WONDERFUL (even when they make a simple mistake)! My boyfriend and I were just in tonight and ordered a couple beers as well as a quesadilla (as it's now on their menu) before closing out. You order at the bar and the bring you the food, you can sit downstairs or upstairs and outside. They even have tons of games/activities/ board games to play at your table. We were passing through Missoula & wanted a tasty place to stop for lunch on a Monday (first plus point for Gild, they were open!). Cute place with a limited but super tasty menu & numerous beers on tap!! We ordered the shrimp tacos & the chicken burrito with a couple of beers. Everything was delish but I can't say enough good things about the service! Oz & Collin we're both so friendly, polite, helpful & efficient! They had a smile on their faces & a spring in their step...clearly they enjoy their jobs! It's hard to get good help these days & these young men were awesome!! Thanks guys!! read more

Attended a private party and had a great time. Daria was an amazing bartender, however Sean ruined our evening and I doubt we will be back due to his actions. Added: Well the Guild website states party's of 10 were allowed while we were told (and allowed) to have up to 20 guests. Therefore you violated Montana Health code. Also many members of are party did not receive food orders. Some guests also felt uncomfortable for being singled out due to smelling like marijuana while being a Legal Medical card holders. read more

We were passing through Missoula and decided we had a hankering for a bit of Mexican flair. The menu descriptions sounded amazing and we decided to give the Gild a shot. Our server was super sweet and attentive as well as the cook slash food runner. Customer service was very much on point. Now I use Yelp like a religious person reads the Bible. I truly am invested in the ratings and the opinions of diners. That being said... the flavors that were presented at the Gild were pronounced and bold. I appreciated that. The proteins and accoutrements on the other hand were sadly lack luster. You know when you order pork belly.. it's a toss up. You can get something amazing or something that's just like... you know bacon. Unfortunately the pork belly taco I ordered was like.. just bacon. The dish itself was dry.. and I had to order a side of sour cream and guacamole just to get it down. I also order the sea bass taco and again.. presentation wise I knew I was In trouble. It presented itself as a dark dry mass of something unidentifiable.. which was again sad. I mean these dishes are being served on corn tortillas which is for the most part dry so you'd think like ok sauce it up or accoutrement it up with some juicy this or that. Nope all dry. Now if you like dry bold flavors.. maybe you'd be happy. I think the intention was good but for me the delivery was just not my cup of tea. read more

On a week long trip through Montana, with small stops also in Idaho and Washington, this was the only restaurant we walked out of and didn't say, "what a great choice!" Our waitress was excellent - friendly and attentive. The other waitress with black hair put a huge damper on our experience. The tacos were tasty but the tortillas were terrible. You can eat a bite or two of taco but after that, grab a fork and enjoy the Mexican salad! The beers were okay (tried Doom and it wasn't bad). An average bar with average food. We didn't hate it but the trip would have been much improved without this stop. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed stumbling upon this lovely eatery. It used to be the Crystal theatre and has a lovely antique bar. The chips and salsa were wonderful. The tacos were amazing. Definitely deserves five stars because our server, Oz, was delightful and attentive. He was super energetic and made sure we had absolutely everything to ensure our dining experience was perfect. This new, small, restaurant is a beautiful addition to Missoula's popular Hip-Strip. I have been looking forward to checking out this new spot in my neighborhood. While my first experience was a disappointment, I look forward to trying it again. The neighborhood needs a place just like this. There are a few things that need to be worked out though. Firstly, I came for a snack and a drink, but was unable to get food. It is not widely advertised that food is only served Wednesday to Sunday. Maybe in the future food will be available throughout the week? Why be a restaurant that doesn't serve food? Secondly, I sat at the bar and ordered a $11 glass of wine. I watched the bartender pour me the last of a bottle, only filling the glass 1/5 full which she served me. I was disappointed. If I am paying over $10 for a glass of wine, I would appreciate a standard pour. Additionally, she was not overly busy and I asked for a glass of water when she informed me that I could get my own water at the end of the bar. Once again I was disappointed. I left after one drink because I was unwilling to pay for a skinny pour, get my own water, and not get food. Therefore, I went to have a drink and food, and neither goal was satisfactorily fulfilled. Like I said, I look forward to trying the tacos and coming back. But Gild needs to get some large kinks in their system figured out before I can recommend this place. read more

Loved their brunch menu with options like a vegetable hash that was not reliant on potatoes , as well as chilaquiles, breakfast tacos and a burrito, y mas. Besides their beer (one which was named Tobin's Weight Room )they have Black Coffee Roasters coffees and Kombucha from Nourishing Cultures. FOH staff could use some basic customer service tweaking, but shout out to the very friendly and helpful food runner. Prices at brunch were very reasonable. read more
