This was my third time visiting Ginger Bistro, but my first visit on a weekend, and the food continues to impress! I had the Tonkotsu pork ramen, and my son had the Godzilla ramen. Pro tip: ask for the special house chili oil to dial in your perfect heat level--it's a game-changer! The ramen wasn't piping hot but was still absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients throughout. I do wish they served the Bento box lunch special on the weekends, but everything else more than made up for it. The restaurant was clean, the servers were attentive, and I absolutely love the music--it adds to the great atmosphere. The pork in the Tonkotsu ramen was so good that I need to figure out how they prepare it! I'll definitely be back for more.

Excited to try this place for the ramen! A few things, right when you walk it , it did smell heavily like a nail salon. Maybe because the nail salon is next door but the scent of it circulated the entire restaurant. Not sure if the air vents connect. Other wise, I order the Tokyo ramen and it was delicious. The flavor was amazing and the toppings were great! The only thing is you get 3 slices of meat, wish there was more although you can order extra. The soup is delicious, it did leave me thirsty as the sodium level of the soup was high. My husband ordered the sashimi combo and he said it tasted OK not the best quality fish. The inside seating is decent, lots of seating and booths and high chair for little ones. Service was quick and everyone was friendly.

Must try chill, quality food in the Saint Augustine area. Tried the Tonkatsu Ramen and enjoyed it with the soft boiled egg. Bathrooms were clean, service with a smile. I have yet to try their sushi for next time. Service is amazing, they're very accommodating and the food came out almost immediately. Five stars for me, must try if you're craving some Japanese food

I have my share of sushi from Mainly the west coast. Ginger offers a pretty decent selection of sashimi and specialty rolls. I really like the lunch offers for a nice budget friendly category. They did had toro...although not the greatest but decent. I I thought the cut was a bit thin to get any of that delicate fatty flavor out. The ramen was pretty decent and great portion and broth was pretty flavorful and smooth. The baos were nice. I would prefer something colorful or pickled to incorporate some tartness with the chashu and fried soft shell crab. Overall customer service was attentive and fish was clean and fresh.

This is one of our go to sushi places. Service is always consistently good and prompt. The dining room was redone last year and it is spacious. The menu is on a tablet but the server takes your order. The sushi is fresh and delicious. I always get a sweet potato roll and this last one I had was the best yet. They have lunch specials where you can get miso soup or salad and either 2 rolls or 3 rolls. Definitely worth checking out!

Great menu and friendly service. Awesome lunch specials too. Have a great Sake and beer selection. I had two rolls and miso soup with sake and an Asahi it was great. It is run by Chinese people not Japanese but the food tastes authentic.

The food was phenomenal. I mean really good! Service was spot on. I walk in. I sit down. I've got a menu within one minute very attentive person. Thank you so much ! And the ambience cute , quaint, very nice! Walked in at 5:30 went to the sushi bar love the fact that they had a TV with the Cooking Channel on ordered my three favorite types of Nigri Unagi, Maso, yellowtail or Hamachi. Great place please look for it the next time you're passing through St. Augustine!

One of the best ramen places I've been to. I've tried something close to 25 or 30 ramen shops and this is definitely in the top 2. I normally get the tonkotsu ramen in most places; here, I ended up getting their special of the day (a spicy beef ramen which is a spicier version of their tonkotsu ramen plus beef) -- it was very good. read more

The food here is very tasty, but this comes with a price. I have had to run home to the privacy of my bathroom twice after eating here. This is a great place to eat if you're having a colonoscopy the next day... It has the same effect as the nasty liquid you have to drink to clean your intestines out while being more flavorful. This place is a hard "no" for me! read more

Best ramen I've had in Saint Augustine. Unlike some uncultured swines who are unaware of what a soy egg is, I thought it was a wonderful ramen topping. I had the tonkotsu ramen with the chashu. The broth was rich and delicious and the noodles paired well with it. read more

I come in at least twice a week and always have amazing service from Anna, Judy, and another really wonderful server but unfortunately I can't remember her name. The ramen is delicious! I always get the tonkatsu ramen with pork belly and an extra egg with chili oil to spice it up a little bit! The sushi chef makes amazingly fresh sushi and the owner, Tuna, is so wonderful and often sends out a special appetizer so I can try new things! The krab Rangoon is definitely the best appetizer in my opinion. Stop by and check it out you'll be glad you did! read more

This is my new favorite spot! The staff are super super nice people, and the food is terrific. I had the sushi platter with 10 pieces of sushi and California roll and was not disappointed and my girlfriend opted for the stir fry Udon chicken. Everything was excellent. read more

I really wanted to like this place since I'm a big ramen fan, but I became deathly ill with stomach issues about 40 minutes after eating here.I had the pork ramen which was quite tasty. However,the discolored cooked egg in the ramen broth should have been my first clue to be wary, but alas ,my craving for ramen was too strong. I will never go here again! I will now have to suffer through an episode of food poisoning to learn this lesson . Be forewarned. read more

My experience in this grand opening restaurant was a pleasure. The employees were very polite, I was greeted with a smile. My soup was "banging" lol my veggie rolls tasty and crunchy just how I like it. I tried their macha ice cream, different but good. Pork tonkatsu ramen was absolutely delicious. It had a deep, rich, and almost creamy flavor. I love salt so this was perfect for me--but some may find it overly salty. Pork was seasoned and cooked well. I also got a terry roll, tuna was fresh and the right color. Would love to come back and try more menu items. Staff was also very friendly and engaging. read more

The pho/ramen was literally ramen noodles that you can purchase at any grocery store. There was nothing special about this place, honestly. The staff was friendly but brought us other people's orders twice. I won't be back and I don't really recommend this place. I went here because it was cold out and I wanted hot soup and it's safe to say this place left much to be desired. read more

I had the pork ramen and it was super freaking delicious. The richness of the broth was astounding, yet not heavy. Flavorful and balance. The toppings were good/great, but not the best I've had. Overall it's a delicious bowl of noodles, the biggest detriment is the price $13 a bowl feels steep. But maybe I'm just a cheap skate read more

Excellent new place located off of US-1 in St. Augustine. The service was top notch quality and the food was delicious to say the least. During my visit here I ordered the hot tea, shrimp tempura, and vegetable ramen. The tea was balanced and at the right temperature upon table delivery. The shrimp tempura was the best I have ever had- quite literally. It was so light yet the perfect crunch and crisp with no extra batter to deter from the taste of the shrimp. It was also served with vegetables which was a nice unexpected surprise. As for the ramen, I will forever come here just for this dish. The broth was delicious but even more so when they added the spicy flavor to it. I ate the entire bowl in one sitting! I absolutely recommend to newcomers, visitors and locals alike. Keep up the great work Ginger Bistro! read more

A friend told me about a new Ramen, Hibachi and Sushi restaurant at 312 and US 1. My wife is vegan so our choices are limited. We absolutely loved the food, My wife had the Vegetarian Ramen, it was sooo good she ordered another one to go for the next day. I had a special Sushi roll called the Rocky roll, they had 2 of them, it was HUGE! delicious, very creative roll with eel, cream cheese, cucumber on the inside and yellow tail, salmon and rainbow trout on the outside. they make their own sauces which really makes the roll, I'm not a big yum yum sauce person. The next day we went back for Dinner, I had the Filet Mignon hibachi and the serving size was enough for a to go box, the rice was steamed perfectly and the sauce and veggies fresh and crunchy with steam coming off the plate. My wife had their Drunken Noodle soup with veggies and veggie stock which is Vegan approved. The service was on point and the wine list was extensive as they had Stella which I loved in a Japanese restaurant. Ask for a Rocky Roll you won't be disappointed. Well be regulars for sure. read more

Tried Ginger Bistro for the first time, Excellent!! The jalapeño poppers are the best I've ever eaten, not the typical fried, cream cheese popper. The seafood ramen was flavorful, and the Rock-n-Roll II was as good as any other roll in town. Definitely deserves a return trip! read more

Great low key place to grab a quick bite! We were impressed by their special sushi roll menu, and the two rolls we chose (Lisa Lisa roll and Terry roll) were delicious! We will be back to try the hibachi and ramen, those plates looked delicious as the waitstaff brought them out to other tables. Waitstaff was attentive and very nice, fast service! read more

So good. I am not a huge fan of chashu pork yet I find myself ordering it again and again hoping to find one that lives up to the hype. FINALLY I know why people rave about it. I had the Shoyu ramen with the chashu pork, the broth was delicious and the pork just melted in your mouth. My husband loved the curry ramen. Will definitely be back next time we are in St. Augustine. Much continued success to the owners. read more

When you walk on it, you hear your shoes make a squishy sound because your shoes are struggling to move off the floor. Chairs need to be scrubbed as well. Table tops are clean. Super thankful that they gave me a free drink because it was Mother's Day week.! Our visit was on a Tuesday morning in July, and there were a good amount of customers at that time. This location is either relatively new, or recently went through a remodel. Everything is clean, shiny, and modern. I was impressed with the design of the space, and how organized and clean the entire store was. In addition to the typical grocery portions of the store, there were several tables inside to enjoy your food from the hot bars or your drinks. Originally, we tried to order our sandwiches on the app, but it was giving us some issues. We went inside to order and it was a pleasant experience. There were a few people in line before us, but we were served in no time. The employees making our sandwiches gave some good recommendations when we asked about their limited time offers. We pursued around the store for a couple minutes before we checked out. Our group grabbed some chips and other grocery items to accompany the sandwiches. I personally headed to the hot bar, which was right next to the deli/sandwich bar. They had cheese curds that are sold by the pound. I personally love cheese curds, so I got about a pound's worth. I really enjoyed my lunch! The cheese curds were plump and very tasty. They have more of a breading instead of a crunchy coating, but still very good. My Turkey Pub Sub was awesome. I love how you can truly customize these any which way you want. I even put some egg on as a topping this time. These are even good the next day, as I got a full size and saved one half for a lunch later that week. I enjoyed getting to visit this Publix for the first time. It is a bright and modern location with a huge selection of everything. The staff were all very nice as well. They had various specials and sales in all of the departments, including for the hot foods and subs. I would recommend stopping here for some groceries, or even a quick lunch, if you find yourself nearby!

I made a comment to her about how she needs to treat her employees better and she also was incredibly rude to me and yelled at me and told me to leave and I will never be coming back to the establishment ever again until there is a new person in place and things change dramatically. This is not my first encounter there, and I have seen her act this way multiple times towards multiple people. things need to change.

The store is noticeably less maintained, from basic cleanliness issues to problems like the coffee machine needing cleaning and the milk dispenser often being empty. Overall, it just doesn't feel properly cared for anymore. On top of that, we've repeatedly experienced what feels like ongoing card issues at the pumps. The previous manager used to personally check the pumps for skimmers, and I've seen him do it. That level of oversight seems to be gone now. Whether it's negligence or something else, the situation is disappointing and concerning.

It reminded me so much of the classic lasagna I grew up eating, layered with rich Bolognese and a creamy bechamel sauce that made it feel both nostalgic and elevated. My boyfriend went with the steak (I believe it's a New York strip) and swapped a few of the sides to his liking. The steak was absolutely cooked to perfection, a beautiful medium rare. I may or may not have stolen about four bites... and yes, it was worth it..... I was surprised how empty it was, food was really good and the staff was very friendly. I sat at the bar and was able to make small talk with the men working the sushi counter and the waitresses since they were slow. I found everyone to be friendly and made some great recommendations. The spicy beef Ramen was delicious, the beef was so tenderly braised, not a traditional Japanese style ramen but very good. I had the yellow tail and it was beautifully plated, and delicious. The calamari was not calamari but octopus, none the less it was good and not too chewy and no funkyness whatsoever. If I'm in St Augustine again I will definitely be back and recommend more people try them out! read more
