Came here on a Sunday afternoon. It was our first time at Giordano's and heard nothing but good things about it. We were told the wait would be around 30-45 mins but it took less, which was good. When we got to our table, it took about 10 mins to find someone to at least come up to our table to ask for our drinks. Waited another 5 mins and our server finally came up. As soon as she came up, she didn't even apologize for the wait, didn't say hi hello how are you doing. Nothing. She just took our receipt for when we pre ordered our pizza and said will this be all for you today. Awful costumer service here. Will never come back. Pizza is certainly always good, but the service here was less than standard. The waitress barely spoke English and had to be waved down three times. For a party of 4 she gave us two plates & silverware settings. We came for lunch and there were many open tables so it wasn't that she was too busy. She returned with our drinks but forgot the water we asked. No worries, but she forgot a second time and had to be reminded. We waited for almost :45 minutes for the pizza (normal) but over 20 minutes for our check after we told her we were ready. In the interim, she delivered drinks and food to other tables. She was not solo, there was plenty of other staff. So rating here based on individual service. This is not typical for Giordano's. read more

Loved the menu and multitude of options but was not crazy impressed with the pizza itself. With there was more crust and less cheese. When you're in Chicago you have to eat deep dish pizza! We were just arriving at the Navy Pier so we ventured into Giordano's for lunch. We were seated immediately, but be aware, if you order a deep dish pizza you will have about a 40 minute wait. We decided to go with 3 individual 6 inch deep dish pizzas so we could each have our own flavor. The crust was very hard, much thicker and harder than I thought it would be, but did have good flavor. The insides of the pizza with the gooey cheese, sauce and toppings were really good. Overall we thought the flavors were good but the crust was not our favorite. We left a lot of the crusts behind because of it. Service was good, just be prepared to have a wait to get the food. No military discount at this location. read more

Awesome place! When we went we had to wait for an hour (not unexpected on a Friday night in the summer) but they let us preorder our pizza and walk around navy pier while we waited. When we were seated, our pizza was basically ready! It was so seamless and easy, it made the wait feel like nothing. The only reason I'd give this 4 stars instead of 5 is because the tables are very close together and the service isn't anything to write home about. I felt like our conversations were being shared with the tables next to us, so just be aware of that when you plan to come here! read more

I felt like I needed to experience this before I left Chicago because it's Giordano's. My friends arrived before me and ordered the pizza then we explored the shops. We nearly missed our pizza because we didn't get the messages but one sprinted over and saved the day. If I were you, I would stick to water or soda because the drinks are nothing to write home about. But, and if this is the only thing you do while here, take a video or boomerang of the first slice being lifted and all that ooey, gooey, melty cheese stretching because you will want to remember that moment forever and make all your friends jealous. The deep dish pizza is sooooo good! Absolutely delicious. We also got the Calamari and combo appetizers. Our server was terrific. She was from Ukraine, very sweet, and took great care of us. The hostess was friendly and welcoming. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful day. Yes, the deep dish takes 45min but well worth the wait. Plus it was nice just relaxing on the patio. Went here after so many recommendations. Placed our pizza order at 1pm. We were sat at 1:20. Waiter didn't take our drink order until around 1:35-1:40. I had a very poor experience today at Giordano's with my girlfriend. We got our table over an hour after ordering our pizza and then it took another 15-20 min for the waitress to acknowledge us and another 15 min for her to bring out the pizza. This was about 20-30 min after the "estimated time" on our ticket...almost 1.5 hours after initially ordering our pizza. The pizza came out cold and we had to ask the waitress to refill our waters three times and she didn't do so until we had paid our check (which we also had to flag her down for). The wait time was an hour to sit down (which we anticipated, so the group preordered the pizza at the advice of the hostess. We were hoping it will cut down our wait time). It didn't. All in all we had to wait another hour and a half before we received the pizzas. The group finished eating, and I was still waiting on my order.
