Attentive service ! Good quality meat for KBBQ! Way out in Hillsboro! We will definitely return !

We came here for the lunch specials (under $20!) on a Friday so I can't speak for their KBBQ. They have a nice looking bar and quite a few KBBQ tables. Service was friendly although there is a slight confusion on their closing time for the midday break. On their website it said closes at 2:30pm but the waiter told us it closed at 2pm but to take our time and no rush (we came around 1pm)? Anyway, we got a steamed egg to share - it's nothing special and they definitely up charge for it. I got the grilled mackerel lunch special which came with soup, 3 banchans, and bowl of rice. My friend got the beef bibimbap that came with the same sides. We both enjoyed our meals and left full and satisfied. Totally worth it for the quality but I can't wait to come back for the KBBQ experience!

The food tasted off, especially the beef. There was a chemical-like taste on the meat. And the sauce marinated into the bulgogi meat is different than the other restaurants. The batter the pancakes were too thick and not enough seafood. The noodles portions were very small and making the price point not reasonable. The noodles were quite hot and it was served in a plastic plate. The side dishes were good. The place itself is new, clean and spacious. Customer service is superb. It's part of a busy strip mall with parking. But parking does fill up and may need to park a bit further out.

This establishment is exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff members are genuinely friendly, attentive, and eager to help, making sure you have a wonderful dining experience. The BBQ meats are freshly prepared and expertly marinated, offering flavorful and tender dishes that are simply delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to others. After discovering this place, we've decided to skip the all-you-can-eat buffet at Yo Ho Yo. While the prices are a bit higher than usual, the quality and overall experience definitely make it worthwhile.

We came into Goong KBBQ an hour before closing, despite that the workers there did not seem down or angry at all! They were super welcoming and made the experience so good! The food was delicious and came very quickly, they had many options to choose from and the refillable banchan was awesome! The place itself was clean and felt homey, I would definitely come again!

Great service, like beyond. Our server was so incredibly kind and patient with us explaining the menu options and then helping us cook our food since it was our first visit. The ambiance was relatively quiet when we arrived. Other tables were seated but because of how they are spaced out or maybe because of where we were seated, we didn't hear too much other conversation going on. It felt like we had the place to ourselves. Okay back to the food. We ordered a lot for two people but this was our only meal of the day so we really went for it and got all the things! Everything was fresh and tasted incredible and yes, we over ordered and were totally stuffed when we left but it was absolutely worth it. :)

We just ate here (Friday night) and I had to leave a review right away because we were blown away! The man serving us was super kind and attentive--amazing customer service. The food was delicious as well, price is on par with other Korean restaurants in the area. We enjoyed all of our food and side dishes as well, and will definitely return again! If you're in the Forest Grove area there aren't any Korean restaurants there, luckily this place is only 15 minutes away and will be my go-to spot from now on :)

Newly established Korean-owned. Fresh decor, friendly service, menu with all the standards. Light assortment of Banchan but they are willing to refill upon request. Korean beer, soju for alcoholic beverages. Great for lunch.

If I was rating this place off of strictly the cleanliness and staff it would receive 5 stars easily. Unfortunately, a lot more goes into it, and I felt a two review was better suited for the entirety of the experience. First and foremost the combo we ordered was 90 dollars, and was meant to feed 2-3 people. It was just 2 of us, so we assumed it would be more than enough. Oddly enough, it felt like there was hardly any meat, and that they were trying to fill you up on banchan (side dishes) so it feels as though you get your moneys worth. But, there are two spots in Beaverton that do all you can eat, have large portions and the AYCE includes salad, rice and side dishes. They give you butter to start but then do grill changes way too often and never offer butter after the first time they bring everything out. So it seems silly and unnecessary to bring it to begin with, but also I don't understand why they changed the grill three or four times for us. It was overkill. They also drop the smoke/heat chute down and it's literally a foot from the grill, so while you're cooking it's not only in your way physically but it also blocks the view of the people you're eating with. You can see it in the photo of the grill I included! The brisket was good quality, the pork belly was standard but both the bulgogi's were gross. They lacked flavor and had a very fatty and fibrous texture which made it feel like you had to chew forever to eat it. Also, you get two thin slices of squash and three thin slices of mushroom... at that point don't bother putting the veggies on the plate, it's a joke. I really wanted to like this place because it's so close to me and I LOVE Korean bbq... I hope it gets better and they either lower their prices or give you a little more bang for your buck. I'd rather drive the twenty five minutes and get AYCE and save my money.

Came to try their KBBQ Combo B set and there was a mix of good and meh stuffs. The Steamed Egg was SO salty, something was very off there. Soybean Soup was decent but very small portion for four people. Banchans were fresh and there was a good variety but most of them weren't very flavorful...The first batch of lettuce they gave us there was like four leaves and we had to pay extra for another batch. That's not great. Now to the meat. The combo did give us a nice array of different cuts of both beef and pork. We enjoyed all of them, especially the Kalbi and the Spicy Pork. The portion of the meat was good, not too little but also you won't be rolling out of the place. Service was still new. Water wasn't filled very often and we have to work hard to get the staffs attention. Overall not a bad spot by any means just not worth traveling for for me.

New place that opened up about a month ago. I'm just visiting the area and I had two friends tell me a new place opened up so had to check it out. Service was great! We had a Korean server who spoke mandarin too since he worked in Shanghai for a few years. He was very nice and attentive to the group. I appreciated the kids plate, utensils, and side dishes they brought out. I've never seen any other Korean place have special kids side dishes. Our server was also patient as we took a while to decide on the order and also had a few spills to clean up. Food was a mix of good and ok but nice to see their menu had a wide variety. I saw online menu had raw marinated crab but couldn't find it on the menu in the restaurant. I'll rate each dish I tried below. Overall, definitely would recommend others to come check it out for the food and service. TTEOKBOKKI $15 (4/5) : solid dish and had a good level of spice. Rice cakes cooked well so they were pillowy and soft. HAEMUL PAJEON $18 (5/5) : Highly recommend this one. Extra crispy and enjoyed their mix of seafood SPICY CHICKEN $23 (2/5) : very disappointed with this dish since I was expecting the Korean fried chicken I'm used to with a good kick. This tasted like Chinese sweet and sour pork flavor which I don't like, and it was soggy! Not even a bit of crisp in it. GAMJATANG $20 (4/5) : another solid dish. Just wish the potatoes were a little more cooked and smaller pieces so they're soft and melt into the soup. I had a very hard time breaking up the massively large potato. Soup flavor was delicious.

    Grill surface and prep.

My wife and I were very impressed when we dined here. We shared the beef combination. We had plenty, and we took a sizable box home for lunch the next day. All the meats were perfectly marinated. We asked for garlic to roast on the barbecue with everything else. The grill surface was hot as hot as other Korean BBQ we have tried, but that just made the job easier I think. No refills in the iced tea, so watch for that; catering to customers who are not afraid to spend the $$$s for a dining experience is fine, but nickeling and dining over something as cheap as iced tea or lettuce leaves seems silly. The samjang sauce was good, but it lacked the character of homemade. My wife really enjoyed the fish cake, and I loved the sprout salad and the hearty soup. We will definitely be back to try at least one a-la-carte specialty short rib next time we also want to check out some of the pork options. We will also remember to order more garlic.

    Combo B family style.

So delicious and the service was excellent! It's a drive for us, but we will definitely be back. Haven't had such good food in quite some time.

The food was still very good, but the service was far below what we've come to expect. When we arrived, the hostess looked disheveled and unprofessional. Her hair was frizzy and unkempt, and her outfit looked more like pajamas than a restaurant uniform. She seemed unsure of what to do and simply pointed to a table instead of walking us over or welcoming us. After being seated, we waited nearly 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. During that entire time, there were four servers standing together at the computer with their backs to the dining room, talking to each other. No one was scanning the restaurant or checking on waiting guests, so we couldn't even make eye contact to get someone's attention. We eventually had to call the restaurant from our table just to get service. When someone finally came over, there wasn't even a simple apology for the wait. Once we ordered, the food came out quickly and was delicious. However, the service continued to lack attention to detail--we weren't given plates for our salads, had to ask for soy sauce, and when the bottle was empty, we had to request another one because no one noticed. Tea refills were also missed, and overall the server seemed very inexperienced. We hope this was just an off night. Better training, more professionalism, and encouraging staff to stay aware of the dining room instead of focusing only on the computer or conversations would make a huge difference. A smile, an apology, and a little attention to guests go a long way. We enjoy this restaurant and hope to see it return to the level of service we've always experienced in the past.

I would definitely come back and try other items on the menu.

Exceeded my expectations for an excellent Birthday dinner. My son wanted to take me someplace for…read moresteak or something.... I said no I wanted some authentic ethnic food. So I went searching and found Gangnam Teriyaki and Korean Cuisine. The restaurant is small in located in the Beaverton West Apartment complex. None of that took away from how delicious the food was. We started with an appetizer, the fried Mandu which was plentiful and very good, I had the White JJamppong. It was loaded with seafood. There were also vegetables and noodles, but the seafood was first and foremost the main ingredient! In fact, I didn't realize there were even noodles in the bottom of the bowl until I'd eaten much of the seafood and vegetables because they were the prominent ingredients in the dish. The broth was so delicious I could not believe it. I just do not have enough good things to say about this experience. My son had the two ingredient teriyaki and grandson had a one ingredient plate. Both were very satisfied and commented how delicious the meat was (they cleaned their plates). My daughter-in-law had the JaJangmyeon, which she enjoyed, but after seeing my seafood dish said she wished she had tried it! It was fun to see the cook in the kitchen preparing the food fresh and the waitress was so nice and helpful. I have taken a friend back since my first visit and she raved about the White JJamppong also. I will be going back again soon for visit 3 in a month! Please try this family owned and run restaurant. I know you will be impressed also. (Please pardon any of my misspellings.)

Very sweet though, but it was great. I get the 2 meat plate of galbi and tonight was spicy pork Bulgogi. It comes with rice, mac salad and cabbage salad.
