If u like gimbap then u have to try this place. They make it fresh to order and everything else is great too. The location is roomy and clean. Similarly for the washroom. The staff is attentive, patient and quick. I will come back again for sure. Green P parking on the street.

Very attentive service and the food came pretty quickly. The rose tteokbokki was very saucy and flavourful. Ended up trying dipping the gimbap in there as well and thought it was a good combination. Good choice for authentic Korean street food

The Gimbap Shop is located along Spring Garden near Yonge St. The small shop specializes in all things gimbap where they also have bibimbap, tteokbokki, rice bowls, several noodle dishes, and deep-fried Korean snacks (dumplings, katsu, chicken, fries, etc.) as well. I've been to Gimbap Shop several times for their gimbap which is always freshly made where the rolls are huge! I mainly order online where my food is promptly made and ready in about 15 min or so. Definitely recommend the original, crab meat, and tuna gimbaps! Morever, the tteokbokki and seaweed rolls are great too. Overall, great place for freshly made gimbaps in the Willowdale area! Service is friendly and food is delicious!

Love this place! We love the party trays and have ordered it for my son's birthday party. Also love the variety of Korean comfort street food for lunch and late night. Service is friendly! Even gave us a complimentary to katsu (deep fried pork cutlet) with lunch order 30$. Lunch special is excellent at 13.99 with three items on the plate. Cafe style seating, so unfortunately restaurant is kinda small, wish they have a bigger space :)

Found this authentic Korean gimbap shop on Yonge Street. It sold special types of gimbap, tteokbokki, and other Korean appetizers. Ordered the spicy pork gimbap and it was suprisingly so good and delicious. Came with 8 pieces and had fresh ingredients, the rolls were huge, and the rice inside was warm and soft. Price was reasonable fair starting at $5.99. Highly reccomend if craving some gimbap or a Korean snack/lunch!

Gimbap, also romanized as kimbap, is a Korean dish made from cooked rice, vegetables, fish, and meat rolled in gim--dried sheets of seaweed--and served in bite-sized slices. Ambiance - Quaint take-out spot for bite-sized Korean snacks, call it a street fare if you will. Food: Minimalist menu including gimbap, dumplings (mandu) and a variety of Korean street snacks. But come here for the gimbap - made fresh to order. Delicious gimbap to eat with your hands or chopsticks, we got the bulgogi beef and the tuna. The tuna was really delicious, flaky and lots of mayo, good balance of flavors between the freshness of the veggies, the chew of the rice and the sauce they used helped blend the flavors well together. () The bulgogi was lacking a bit of flavor, a little bland to taste so not my favorite. I think they should season this one a bit more with either a sauce or something to give it some more zest. Service: Order at the counter, wait for your food and leave- this is a walk in walk out type of spot, not a dine in restaurant Parking: Ample parking in this plaza, a nice hidden gem in Richmond Hill for something quick and easy that isn't dirty. They have some katsu's on their menu as well but we usually come here for the snacks.. We haven't tried their katsu combos but we will eventually. Overall good experience. Can't go wrong with some authentic ajumas making some good home-made korean food for you.

Insanely huge and delicious Gimbap. Made to order. Tasted fresh and I liked that it wasn't heavily flavored. Reasonable price as well. If I lived near by I would be here so often. Highly recommend!!

Convenient little shop for your gimbap fix! Rolls start at $5.99 and the shop offers a selection of fillings. I've tried a tuna and original and prefer and would reorder the classic original taste. Great place for a small lunch/snack.

Can't believe that a Gimbap shop exists!!! I'm so happy to try genuine Gimbap that is not from a Korean supermarket. It tastes like when my Korean friend's mom made me gimbap in my childhood... I normally don't like fish cakes, but the broth was AMAZING. And the tteokbokki had both egg and cabbage in it.. which was a first!! Highly recommend to try!!

Came here on a rainy day and there was no parking . The staff was nice enough to drop the food off to my car. This is my go to place for Gimbap, it's better than most grocery stores and restaurants. Not too much rice which is to my liking. I got the original Gimbap. I love this place and I can't wait to go back again

Authentic Korean gimbap shop! Pleasantly stumbled upon this small gimbap shop by accident & discovered a menu of all my favourite gimbap variations + Korean quick eats/snacks. Upon entering the shop, it's small and is meant for a more grab & go style (although they do have about 3 high chair bar seatings by the window) I would recommend ordering and taking your gimbaps on the road or to a picnic (which we did!) The gimbaps are fairly priced especially with the loaded amount of ingredients in each roll. We ordered the original gimbap and the bulgogi gimbap. Both were great & filling but personally I prefer the bulgogi. However the price of the original ($5.49) makes me want to order this more! The shop seems to be run by a Korean mom (which adds to its authenticity in my opinion!) & she was nice and patient. I did notice the ventilation inside wasn't as good as I would like it to be since I smelled like fried food & oil from being inside for less than 10 minutes. Def recommend this spot for gimbap lovers!

Great gimbap, friendly staff and reasonable price. No tax if you pay by cash takeout only. Hidden away in the plaza at yonge/Clark. Their gimbap is fresh and flavourful, and our favorite is pepper tuna. So happy I discovered it, will be visiting again when I don't feel like packing lunch for work

Very delicious gimbap! I ordered Tuna and pickled pepper gimbap, which is very tasty with just a tiny little kick from the pepper, it is not very spicy. My daughter ordered the Tonkatsu gimbap and she said it is very good too! This is our first visit, will definately go back!

We tried their pork kalguksu which comes with nice thick slices of pork, torched on each side. Tender and meaty. The noodles are cooked well, al dente. The pork broth is rich and flavorful. The cold noodles are very refreshing for hot summer days. The broth has a slightly sweet, a little tangy flavor to it. Lots of glass noodles also cooked al dente. Comes with an egg, sliced beef, cucumbers. Also really delicious. Banchans are fresh and have a good spice to it for those with spice. The dining experience is interactive, with staff providing grilling assistance to ensure guests cook their meats properly. The ambiance is stylish and modern, making it a great spot for date nights and group dining. Also a plus is they do validate parking if you've parked in the garage! I highly recommend trying this restaurant out if you're a KBBQ lover. Definitely will be coming back!

A comforting brunch at Bonjuk Canada - perfect when you're not feeling 100%…read more My partner and I finally sat down for a proper brunch at Bonjuk this afternoon, and it was exactly the kind of meal we needed. I've been dealing with some dental pain, and my partner is just getting over a nasty cold, so we wanted something gentle, nourishing, and easy on the body - not a heavy, greasy brunch. Bonjuk's whole vibe of "comfort food with heart" really delivered. We'd only done takeout before, so this was our first time dining in. The space is small but really welcoming - warm lighting, clean and simple decor, and comfortable seating that makes you want to slow down and relax. It's not a huge place, so there aren't tons of indoor seats, but that also gives it a cozy, intimate feel. Service was friendly and low‑pressure, which we appreciated when we were both feeling a bit under the weather. We ordered the Chicken Porridge ($23) and the Beef Bulgogi Bibimbap ($24), both for dine‑in (prices don't include tax and tip). The chicken porridge was savoury, and soothing, with a rich broth that felt healing without being heavy. It was easy to eat with my sore teeth and left me feeling comforted, not stuffed. The beef bulgogi bibimbap was a nice contrast - colourful, fresh, and full of flavour. The bulgogi was sweet, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the mix of veggies and egg made it feel like a balanced, healthy meal. It's definitely a step up from typical brunch fare if you're looking for something lighter but still satisfying. One thing that really stood out was their baby porridge menu. It's such a thoughtful touch - separate, gentle, low‑salt options for little ones. As someone who's seen new parents struggle to find safe, easy meals out, this felt genuinely helpful and kind. It's easy to see why their marketing feels like they actually care about making food that's good for people, not just trendy. If you're looking for the best value, I'd say go for takeaway. We noticed a steady stream of takeout orders, and the overall costs are slightly lower that way, especially when there are discounts offered by different order platform. Overall, Bonjuk Canada is a good spot when you want something comforting, healthy, and easy on the stomach - whether you're recovering from illness, have dental issues, or just want a more mindful brunch.

Comforting Korean soft tofu stew any day…read more Buk Chang Dong is still the most popular spot in the city for Korean spicy tofu stew. It's dotted all over the city, with a popular following. My better half for one can't resist going when we are in the mood for Korean food. Especially when we encounter cool weather, as was the case during a stormy downpour outside. There are rear parking spots and it's possible to walk through the back door though staff frowned at us going through this while a group did the same later. The menu is still simple: a small selection of Korean spicy tofu stews along with dishes like Bibimbap that pale in comparison. We always order #1 & #3. Soon Tofu ($17.50) with beef, mussel, shrimp for me; kimchi, beef, pork for her. Following the individually-portioned banchan, boiling red cauldrons loaded with silky tofu arrived hot out the kitchen and we quickly cracked an egg in to cook raw. Soup broth was rich savoury seasoning plus adjustable heat. Unfortunately the Bibimbap ($19.50) only came in one level of spice in the sauce, which was a level of heat that was too spicy for our child to enjoy. We noticed the prices were raised recently. The purple rice bottom accompanying the Soon Tofu makes for a good after-meal rice soup for which I enjoy having with the refillable banchan. Do as the locals do, and we always see this restaurant packed with Koreans. They also offer a 5% cash discount at the front counter. Skip it or hit it? Hit it for a warm Korean meal especially on a cold day.
