Lasagna. Not good at all. Only cheap cheese and marinara sauce.

Super disappointing. The lasagna only had one thin layer of pasta and felt like it was mostly filled with extra cheese and marinara sauce to make up for it. Unfortunately, the cheese tasted very low quality and made the dish almost inedible. Definitely not worth the $20. I really expected much better.

Lived in Montebello my whole life and never tried this pizza spot. If you're looking for a late night spot for decent pizza, this is your place. I placed my order online and had a friend pick it up. The quality of their toppings are very good and decent. I will say be prepared for their steep prices. I literally ordered a small pizza and wings and it came to 50 bucks. Don't get me wrong, good food but a little too expensive for this. The wings are a 7 piece order for 15 bucks. You're paying like 2 dollars a wing. After toppings and tip, just a too pricy for my liking. I would eat here again if it's a late night and in the mood for some good pizza and wings. Can't really comment on the place as I've yet to go inside.

Ordered on Uber Eats and they were not capable of following one simple special request. "No cheese please". For the spaghetti dish to be $20 and for them to get it wrong, it's gonna be a NO thank you for Me. (Also the quantity is highly unsatisfying!) Well Unfortunately, my mom and I are allergic to cheese and now this spaghetti has gone to waste.. dayum Gina's ;(

XL Pizza... Half "Hawaiian Tsunami" and half "Philly Cheesesteak". Both were YUMMO!

Great spot for "late night" food. We came here for pizza after a late night movie that let out at 2:30am, and this spot was open, so we decided to try it. They have more than pizza, but we went for the pizza, and were pleasantly surprised at the variety of options and unique flavors they have. We had a half "Hawaiian Tsunami" and half "Philly Cheesesteak", and very much enjoyed both. I totally recommend this place. They are open late, and at least their pizzas are good. Can't speak on anything else... YET!!

    Best damn pizza in LA.

Best pizza I've had in a very long time. I got the medium stuffed crust with steak ham and pepperoni and it was beyond expectations. I live west side but next time I'm out this way definitely coming back.

So unfortunately I won't recommend this place for pizza. With the cost of things and inflation I don't understand why some pizza locations Insist on cheating the customer. We ordered pepperoni, mushrooms, red onions, jalapeños and extra cheese to the cost total of $36. If there was a complete slice of a red onion divided upon the whole pizza would have been much. I get it jalapeños must be cheap since that was the one topping that was visible. Mushroom were pretty much mia and the pepperonis were hide and seek. Hate to think how much cheese it would've had if I didn't ask for extra cheese. I'm a 1 and done specially for $36. Taste and dough quality lil Cesar's is ahead and that a lot of credit to lil Cesar's been compared to an Italian pizza joint. Thanks for reading and try Pizzanista or Ravello Osteria up the street on Garfield you'll get you moneys worth.

I Don't Learn I Said I was Not going to buy from here because their prices have gone up and their portions down. My son wanted us to give it another try so I gave in, boy am I disappointed! Almost $50 for a Large Pizza and a pasta that used to feed a family of 4 shrunk to feed 2 people. Gina's I gave you another chance and you let me down! I learned my lesson! Included a picture of what used to be their serving size, the round container.

I don't know whats with all the bad reviews??? I'll give my honest opinion. The pizza looks and taste great. The cheese pull was good, the sauce was tasty, and the pepperoni was good quality. The service seemed nice although i ordered takeout, they were nice. The timing they had said it would take 15 minutes, but it took like 20 mins so i mean.. that to me isn't too big of a deal. It was a little pricey like 20$ for a small pizza, it was tasty tho. All in all i will come back here again, and it's convenient for me since they're open till 5 am, and there is times when i'm a night owl and want a dinner at this time. Thank you for your hard work.

Yes!! Gina was great! My boyfriend and I wanted pizza that wasn't from Dominos or Pizza Hut. Something authentic. This place hit that spot. I would recommend calling ahead. The wait time for an XL pizza and a side of wings was an hour. It was about $33 for the pizza and wings. Totally worth it. I'll be back.

The mashed potatoes were incredibly soft, creamy, and full of flavor. We ordered the Margherita pizza and a cheese pizza for the kids, and both were delicious. The pizzas were cooked in a wood-fired brick oven, and you could really taste the difference. The carbonara was one of my favorite dishes. It came with an egg yolk on top that you mix into the pasta, making it rich, creamy, and flavorful. The lobster linguine was another standout dish. We also ordered the pork wings, which were so tender they practically fell off the bone and were served over delicious mashed potatoes. The mushroom ravioli was unique, comforting, and packed with flavor. We also shared the ribeye steak, which was cooked perfectly and was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. What really made the experience special was the service. The owner regularly stopped by to check on our table and make sure everything was good, and everyone working there was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was excellent, and every dish tasted like it was made with care and love. This was one of the best Italian meals I've had in a long time, and we'll definitely be back!

We were seated right away, and the place already had quite a few people dining inside. The experience started a little off for me when ordering. I asked for the spaghetti carbonara with added chicken, and was told no because it already came with bacon. I understood that, but I still wanted to add chicken. I then asked if I could order the penne pasta dish with chicken but substitute a different pasta since I'm not a fan of penne, and again was told no. I've been to plenty of restaurants that don't allow certain substitutions, but simply adding chicken seemed like a reasonable request, especially since I didn't mind paying extra for it. It just felt a little strange being told no to every option. That said, the other staff members were attentive and provided good service throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is casual and had a steady crowd while we were there. I also noticed the entire staff working that night appeared to be male, just an observation. The food itself was really good. The baby greens salad, pasta dish, and chicken portobello were all very flavorful and enjoyable. Overall, I left with mixed feelings because the food was solid, but the ordering experience could have been more accommodating. Still, I would recommend giving this place a try because the food definitely delivers.

When i paid they told me that there was a charge for using a credit card. So i ordered a large chicken buffalo ranch and paid like $43 i felt like that was a bit overpriced. Let's talk about the pizza i felt like the dough was overly stretched and it the topping weight was not proportional to the dough which was regular crust. The taste and toppings of the pizza were good but i wish the crust was toasted better from the bottom or maybe the toppings on top made the pizza soggy from the bottom. Im not sure. We would occasionally split an order only to realize we should've gotten our own because they were that good. Fast forward some years, I returned to get a grinder sandwich. I was so excited to sink my teeth into the crispy crust, fresh lettuce, thick cut tomatoes, layers of meat, the generous amount of mayo. Their sandwiches were exactly the way the business owner and other customers have posted photos about. I was so disappointed. The lettuce was sprinkled on like they were rationing it. And they were really wilted. There were probably 2 or 3 slices of meat layered on. I had to hunt for the tomato slices. At least the bread was still crusty and the mayo was still generous. Otherwise, I was so let down. Again, it's been years since I've had their sandwiches, but there's no way quality has gone down this bad. At least their calzone looked the same.

Recently, my son and I have been making pizzas on Friday nights as a bonding experience while my wife is out with friends. We make some, buy one, and compare. My son usually prefers his homemade, but Petrillo's is the exception! He loved the cheesy cheese pizza and the amazing cheese pull. I ordered half cheese and half their specialty pizza, which includes mozzarella, Romano cheese, house tomato sauce, Italian sausage, pepperoni, salami, mushrooms, onions, and green bell peppers. Their small pizza is 12 inches and has 8 slices, which is much larger than other places. Petrillo's Specialty Pizza is stacked with generous toppings and has a doughy but crispy bottom - the best of both worlds. I enjoyed the Specialty pizza, especially the Italian sausage. While I'm not a mushroom fan, I ate them anyway. I'll likely hold off on mushrooms next time. They provide generous amounts of complimentary crushed red pepper packets, paper plates, and napkins. Parmesan cheese packets cost extra, about $0.50 each, if I remember correctly. The staff were friendly and are local residents, which is always great to see in a mom-and-pop business. You can eat in or order from the take-out counter on the right side. It's best to order ahead to avoid a 20-25 minute wait. My only minor complaint was the pizza was a bit sloppy when I took a picture, but I understand they're busy getting orders out. I will definitely be back to Petrillo's for pizza!

We were greeted by the host and waited about 2-3 minutes to be seated. There were around 4 or 5 tables that were already seated and/or eating. Setting: typical western restaurant with booths and tables. Quite dark inside. We were sat at a booth but the seats had a bunch of residual bread crumbs on them. We had to ask a waiter/busboy to clean off the seats for us. Food: This restaurant is known for their pizza so we ordered their signature pizza to share. We also ordered the fried zucchini appetizer and the spaghetti bolognese which came with a side (Minestrone soup) There was complimentary bread and butter for the table - it was soft and fluffy on the inside and had a nice crust. But it came out cold. Would have been better if it was warmed up. Fried zucchini: well breaded, came with ranch. Portion size was ok, not too big but not too little either. But quite expensive at $11 for an appetizer that did not WOW the table. Minestrone Soup: average, quite salty, given it is early in the evening, the soup should not be this salty whereas the end of the day usually means the soup has been reduced and concentrated by warming/simmering. Spaghetti Bolognese: plenty of meat in the sauce and pretty tasty as well; but the biggest flaw was that the spaghetti was way overcooked. Huge negative for an Italian restaurant - the base/pasta of your dishes should be perfect and this was far from Al dente. Petrillo Signature Pizza: loaded with toppings, they did not cheap out with the toppings and pretty tasty as well; however, another big flaw was that the dough was dry and dense - the dough did not rise. The yeast in the dough was either non-existent or was not given enough time to rise and create the fluffy dough and crust texture of a typical pizza. We basically got dense flatbread. As this was the signature pizza, it was quite disappointing. Service: Average, nothing great. The servers came by a couple times only after the food came out. Could have really stopped by a couple more time to check in. Rating: 2 stars Review summary is based on mainly food quality as the quality of the food, attention to detail, and execution all was very subpar. Given the kitchen was not super busy on a Saturday evening, the poor quality leaves much to desire.
