal before the rest of us the waitress started cleaning off the table before the rest of us were finished eating as she was cleaning off table while the rest of were still eating. I was still eating she was asking if we wanted dessert. We weren't even finished eating yet WTH! Needless to say I didn't leave my customary 20% . If you are in a hurry and want to be rushed in and out like waffle house this it a great place with average food and above average prices I don't think we Will be back any time soon. read more

I ordered 3 items for pick up, I noticed it after I got home and started to eat the calamari, it was so soft, rubbery and stale, I went to try the Pepperoni roll and noticed it was not there???? I call GIA's and yep its at the place, the calamari was so terrible I took it back since I had to go BACK THERE ANYWAY to get the rest of my meal I had paid for that they didn't give me the first time. I have included a picture of the calamari this is how it looked as soon as I opened it at home the ONLY thing I did was squeeze the lemon over it. NOTICE the 2 dark objects towards the bottom ..those are 2 old burnt french fries...I did not order french fries WTF!! I go back to the store and get some AL Bundy type of quasi manager. It was obvious he could give a shit. I tell him stuff is old and stale, He says "I know" and basically he mumbles some stuff about training better and they should have poked holes in the box. The funny thing is I walked around before I asked to speak to a manager I noticed right away it was more customers sitting at the Bar than were seated and dining LOL! The food is always good here but yesterday Friday, June 23 my father and I were treated very poorly. The server- Katie obviously wanted us to leave. The food came out less than two minutes after the salads. We were still actively eating and she was there asking if we wanted a box or a dessert. It's been a long time since I've had such obnoxious service. I found myself shoveling the last couple bites into my mouth as she removed my plates. We were table number 60 with the closeout time of 6:22. There is a lot of good food in Boardman and there's no reason to go to this place and be given the bums rush . read more

Wonderful! Our reservation was ready when we arrived. 7-member group with no complaints. The prime rib was delicious and very affordable. I would recommend this to anyone. The menu is dynamic for an Italian restaurant providing classic Italian dishes along with a variety of non-Italian choices. The deep fried meatball appetizer (Bocce Balls) were crazy good. read more

We called the new Austintown location on Sat. (2/1/2014) and got prices on wings and pizza for Superbowl Sunday. I ASKED THE GIRL IF I SHOULD ORDER AT THAT TIME AND SHE SAID NO. She said I could call back Sunday. So we called Sunday early (maybe 10:30a ) and was told that they weren't taking any more orders for wings and pizza. Went into restaurant about 2:30 pm. Only one car in parking lot, one other party seated. The menu is large, standard Italian fare. I ordered wedding soup, chicken francaise. Dinner came with a iceberg salad containing olives, couple pieces of tomato, and one cucumber slice. Nothing special about salad although the Italian dressing was pretty tasty. The wedding soup was standard, small portion. The chicken francaise came with 2 pieces of chicken. My initial couple bites of chicken were not pleasant but then I decided to try the second piece which was much tastier. The waitress was barely attentive, not even offering to refill my water glass which was totally empty when she brought my entree. I did notice a waiter more attentive to another table. Bill was slightly under $ 15.00. With all the Italian restaurants in the area with great service and large, tasty portions, doubt I would make second trip here. read more

Not only was our server one of the most unfriendly servers, our food took almost an hour to make it to our table and they were out of alot of thier menu items. We ordered thier loaded hot chips as an appetizer, when they came out all they were loaded with were grease, there was almost no cheese and even less bacon. When we asked for our bills we were told that it would be an additional wait(wich ended up bieng another 15 minutes) because we had ordered a dr pepper and when there is a dr pepper on the check it takes longer to print? Why not just order it as a coke then? We spent a little over a hundred dollars there and when we complained we were handed 2 free appetizer coupons worth about 5 dollars! My family and I choose one night a week to splurge and go out to dinner and we chose Gia's because it has been good in the past, but we usually stuck with the pizza, we decided to try other things and we were very dissapointed not only was the food long to come but it was barely warm when it did arrive, and I wondered if they even bother to let the water drain from the pasta before they put it to the plate, because most of it came out mixed with sauce, next time, if there is one, I will order a Pizza to go and forgo what little of a restaurant expierience Gia's has to offer, on the brighter side the pizza is really good....I would suggest it. read more
