This is located right on the border of Greek Town. One major problem is their parking lot is tiny and not big enough for the amount of tables they have inside! It's a busy Giordano's pizza, the bigger the party, the longer you have to wait to sit. I suggest you order the while you wait to be seated because it takes a while to make deep dish pizza. Once seated, they forgot to bring us water, they actually didn't bring it until 5 minutes after we started eating even though we requested it. After they brought the water/pop, they didn't come back to refill it. At first, I thought it was okay because they were busy. but from reading the other Yelp reviews, I learned that they have a habit with being slow for drinks. BUT, it's really not that big of a deal but you have to point it out when you review because some people care. Anyways, the pizza tastes really good and I thought I got my money's worth! As a LONG time customer, my family and I was treated the worst I've ever experienced Anyone being treated, ever! On a Sunday evening at 7:00, my family of 6 (3 of them kids!) ordered from the West Loop location on Van Buren at 7:00. I called one time to check on the pizza at the one hour and 15 minute mark. At 1 hour and 45 minutes, I called once again asking them if they could please give me an honest answer when our pizza would arrive. Vince, the "manager" said he didn't like the way I spoke to him, and Hung Up on me! I called back, asked for his name, his boss's info. He gave it to me an Hung Up Again! At the two hour mark I called one last time and begged him to please tell me when I would have our food, he said he didn't like the way I had spoke to him and he CANCELLED THE ORDER AND WE WOULD NOT BE RECEIVING OUR PIZZA!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! AND, and, as of the following morning, he has not refunded me my money. So in fact, they have stolen from me. After waiting for Two Hours for our food (being told it would be no more than one hour when we place the order), he left our family, with Three Kids, in a position that we had to find somewhere else to eat.... on a Sunday night at 9:00 !! This is not about food taking an extraordinarily long time to be delivered. This is about them taking it upon themselves to CANCEL my order without telling me (until I called back two hours later), and then KEEPING my money!! BAD MOVE GIORDANOS!!! Bad Move. The best Giordano's in the city because you can find street parking easily OR have your car valeted. There is a magnificent view of the Sears Tower which is why I like to take my friends here when they visit from out of town. There is usually little to no wait for a seat, where more popular locations have long waits. read more

You ask Chicagoans what the best Chicago-style pizza is, and you will get a myriad of answers. But trust me, I know best - it's Giordanos! They were a staple of my college career at nearby UIC. I could eat their deep dish nearly everyday, for any meal. Their crust is so thick (many of the other pizza places have smaller crusts), their sauce is so delicious, their cheese so plentiful, and they offer so many toppings, with fresh, tasty ingredients! My family from out of town demanded deep dish pizza, and they were so happy I took them here. This specific visit, we decided to get sausage and canadian bacon. Giordanos offers more toppings compared to some of the other Chicago-style pizza places. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, giving you a little of that italian feel in Greektown. They have some tv's for when your team is playing, and there is also an additional room in back that they also use for parties. They sell Goose Island 312 in pitchers (the best Chicago beer there is!) but also serve other refreshments to pair with your deep-dish. The parking lot is small, but I have never had a problem finding street parking near Greektown. If you haven't tried Giordanos pizza yet, then you haven't experienced Chicago-style deep dish yet either! read more

This is the absolute WORST Giordano's. We work close by and order about every other week. EVERY SINGLE TIME we place an order it is not ready. Even when we place the order an hour and a half in advance- we end up waiting at least 30 minutes with no apology and they mess up the order. I second the nasty employees. They delivered a cold pizza an hour and a half after I ordered. Told me it was my fault because they had buzzed me and called me. They had done neither. When I explained this to them they yelled at me and called me a liar. Apparently, when you are famous, you no longer need to provide good service or a quality product. You also have permission to treat your customers like dirt. Needless to say, I will not return and neither should you. My order was placed for 2 pizzas at 8:10pm, at 11:00 pm the pizza finally arrived. The scheduled time was 9:05, instead it arrived 2 hours and 50 minutes after ordering. To make matters worse the order was incorrect and cold. When I called for a status the phone continues to ring with no response. Terrible customer service and overall experience. read more

First time in Chicago with my family and we were recommended to try the famous deep dish at Giordanos. After sightseeing with the fam we came straight here and we were not disappointed. We walked in not knowing what to expect since we've never tried a deep dish before. As soon as we made it in we were greeted with great energy and a friendly smile by our server, Raul. He sat us and we asked our 21 questions about deep dish pizza and what to order, he was so nice and very helpful. Pets just say his recomendations were on point. We had the best lunch and now are officially in love with Girodanos deep dish pizza. We are only in town for 2 days and already planning to return one last time tomorrow. I don't understand why i have to pay to park my own car in the lot outside. This is one if the reasons i really don't come here. We were seated right away and our drink orders were taken. The waitress was nice and offered suggestions for food. We ordered some appetizers first which were really pretty good. We had several appetizers and the table wasn't that big, so the table started to get a little crowded. More plates were brought or but none were taken away. I started to put the dirty plates on an empty table next to us and those were quickly removed. The pizza and salad came out and still no appetizer plates or serving dishes were removed. I again moved some over to an empty table. When we asked the waitress to please have the dirty plates removed, she explained the bus boys weren't doing their job properly and there were not around. She left the plates on the table. A friend that was dining with us asked to speak to the manager. The bus boys quickly came out and cleared the table. read more

Probably my favorite deep dish pizza in Chicago. Food is very consistently good. I love the dry crust, and love how the sauce is on top of the cheese keeping it hot. Also, one of the few pizza places that has anchovies! This location is great too, they were late once and they gave me 50% off and a free pie for next time. read more

Busy place with parking (yay) and views of the skyline out the windows. Ordered salad with cranberries and candied walnuts and it was tasty. The pizza was hot. We got the veggie special. The vegetables were fresh and large pizza was immense. You don't realize that there is two layers per piece, so one piece is like eating two. Enjoyed it but it was far from my favorite pizza. Not sure what the hoopla is about Chicago pizza. Crust was thick, crunchy and and unflavored. Watched everyone at our table peeling it away from the vegetables as it was not enjoyable.don't think I would ever go back. read more

I am a regular customer of Giordano's and the customer service at this location is the WORST. I order hot wings and salad regularly from Giordano's from this location and the one on Rush Street. When I got my order, they gave me fried wings and hot sauce on the side. Usually, the wings are made correctly. If I wanted fried chicken, with hot sauce on the side then I would have ordered that. They were not accomodating at all to fix my order and told me that's how they always do it. I order there very regularly and that is completely untrue. There wasn't enough sauce provided for them to be true hot wings; just enough for a dipping sauce. The Rush Street location is very accommodating when they screw up an order. I'm very disappointed with their customer service effort. read more

I did not enjoy my experience here at all! We ordered a large thin crust pizza; half margarita and half chicken sausage. The pizza was not the best. The margarita side lacked flavor and sauce. When the check came, they charged us for a full large chicken sausage pizza and an additional half margarita. When we questioned the server and the manager came out and spoke to us. He explained that the additional charges was for the extra ingredients aka the margarita half which is "completely" different from the chicken sausage (that's what he told us). When we told him our waiter did not inform us about the additional charges, his response was "but did you ask her?". We asked our waiter if we can do a half half pizza, she only responded with yes, instead of telling us there will be additional charges. If I had known this, I would've ordered two medium pizzas. I've ordered countless pizzas for dine-in, carry-out, delivery as well as the frozen ones and I've always had a great experience. When I eat there the workers are always friendly and accommodating. I even called in once with only 20 minutes left before closing and they still got my order in and let us eat there. The pizzas taste great and the location is convenient for me. I went to Giordano's on Van Buren a few times. The pizza is very cheesy if you love cheese, I'm ok with cheese. I thought the pizza took so long was because of big crowds, but that was not the case the second and third time I was there. They took over two hours AFTER ordering the pizza to get to our table. The pizza was just OK, nothing great. Our table was very hungry,we had two hours to kill. Someone took the oregono wrapped a paper around it, and lit it. The manager accused us of smoking marajuana and it better not happen again. Smoking MJ would make somone hungrier, so I heard. After going to Lou Malnalti's, this place is just a memory. read more

We placed an order tonight for delivery. We live .3 miles from this location and it took 2 hours to get our order. The pizza was cold, the garlic Parmesan fries were cold and totally mushy, and they forgot 1 of the 3 sandwiches that we ordered. When I called, the first person I talked to seemed very distracted and confused and said let me get a manager. Then the manager came on and said what would you like me to do, I can't say when I would have your sandwich to you. It could be 30 minutes, could be more...I have no way of telling you. So I said fine just give me my money back. I was told that they would have to call me back with the new $ amount. About 30 minutes later they did, but the amount was incorrect...I gave up...won't be ordering from this Giordano's for a very long time, if ever...it was a $100 order of food and they didn't seem too concerned that they botched the order and delivery :( read more

Stuffed with Italian beef ) like in the sandwich) is so good and so juicy, got to try it and I am sure you'll have it again and again.... if it's for delivery then request it not to be cut and the breading will be crisp and dry versus soggy wet. A delicious reasonably priced place close to union station with great service an extensive menu and highly recommended stuffed pizza amongst everything else as well. Maybe not the best pizza in Chicago, but certainly top 10, and once you get that close to being the best even if you aren't what's the difference? Everytime I've come to Chicago I've gone back to Giordano's. A purest may say it's not the place to go but it's far better than jsut good-enough and at least they're well-located around the city and easy to get to unlike most of the other famous pizza joints. read more
