The food is absolutely to die for!! I tried the Divola thin crust. I swear the best pizza I've ever had. Miguel is an amazing server!

Enjoyed a large deep dish vegan style here! I really like their crust which I think was a semolina based affair. Golden yellow and sweet. There sure are plenty of toppings to choose from and no shortage of vegan cheese and sauce. We got the large but honestly the small would have done the job. Plan for prep. This pie takes about 45 minutes to bake so you might as well belly up to the bar for a pint while you wait. Overall, a very hearty and satisfying pizza. Recommend. read more

I've had deep dish in FL, but they always say you gotta try it in Chicago. When I tell you that there is a difference I really mean it. The crust was so good and buttery with a nice crunch. Great deep pan pizza was served hot and crispy. Service and atmosphere were exceptional. Would definitely come back when in town again.

We've been in South Loop for a few years and never got around to trying Gino's. However once we tried it, it wasn't the best. We started with the mozzarella sticks which while very crispy on the outside, didn't really taste like anything on the inside. The thing crust we got had a decent crust but again, not a lot of flavor. The deep dish suffered from the exact same thing. There are several good places in South Loop for pizza BUT Gino's does have a lot of TVs and a good beer selection so it might be the place to watch games instead. read more

I visited Chicago from California and was looking for a good deep dish. I came across Gino's East and decided to give it a try. I placed an online order and the pizza was made wrong but it was still SOO delicious. Even with my pizza not made correctly I decided to buy another to take back for the next day (we stayed outside Chicago). I let the server know of my previous pizza and tried to clarify what I wanted for the next one and they offered to fully comp the pizza! It's such a chill environment and the staff is very friendly. Wow, i have no words!! This place has become my favorite place to eat pizza. It just took one time coming here and I immediately became a fan. If you want to try a pizza that will punch your taste buds with so much flavor, so much delicacy, a pizza so good that it melts on your mouth, come to Gino's East located in the south loop walking distaste from Harold Washington Library-State/Van Buren station. Hands down best pizza outside of Italy. We came on a weekend around noon, we were greeted by the friendly staff and they sat us right away, We order the bread stick for appetizers and for the main course we order the thin crust DIAVOLA pizza it comes with Spicy pepperoni, basil and white truffle oil. We didn't have to wait that long for our food. The bread stick first and let me tell you, they were so soft and crispy at the same time 10 out of 10. but then we saw it. The main reason we came to this place, it was a beauty out of this world, a 12 inch pizza pie. I took my first bite and wow, i wasn't expecting the surprise i got with the bite. With so much flavor in the crust and crispy, with every cheese bite it will tale me to a journey to flavor town. We've been to Gino's before, though not this location. We loved their pizza and wanted to bring our family to try it. We ordered the charred Brussel sprouts and the dips and sticks appetizer. YUM! My parents ordered a thin crust pizza (why would you do that while in Chicago?) - 1/2 spinach artichoke and half chicken & mushroom. Everyone tried some of the spinach artichoke pizza after my mom kept raving about how delicious it was! The rest of us ordered small Chicago style pizzas: meaty, Buffalo chicken, and Chicago fire. Everyone loved it! Our waiter was also the bartender and he was running around like a crazy man but still kept his smile and awesome attitude. We ordered Gino's for takeout. Got a Chicago style with meat and mushrooms. The pickup process was real smooth and they had it ready for us. They had very kind service which made our little time in the restaurant enjoyable. The pizza was good, but the mozzarella sticks were better. I'd definitely recommend the mozzarella sticks sticks.
