I have been on a never ending search for good Chinese food and today was the DAY! I was hesitant to try this place because of the not so good reviews. But really I know I need to form my own opinion and give this place a fair shot. Now I'm sad that I waited an entire year to eat here! I've missed out on some seriously good food!!! Jin's has some of the best Chinese food I've ever had in this area. I lived in Beaverton and all the hole in the wall places I had been to were "okay" at best (except Frank's noodle house which I LOVE). I have been craving good traditional Chinese food like the kind that I grew up with out of state. This place reminds me of where I grew up and nothing topped that place. Jin's did NOT disappoint. I called in my order and it was ready in about 20 minutes. I ordered the potstickers, bbq pork fried rice, chicken chow mein (soft noodles) and Szechwan beef. Everything was delicious! I was smiling after every bite. It's not bland, it has so much flavor and the Szechwan beef had a nice kick to it. I am super excited that this place did not let me down and I am now making it a regular date night destination. I am happy with the service, the prices, the generous portions and the taste!!!!!

We finally got over to Jin's! We really enjoyed the food and service. The decor was a little outdated for being under new ownership but the restaurant appeared clean. The portions are plentiful and affordable - we all took leftovers home. Easily shareable plates and the menu has a lot of options. We ordered two combo A plates with different chicken dishes and an order of chicken lo mein. The food was served fresh and hot and the server was very attentive. 3 out of 3 will go back!

Jin's is located in the old Chan's of Dundee building. When I went there they still had the Chan's sign up, but they are clearly changing the name. We ordered take out of Sesame Beef, Mandarin Chicken, Lemon Chicken, Crab Puffs, and Pork Fried rice. Of those items on the Lemon Chicken and Pork Fried rice are the only items that were worth eating. Sesame Beef tasted like I was licking a salt lick it had so much salt on it. The amount of salt overwhelmed any other type of seasoning it may have had. Also the meat was a little tough. The first bite of the mandarin chicken was good. It had subtle flavor that I thought was going to last. But a few more bites and it was pretty flavorless. This could have been from the overwhelming salt flavor on the Sesame Beef though. The crab puffs where all around decent, but were cold in the center. Yes it was take out, but it was more like freshly removed from the fridge cold, not the we let it sit too long before eating cold. The Lemon Chicken was extremely good. The sauce had a great lemon flavor to it and the chicken was nice and tender. I know it is a new restaurant and they will have some growing pains, so I will update my review once I try them again later on.

    Kung pao tofu (ordered vegan)

Ordered for pickup and they had it ready fast. Vegan options and portions were huge, we will be eating leftovers for a few days. The lo mein was perfect and both tofu dishes were delicious, the tofu was cooked perfectly and they were both spicy but just the right amount of spicy. Will definitely be back and really appreciate them having vegan options / accommodating vegans!!

This is the first time in many years that I've given a 1-star rating to a restaurant. I hate to say…read moreit, but this food just isn't good. It's very bland, definitely needs MSG, chicken powder, and salt in EVERYTHING. We ordered two different combos, a noodle dish, and a large soup. The cost was $70 and not worth $20. You get huge portions, but it doesn't taste good. POTSTICKERS - these are very thick, gummy, and flavorless. They are not steamed and crisped in a skillet the way they should be. They are deep fried but because the wrap is so thick, they aren't crunchy, they're just hard. The filling has no flavor. The sauce had too much sesame oil and not enough vinegar, so it was low in flavor. HOT & SOUR SOUP - the worst soup I've ever had. It's not hot or sour but it is extremely sweet and as thin as water. I'm talking so much sugar that you really can't taste anything else. There's no carrots or mushrooms, just a tiny bit of egg, a few bits of water chestnuts, and probably 2 ounces of tofu. I tried to save it by adding more vinegar and msg, but I could not add enough to overpower the sweetness. None of us liked it and it didn't get eaten. KING PAO CHICKEN - this was missing the small red peppers, so it lacked spiciness. All the other normal ingredients were included, but it had no flavor. BEEF & VEGETABLES: had all the right ingredients, but the meat had no sear so it was grey and had no flavor. It might as well have been tofu. The sauce was flavorless. VEGETABLE LO MEIN: this was the best thing we tried, and it was just passable. The noodles were thicker than they should be so it felt gummy, and again there just want enough flavor. PORK FRIED RICE: this was old, dry, and flavorless. I didn't find a hint of meat in it, no green onions, no vegetables. It was basically old, hard rice with soy sauce. SWEET & SOUR CHICKEN/PORK: both of these could have been the exact same dish, as the chicken and pork were indistinguishable from each other because neither had any flavor. The meat was cooked well, not too dry, and the fresh batter was light and crispy. The sauce was pure sugar, no sourness, so there just wasn't any flavor. EGG ROLLS: these are not egg rolls, they are ordinary crispy spring rolls with no meat. Basically they are just filled with a flavorless cabbage mixture. But they were crispy, at least. OVERALL: it may be fast, and it may be large portions, but if it tastes so bland you don't want to eat it, it's not worth it.

Chan's Chinese restaurant. I loved the service from everyone. Either from the gay man flirting with me from the other booth the food was great but a bit expensive. Chan's will be seeing the likes of me again!
