Came to this Giordano's because it had the best ratings out of all of them in Chicago. Have to saw, it was pretty good. Wait was 5-10 mins for a party of 2 on a Saturday night. Service was just okay, nothing special and nothing wrong. The crust for the pizza though was really good and they mix in your toppings with the cheese. Be sure to join their mailing list early! That way they'll send you a deal for a free appetizer. I think there's a delay in their mailing list because when we signed up in the restaurant, we didn't get the email til maybe 6 hours later. Smart on their end. I can't attest to any of the other locations, but I will say I enjoyed this Giordano's pizza more than the Lou Manati's in River North. However, Giordano's is more expensive than Lou Manati's. Overall though, really good pizza. Be ready to wait 30-45 mins though for a deep dish! read more

I would never go back to this location. We waited an hour with several open tables available outside and several uncleared tables inside. During that hour I saw an excessive amount of staff, most of which were just standing around. They were in the middle of a shift change and let customers wait bc no one wanted to clear an extra table during the change or pick up an extra table. To boot, once we were seated our waiter spilled take appetizer all over the table, then brought out the pizza before bringing a replacement appetizer and then didn't bring us napkins or cutlery until 10 minutes after bringing the pizza. A buddy and I took a trip to Chicago and always heard about Giordanos so we gave it a try. It was one of the most heaviest and greatest tasting pizzas we had. The deep dish pizza was amazing. I have NEVER in my life waited 1.5 hours for a pizza or a dinner, but I did tonight and I'm happy I did. This was my first deep dish pizza and it did not disappoint. What I found to be unsettling was the way customers were ushered out to a cold, dark patio without heaters or lighting. Ate here on my vacation to Chicago. After I ate at Lou Malnatis I wanted to try this place. I ordered the meat lover deep dish pizza. This was indeed much deeper than Lou Malnatis and it was filled with cheese however, i think there was too much cheese. Even more than I can have on a pizza. At one point i thought i was going to drown in the cheese that it took away from the other star of the pizza which was the meats and the sauce. The pizza was still good but had it had a bit less cheese and more sauce and meat I wouldve appteciated it more. I still recommend this place. Having previously been encouraged to try their Chicago deep dish pizza by family and friends, I agree with them that Giordano's is awesome. After walking the length of Navy Pier on Memorial Day with my parents and aunt, we stopped by here for a late lunch. It's located in the very front of the very first building on the pier. Soon after being seated, my mom noticed a delicious looking appetizer on a nearby table. After discovering what it was called, we ordered "The Best" Ripe Tomato Bruschetta (an appetizer) which was really delicious. Consisting of diced tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, fresh mozzarella, and fresh basil on crispy garlic toasts with a balsamic glaze, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The deep dish pizza we ordered was topped with pepperoni and diced tomatoes. It was served in about half the typical time because we ordered one that had already been partially cooked so we didn't have to wait the full forty five minutes it takes to make one from scratch. My dad tried the 312 Urban Wheat Ale (Goose Island, Chicago) which he very much enjoyed. I definitely recommend checking them out the next time you're in Chicago. This location just opened in the last few weeks so I feel honored getting to leave the first review. Of course, Navy Pier is a really cool place so please allot some time to walking its full length before or after your meal. The views of the city's skyline and Lake Michigan (including a really interesting old lighthouse not all that far from the tip of the pier) are absolutely amazing. read more

We wanted to get some deep dish pizza before we left Chicago, but this is NOT the place to go. First off, their customer service was horrible. We decided to order a pizza while we waited for our table (would take about 40 min to wait for the table and for the pizza to be made). We decided to walk around while we waited and called to ask for a later reservation at the restaurant, which they agreed to. 20 min upon leaving, we received a call that our pizza was done even though we had moved our reservation time. They only offered to REHEAT our pizza when we came back for our reservation in TWO hours. We were not happy about it, but when we returned for our reservation, the manager did not realize we still wanted our pizza. What?? So we had to wait even longer, since apparently they had not kept our pizza on the warmer and had to get the pizza from "the back." I'm guessing they reheated our pizza in the back because when we dug into it, parts of the cheese were still a bit hard. I literally pulled out a chunk of cheese that looked like string cheese--yuck. Deep dish is not my thing, but this experience made it worse. Don't ruin your view on deep dish by trying it at this location. read more

Multiple people recommended this place for the Chicago deep dish so we checked it out. I don't like dough / bread that much but thought I should give it a try at a proper place at least. We sat at the bar since that was the only opening. Wasn't peak lunch but this place is inside the Navy pier mall so probably always busy. Server / bartender took a while to pay attention to us. The pizza took nearly an hour to come, which the server did warn us about. It did sit for a good 10 minutes before he went to get it though (I could see the kitchen from my seat). We got the vegetarian one since I don't like meat on my pizza except thin crust bbq chicken. I liked the veggies but the pizza itself was just too much - way too much cheese, dough, and oil. The way he presented the pizza and had my son pull the first piece like it was a special event made it a fun family experience.
