The sauce here is so good! Tangy and sweet tomato sauce that is just bursting with flavor. The deep dish pizza is what we came for, and we also got arancini, mozzarella triangles, and I got a side salad. All good, especially with the sauce to dip it all in. I do have to wonder if the arancini and mozzarella triangles are made here, or if they are shipped in from somewhere else... Slightly underwhelming, but definitely tasty My sister got a gluten free pizza, which was just meh. GF crust is hard to do, and she wasn't impressed quite enough by the sauce to push it past meh. The kids pizza was good enough for the picky 7 year old to demolish it, and plain buttered noodles for the 5 year old so good she ordered a second plate My sangria was nothing special, clearly a premade drink. I was not impressed when Matt ordered a ginger ale and was told they don't have it...and no clear soda alternate was suggested. Service was good - quick and everything was hot. I've been to one Giordano's before in Chicago so I had to make sure we stopped here on this visit. Conveniently next to the convention center and hotels. The sauce is one of the best pizza sauces I've ever had, and I've had a lot of pizza :) The service was fast, just make sure to order a deep dish before you arrive or get some appetizers to hold you over because they warn you it can take 45 minutes to cook a deep dish. The arancini was seriously good, I'll add those to my regular rotation here from now on. The pizza was just as good as I remembered, I am full and happy with the meal. The one star off is because of the gluten free pizza, it was kind of soggy and not very good. Not a great option for gluten free patrons. read more

Giordano's is a Chicago deep dish legend that has recently expanded outside of Chicago to other States and a cities. Thai particular one is located in downtown Indianapolis. My family and I was in town for my daughters cheer comp held right down the street in the convention center. I've made trips to chicago just to eat Giodanos and Lou Malanatis pizza before so that made visiting this location a no brainer. Giodanos is my favorite pizza I've ever had. I knew this coming in and it still Holds true after visiting this Indianapolis location. Same great taste and service yoi receive in the original Chicago locations. My parents, nephews and niece were in town with us and never have had Giodanos. They left away feeling like me. Very impressed. We went with my personal Favorite a large cheese, my parents got a meat lovers deep dish. I did try the calamari app for the first time at this location and it was pretty solid. Nice holdover while you have the long deep dish pizza waits (any true chicago deep dish should and will take at least 30 Min of fresh). Overall a great experience with my favorite pizza. The setup inside was spacious and had nice decor and vibes. Super jealous Indianapolis has a Giodanos and a Lou Malanatis and Lousiville has either. Fingers crossed they migrate another two hours south and get Lousiville locations. read more

Cute pizza spot in downtown Indianapolis!! I was in town for a work trip and was in desperate need of some warm food on a snowy weekend. I had an Amber beer to drink and started off with the Mozzarella Triangles! SO good. I ordered a thin crust pepperoni for my entrée which missed the mark a bit for me. I had never heard of Giordano's. A friend of mine said they were a small chain of Italian restaurants in Indiana and she liked them. Time to give it a try. My server (I didn't catch his name) was terrific. Friendly, helpful and patient. He checked up on me just at the right moments. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan dinner. The presentation was simple and plentiful. 2 chicken cuts covered with mozzarella cheese over a layer of sweet tomato sauce. There was a side of spaghetti as well. I was definitely full. The meal tasted good and was accompanied by a glass of Pepsi. My 2 recommendations would be drain the spaghetti very well so it doesn't water down the sauce. And get Coca Cola products in house! I am not a fan of Pepsi. I would recommend Giordano's for a good night out of eating. Next time, I want to try the deep dish pizza. Eat and enjoy! read more

Alright - rare miss from these peeps. I recommend just calling it in if you order to go. I was reallly jonesing for some tomato soup. (TLDR - they took forever and gave me minestrone.) They don't have the tomato soup on the menu that I see. Just soup of the day. But I asked and it's my lucky day. They have it today! I thank the host and sit at the bar to place my order and wait. No bartender anywhere. The host realizes this and comes to put my order in saying "let me put in that minestrone for you." Im careful to correct that it's tomato soup. He then leaves to grab lunch - understandable. He comes back like 25 minutes later and see's me still sitting there with a long look on my face. But to his credit he springs into action. Brings it out right away. They apologize. I pay. Walk it all the way to my office. All is well right? Nah. It's minestrone :(. i have eaten giordano's twice, both ordered online. and each time an item was missing. 1st order: chicken parmesan, calamari & more and tiramisu. chicken parmesan was good, firm chicken nicely prepared the tiramisu was very good on calamari they forgot the house made marinara so the dish was lacking, the calamari itself was ok, -average frozen food distributor fare. 2nd order (today): 10" the special -deep dish, cheesy garlic bread, tiramisu 10"' deep dish "the special" -which it is not, slightly undercooked, dough is average, kind of airy and bland, where's the love? cheesy garlic bread was a average, not from scratch bread and some cheese and they forgot the tiramisu! overall a less than average fare st downtown prices and your luck to get everything you ordered. read more

Understaffed on their busiest evening during Indy 500. The servers were running and trying their best and I'm sure the cooks were. No bartender so manager was filling in which is great but still waited an hour for any drinks. Ordered gluten free chicken Alfredo, GF cheese pizza, Chicago style pizza and a BYO pizza. We were there 3 hours! Pasta came out before anything else even drinks. Then at least an hour later they said it was the gf pizza. Turns out the pizza and pasta weren't gluten free because I checked the receipt and my stomach reacted terribly. The last 2 pizzas came out 2 1/2 hours after we arrived. I wasn't really in the mood for pizza (surprisingly) so I opted for the chicken parm sandwich that comes with your choice of a side (I opted for parm fries because my friend was raving about them) I didn't care for the chicken sandwich at all it lacked flavor on every level and the breading was falling apart. The fries however, were very good! I didn't send my sandwich back or complain because the service was sooooo good, from the manager that greeted us when I came in to the manager who brought the food out...everyone was so friendly I couldn't dare send it back. (wow, that's a big but!) go in twice and one day so I'm writing my review just on the place and customer service alone. We were in town for a Pacers game and our hotel was right across the street from this place. We had just eaten so we weren't interested in food at the time so we got a couple of drinks. We sat at the bar. Service was fast and friendly. I enjoyed watching the pizza maker behind the bar. After the game we stopped back in for food. But it was 9:35 and they closed at 10. I didn't think it was fair to ask if it was too late to order so we had another drink and headed out to another establishment for food. Being from the south I'm used to sweet tea. They only had unsweetened tea. They have a great patio to enjoy your meal but also be able to people watch. It's been years since I've eaten Giordano's in Chicago and the last time I went, I didn't have the best experience. I am soooo glad I decided to visit and have lunch here! I wish I could give more than five stars. My cousin and I came around 2pm and it was completely dead- we were the only ones in the restaurant. Heather was our server and we LOVED her! She was so funny and sweet and made us feel right at home. We ordered the appetizer sampler at her recommendation (she said that's what she always ordered when she couldn't make up her mind) and a medium deep dish, half special and half pepperoni/jalapeño. Went out to dinner with the family and ordered Cesar salad, cheese bread and a deep dish pizza. The cheese bread was good but let me tell y'all about the Cezar Salad!!! After we served it out to everyone at the table, my salad started to MOVE!!! It wasn't because of me. It was because of a BUG that was crawling around amongst the lettuce. OH NO!!!!!!!!! The manager came over and said we won't charge you for it. I asked the salad or the bug? She laughed and said the salad! The rest of our food was good but COME ON! So they gave us another cheese bread for free and charged us full boat on our dinner. I'm trying not to let this BUG me but full ride on the bill? Oh well. There won't be a next time!!!!! read more

I have been to Giordano's lots of times, and I'm happy they have a location in Indianapolis. Being from Chicago, I've had a lot of deep dish pizza, and Giordano's is one of my favorites. The pizza here is always great. It's a perfect food at certain times, and whenever I want Chicago deep dish, this where I come. I went with a few friends, and we all left satisfied. The portion sizes are big, so we always end up with extra slices, which is a nice! That said, the only somewhat downside is the price. Giordano's can be expensive, especially for people on a budget. A single pizza is over 25$, which might be a bit steep for some, but one pizza does give you a lot of food so it could be justified. The quality of the pizza as well justifies the price in my opinion. It's filling and you really get what you pay for. The service at this location is efficient, but sometimes you may have to wait, especially on weekends. Overall, I'm giving Giordano's in Indianapolis a good score, despite the high price, the pizza is really great. It's definitely one of the best pizza options in the area, and I'm happy to have it close by. If they could make it a bit more affordable, I would give 5 stars but it's still worth it for sure. read more
