I travel a lot for work and generally rely on Yelp to point me to the good local spots. This afternoon's lunch (at Tea Thyme) was amazing. But for this place, Yelpers, you have let me down in a big way. Came in around 9 for late dinner with a colleague, there were maybe 8 or 9 other tables. I got edamame and a spicy tuna roll; he got a Thai basil noodle dish. Edamame was OK. I like it on the saltier side, but it was really unevenly distributed, like they just shook it on the top rather than in a bowl first - several pods were salt-free, others made my face pucker up Renee Zellwegger style. Colleague's noodle dish came first and I told him to start rather than waiting for me. Glad that he did. About halfway through his meal, I flagged down a waiter (not ours, whom I hadn't seen on the floor since he took our order) and said I was still waiting on a spicy tuna roll. "Let me check on that for you," he said. Five minutes later: "He's making it for you right now." Translation: they forgot to put in the order. Ten minutes later: Colleague is done with his meal, waiters are actively avoiding our table. I finally see our waiter and ask about the roll. "It's coming right up." All things considered, a spicy tuna roll is not super complex. Knowing it'll probably be another few minutes, I ask for it in a to-go box, and they oblige. Another ten minutes, and they come to pick up the check they've dropped. Got back to my hotel around 10:30 to find that it's not, in fact, a spicy tuna roll. Generally, spicy tuna implies tuna mixed with spicy mayo. Not chopped tuna rolled VERY loosely (read; fall-apart loosely) with cucumber, served with spicy mayo on the side. Thing is, the plate presentation on a lot of the other dishes at the restaurant looked pretty good, the ambience was nice, and everyone else on Yelp seems to love this place. So maybe -- I'm hoping -- my case was the anomaly. Regardless, it was the worst dining experience I've had in a very long time. read more

I came here awhile back with 2 of my cousins, my boyfriend and a friend for lunch. We weren't expecting much. It's small town sushi after all.. But to my surprise, it wasn't that bad! They have a little sushi buffet/bar thing with some pretty basic (but very good) rolls on it. Their list of lunch rolls is good. I honestly cannot remember what any of us had but I do remember that we all liked our food! The next time I find myself in Marble Falls I will absolutely give this place another try. The food is as good here as any I've had in crazy expensive 5-star restaurants. My first visit was for lunch. They had egg drop soup on the appetizer bar. I'm not normally a fan of egg drop soup but I gave it a try. it was unbelievably flavorful and is now the benchmark by which I will gauge all other eggdrop soup. This is a small family owned Thai restaurant with a lunch buffet that is included with anything you order. The lunch buffet is very small and a little strange because it has sushi, spring egg rolls, hot and sour soup, and salad. All were average items but I don't really know how they tie into the Thai theme of this restaurant. I guess it's all Asian? I ordered the green curry with tofu. The portion is very generous and the curry was a little thicker then other curries but the flavor was dense and I'd rather it be a little thicker then watered down. The tofu is cut large and the portion with the free rice is very filling. My husband ordered pad Thai but was given a completely different entree due to miscommunication. He ate it anyway and was happy, I don't know what it was appeared to be pad King or something rather. Looked like red beef with rice on the side. No noodles. The place is small and could be a little less cluttered and cleaner but overall good food and friendly service. The spice levels were all exactly as ordered. We've been "meaning to" try this place for a long time now and finally made it happen. Let me tell you, we were blown away. Started with the dumplins and cheese rolls. They were both a hit. Then we had sushi, a Philadelphia Roll, a Samurai Roll, and a Dragon Roll. They were all three amazing, but the Samurai and the Dragon were both some of the best sushi rolls I've had. We ran into this place totally by accident. (Our GPS was trying to take us to another restaurant that apparently doesn't even exist! My boyfriend calls it a GPS adventure.) Anyway, they offer both Thai and sushi, so it was the perfect mix for both of us. We started out with the veggie tempura, one of my favs. It was a really good, light flaky batter that I'm used to and came with a slightly sweet dipping sauce. I ended up having my usual sushi staple, the California Roll. My boyfriend had the Yellow Curry with chicken. Both dishes were very good and filling. The servers were very polite and efficient. They kept our drinks filled and our food came out quickly. The place is small but has a really nice atmosphere. And apparently its one of the few places open past 5pm on Sunday. Bonus! The restaurant is located on a side street off of the main drag in Marble Falls. Its a good place to grab a quick bite. Probably the only downside is that they do not offer fountain soft drinks. So my bf had soda out of a can. But otherwise, everthing else was very good. read more

There food is good there I like the Red Curry spicy and hot almost like the places in La area where i grew up. there prices are ok. ill tell people about this place, I like how the waiters roam around table to table, Believe it I think the owners get the tips, which i was told before by someone in La, Ill say go there and eat make up your own mind but there stay is horrible don't even buy its almost like rat meat on a stick. No flavor dry and i believe the boil the chicken and its not grilled n peanut sauce but all along i been to many places in Austin where friends screamed about how good it is. Went here on a Sunday afternoon. I had the beef Pad Thai. On the menu they don't mention an appetizer or spring roll. I was ok with that as we have been by the place many times and wanted to try it out. After placing our order with the waiter, he invited us to help ourselves to the appetizer bar. I thought that was a pleasant surprise The Hot & Sour Chicken soup was the dish that really surprised me. It had a smokey flavor to the broth. I would give 0 stars if possible.. I have eaten pad Thai in numerous places.. this resembled spaghetti, tomatoes with noodles and not Pad Thai noodles....regular Italian spaghetti .. First time Yelp did me wrong... this place is dirty and cluttered. The Sushi was just not good and they looked at me like I had four heads when I asked if the had tempura flakes. Is it the only sushi around? Rice was watery and soggy and the only thing spicy about the spicy tuna was the messy spoonful of spicy mayo under the roll. Tip: spicy mayo is normally drizzled on top of the roll and tuna is mixed with Siracha. This roll was wet and bland. We also ordered of the Thai menu....Tiger Cry....made me cry. I can make better food at home and the portion size is very small for the price. The service was nice, but I don't get how this place is rated a four star at all. Please clean up and look at what your customers see and hear while eating. Very disappointed. read more

I would have given a 5 star IF the womens bathroom was not gross. The soap dispenser was broken and empty of soap. The toilet roll holder broke open when used. The walls and doors are in badly need of a deep clean, sand and repaint. It felt like a dirty nightclub restroom. Yuk. Do not feel compelled to order the cheese roll appetizer as some have mentioned its nothing to write home about....all it was was cream cheese and onion deep fried in a won ton wrapper. They did not offer traditional crab rangoon, if they simply added some crab to the deep fried cheese things then they might have something. Boring. The basil fried rice was good. The red curry shrimp and duck was amazing. They have their curry down pat, hats's off. Staff was nice and friendly. I've had bad sashimi here twice. I'm really shy about returning food because I hate being the complainer, but my friends forced me because even they could see it was bad and the smell ugh! The waitress was rude when I requested to order something else even though it was pretty obvious that I wasn't eating it since I had to spit it out in my napkin - again ugh! This is one of the only restaurants in Marble Falls that I can actually eat at. (can't have MSG or gluten) The service has always been excellent, never have had to wait for drink refills or ordering. Any time I order out my food has always been ready when they say it will, if not sooner. The food is excellent, and I will pay any price for that. Came here for lunch on a Sunday with the family. The restaurant is small and cramped and the service was so-so, but the food was awesome. Our lunch entrees came with a visit to the appetizer buffet, which had salad, sushi, egg rolls, tempura, soups, fruit, and a couple dessert dishes, too. Good stuff! I ordered the chicken w/ peanut sauce and it was REALLY good. I love peanut dishes and this was one of the best. My husband had the Tiger Cry, which was supposed to be super spicy. He said it was good, but not as spicy as he'd hoped. My brother and sister-in-law shared the pad thai. I tried some of it, and I've had better pad thai elsewhere. They loved it, but they're from Montana, so what do they know about good Thai food. The kids shared the chicken fried rice and I didn't hear any complaints from their end of the table. For the area, I imagine this is one of your best bets for authentic, delicious Thai food. read more

I'm not a huge fan of Thai, its often too sweet for me. That said, I have been to Ginger and Spice twice in the past month or so, both visits were for lunch. I really like the atmosphere and the cozy feel it has. I love the appetizer bar. Often I cannot identify what is in the soup buckets but so far I have not been disappointed. Last weeks offering was a soup with chicken & mushrooms in a light white creamy sauce. This soup was a total surprise it was so good. The broth was savory with a lingering taste of citrus. I have no idea what it was but it was good! We ordered the basil rice, very good but next time I will ask them to turn up the heat, while good, it was a bit low on the heat meter. The pad thai was too sweet for me but my dining companion really enjoyed it. We also ordered one of the sushi rolls that again, my dining companion rated excellent. I prefer the very tame sushi that is presented on the appetizer bar. On our prior visit we ordered a lemon grass beef noodle bowl and the peanut chicken. My hubs loved the chicken and the noodle bowl was good, not great but good. Noodle bowls to me are a vietnamese dish and the meat was off in the flavor dept. also the lack of the fresh veggies in the bowls that we are used to was noted. The portion of the noodle bowl was also pretty small. Its a bit spendy for a dish but when you add in the appetizer bar, I think its a great deal. The one thing I don't like is all the rules regarding the appetizer bar that are listed on the menu, its weird to me and makes me feel uncomfortable like the staff is eyeing everything we get at the bar to make sure we are not taking too much or that we are obeying all the listed rules. read more

Darn good Thai food! Stopped here on our way back to San Marcos for a bite and we were not disappointed. We ordered the spring rolls, Penang curry, fried rice, and chicken in peanut sauce. Everything was served hot and fresh. The flavors were spot on, that perfect mix of spicy and savory that gives Thai it's unique profile. We were worried about portion sizes but fear not, for the servings were such that even two adults with a mighty hunger could not finish this delicious meal. By far our favorite Marble Fall's restaurant ! We live about halfway between Austin and Marble Falls and when we want good Thai food we opt for a trip to Marble Falls even over Austin! We have eaten here many times and taken a number of our Austin friends and we have always had excellent service, delicious & flavorful food, and a friendly and very courteous staff and clean , warm, pleasant ambiance! We are vegetarians and it is great to enjoy a variety of entree options with tofu substitutions as well as specifically vegetarian creations! We would recommend this restaurant to all! The flavors of the dishes were diverse, unlike other thai restaurants where they either use too much peanut oil or fish sauce. Each dish had its own set of flavors catered to the chosen protein and compliments the vegetables properly. Although the restaurant itself could use some redecorating, excluding the tasteful thai painting, the overall experience was memorable and I will definitely find myself revisiting next time I come to Marble Falls. read more

This place is a hidden gem in Marble Falls. Absolutely wonderful Thai food. The only reason this place doesn't get the full 5 stars is because their service was a little slow. Not terribly slow, but not quick by any means. I ordered chicken pad thai and it was super flavorful. There was a great balance of chicken and vegetables and everything was cooked perfectly. My mom got the green curry with chicken and she says it was some of the best green curry she's ever had - and she's had a lot of green curry. The service was very good here and I'm thankful they are staying open during covid. The Pad Thai chicken tasted sweet and was red in color. A definite first for me, who can't stay away from ordering Pad Thai wherever I go. The Red Chicken Curry was spicy but had little flavor or typical sweetness from the coconut milk. Great little location downtown. Go early, they get busy after 7:30. Sushi was good and red curry with shrimp was very good. Very generous portion that should have been shared. Negative is incredibly slow service so if you aren't rushed, by all means stop by and enjoy. I'm sure our next time will be an early dinner. read more
