We are well aware that it takes an hour for a deep dish pizza but both times we visit and we didn't get our salads for 45-50 minutes and had to repeatedly asked the server nor did we get our appetizers for over an hour. Big fail, despite the product service is super slow or not at all. We got seated and ordered, tables seated after us got hot appetizers before we got our salads after being there 30 mins, during that time we waited an hour for pizza. Disorganized and pitiful. There are a lot of problems here. The staff was friendly, but slow and disorganized. I'm not sure if it's a lack of training or what, but I felt like I was helping our server get acquainted with the menu. I've never been here before. That person said he didn't know what he was doing and couldn't ring me out but my pizza was sitting right in front of me. This might have been the worst service that I have ever received. We had looked forward to trying Giordano's since they announced the new location months ago. My husband had never tried true deep dish pizza and I was excited to introduce him to it. The visit started out good with no wait and immediate seating. The sun was literally blinding us, so I suggest that they invest in some more heavy duty blinds, because the sun shade they had up was doing nothing. No one came to greet us for the first 5 minutes and then another server stopped by to let us know that our server would be right with us. Huh? You can grab a drink order? Our server did come eventually and explain the long process it takes to cook the pizza and suggest that we order quickly so we wouldn't have to wait longer. We put in our pizza order first and then an appetizer order. That is the last time we saw our server until 45-60 minutes later when she was dropping off our pizza. My husband got one refill, thanks to a busser who saw he was empty passing by. I was in the service industry for years. This lady was not in the weeds, she was blatantly neglecting her tables. When I asked her about our appetizer, she said "you didn't get it?" and walked away in to the kitchen. She then came back and apologized because she had forgotten to put it in. The apology was half hearted and it only added insult to injury when she suggested that she could put it in now. Seriously?! She didn't even offer any sort of consolation for the poor service. She was pretty quick about getting the check though. So I guess there is the one positive. Had there been a Manager in sight, I would have gladly shared this experience. We went here not too long after opening. We were a little concerned about a wait but it wasn't bad at all for lunch. Great location and nice feel inside. It doesn't seem super large with a ton of seating but we didn't see the entire restaurant. We were seated quickly and had great service. The pizza was phenomenal - we all commented on how good they looked and were made "just right", especially for being a new location. They seem to know what they are doing! While the food was good, the lack of teamwork displayed amongst the employees affected our customer service experience greatly. Ada did a very good job juggling the literal and figurative plates but the lack of help given to her by her teammates was disappointing. Ada was knowledgeable and friendly and seemed to be moving/working constantly. There didn't seem to be a staff shortage as there were several employees that looked to have plenty of time to chat amongst each other. In a three minute period seven employees walked by a stack of plates on the edge of our table with out stopping to pick them up. The only other teammate we observed actually offering her any help was the runner that brought us our pizza. All of this to say that, aside from the fact that deep dish takes longer to cook (which we were aware of before and Ada reminded us of when we ordered) we felt that we were there much longer than necessary. We are big Giordano fans. In fact we have driven from Cincinnati to Columbus to have Giordano's pizza and it was great. We visited the this location for the first time and our pizza was not very hot and the service was terrible. Our original server told us she was told to clock out and go home and we would have another server which we didn't see until we needed our check. Sadly, by far the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I've ever personally experienced. I could have literally driven from Ohio to Chicago and gotten a carry out pizza faster. How is this even possible?!I have heard great things about Giordano's Pizza from people who have visited other locations. I attempted to place an online carry out order since the recorded waiting message says this is the best method to place an order, but when I searchedfor the Beavercreek location it is not displayed. (Later a manager confirmed the online system is not setup...WHY RECOMMEND IT ON A CALL WAITING MESSAGE THEN?! As I write this it is 3:45pm, I am still on hold after four separate calls (2 to the call center, 2 to the local store) for over an hour. For some reason my order was taken with an estimated pickup time one hour later; then I received another phone call saying my order was now going to be placed (not even ready) at 10pm (6hrs later??). I asked to speak with a manager and spoke with a female manager who stated she needed to check her ordering system for me.I waited another 20 minutes and then I was disconnected. I'm not sure what is going on at the Beavercreek, Ohio location, but it is clear they are not prepared to be open and should shut down until they are ready to deliver the services they promise. They had until the end of time writing this post to answer my 5th call with them to either explain what was...oh they just picked up...heard some shuffling around sounds and I just got hung up on yet again. Hopefully, they get their restaurant in order and can redeem themselves sooner rather than later. UPDATE: It was nice to have the management reach out on Yelp after seeing the negative one star review I had posted previously. I didn't respond because I wanted to give them another shot at redemption after a few weeks without any special treatment from management. I am very glad to say they have made a complete 180 and were able to take a deferred order for pickup at a scheduled time during lunch. The carryout was quick and polite. Most importantly the pizza was OUTSTANDING. It is now my favorite pizza I've ever tasted. I like the interior of this new location, it's very open, bright and inviting. We went mid afternoon to beat the crowds and we were seated immediately and initially had great service. I ordered an appetizer, because the pizza does take approximately 45 minutes for deep dish, which we were prepared for and had no issue with that timeframe. Once we had our appetizer though and still had a long wait for our pie, and the restaurant at this point was relatively empty our waiter just drop the ball and pretty much left us thirsty with no refills of water and it just kind of went downhill from there. The floor manager was present but pretty much just walking in between the kitchen and bar area and monitoring the room but no interaction with customers or checking in on tables and when we walked right by him leaving for the front door, not even a greeting of, Thanks for coming in or even a Have good day, nothing. So, food quality compared to their original Chicago location, which I've been to, I'd say is very good but the service and staffing needs some work and improvement especially being there mid day, empty, and still kind of a lack of follow through. My daughter and I ordered an $80 + order on 12/10/19 via delivery.. my order ( 2 stuffed pizzas and a chicken parm sandwich) was 15 mins earlier than promised and was very delicious. The Delivery driver Cliff , (first time I ever got a drivers name ...lol) , was extremely polite, nice, and patient with me (I'm disabled and slow..lol) ...this is the 3rd time we have had him and are so grateful for compassionate people like him. Pizza is good. We got the Special Deep Dish. Idk if it's worth the wait but they let you know upfront that it will take 45 mins if you want the deep dish. And it's also stated on the menu. Customer service is good. He stayed on top of our drinks and checked on us frequently. However it took 30 mins and asking twice for the waiter to give us our check and an additional 15 mins for him to come back to get it so we could pay and leave. 3 table of his tables were seated, they received drinks and had their orders taken while we waited ever so patiently with 4 kids. He was efficient getting people settled and comfortable just not very good at getting tables moved out. All in all, we prob would return but definitely not with our kids in tow. read more

This last time it seemed like the pizza was on the undercooked side. I ordered half chicken buffalo and half pepperoni the whole thing was topped with red pizza sauce, no bbq anywhere as advertised.
