Our House Salad ($10.15 - entree-sized), Cheese Deep Dish ($23.15 - medium), and Fresh Spinach Deep Dish ($24.85 - medium) were accurate and excellent in flavor and portion size for the 4 of us as we were quite full and brought 1 slice shy of a full pizza back home. We visited Giordano's on 82nd for the first time. We sat in the bar area. It was a smaller restaurant than what we thought. However, they have an outdoor seating area. We ordered the Italiano entrée salad for $13.45. We asked for no olives, and it was made exactly as we ordered. The salad had a lot of meat ingredients. The lettuce was chopped iceberg. The salad was good, but not outstanding. We like the antipasto salad at Buca di Beppo. Giordano's salad did not come close. It was blander, in our opinion, but we did love the amount of ingredients. We also ordered a small build your own tavern style pizza. The base cost of the pizza is $12.75. It was $3.15 for each protein ingredient. We ordered pepperoni and sausage. The pizza was fabulous! We liked thin, cracker crumb, crust pizza in this met the mark. The pepperoni was crisp just how we like it. The sausage was in larger chunks and very flavorful. We were surprised at how well we liked the Tavern style pizza. If you do not prefer deep dish pizza, the Tavern style is the way to go! Our server, Pamela, was nice and friendly. She was attentive and kept our water glasses filled. She also checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. She was knowledgeable about the menu. Our bill was accurate. Our food was served quickly and was hot and fresh. We have been to the shopping center where Giordano's is located many times. We have come to Harry & Izzy's, L.L. Bean, and the Container Store. Not quite on the level of Lou Malnati's, but since they are gone from Indy, this feels like a good replacement. We also got the Giordano's Sampler, which was great overall. The bruschetta was a bit overcooked, but our waitress offered to replace it, which we appreciated but didn't feel the need to. The pizza was very filling, and we ended up taking more than half of it home. Timing was perfect too since it came out right after we finished the appetizers. Service was smooth from start to finish. Our waiter was friendly and quick, and we never had to wait around, even when it came time to get the bill. The space itself felt comfortable, open, and clean. Came here on a visit to Indiana and was very surprised that they had a Giordano's location. Husband and I were looking for some quick dinner that wouldn't be too long far from our hotel and this was perfect for a night pickup order. Called and placed an order over the phone and they were really kind enough to make a Custom White Sauce Deep Dish Pizza because I had a bit of an aversion to the classic red sauce. I am not sure what I took pictures of, but it was not pizza. I have known pizza to include sauce and toppings. It seems that we missed the memo on putting sauce on the pizza. I wouldn't normally complain about one mistake, but this is the second time this week we got a pizza from Giordano's with no sauce. If you look at the cover photo for this restaurant, you may notice what a stuffed pizza is. The picture below was a dystopian parallel universe interpretation of a "stuffed pizza". Sadly, it also took three hours for me to receive this "pizza". At least the "pizza" was shockingly both cold and burnt to a crisp in addition to being three hours late. Came here due to it stating dogs were welcome on the patio .. came in and waited at the host desk for about 3 minutes (was not busy at all) and asked if we could sit on the patio due to us having our dogs and was told no that they don't allow dogs on patio .. so ordered take out.. waited outside and when it was time to come in no one was in sight again but the cook noticed me and helped me and was so nice and welcoming. I went to Giordano's on Monday night on November 24th where I met up with my friend. I've passed by the restaurant many times, and for some reason kept forgetting to go there. I arrived there close to 8pm, Giordano's is close to Fashion Mall on the Northeast side of town. Entering, the building there aren't any stairs, low ramp for customers that need it, there are plenty of parking spots in that area. Since, it was late at 8pm didn't have to wait to be seated, Server was a young man named Karron he was very pleasant, professional, & very helpful on the menu. Once, my friend and I sat down there was a family that came in that sat next to us so we wasn't the only customers in before closing. For, food we ordered traditional chicken wings BBQ, and Calabrian Chili Honey wings. The wings was so delicious, right size especially for that price $16.35, and their ranch sauce was so yummy with the chicken wings. Now, to our main meal which was a large cheese pizza with extra cheese. Although, we initially ordered a large pizza the cook accidentally made the pizza small, so the Server brought the small pizza out explained to us what happened, and the cook made a new one that was a large pizza. Then, the Manager came out to apologize, informed us what happened, and new large pizza was on the way. Giordano's does have a full bar, the ambiance of the restaurant is pizza-themed, clean, and has great lighting in the restaurant. For our meal, we decided to split a deep dish bbq chicken bacon pizza which we found to be very delicious. Giordano's is a hard pass! I can honestly say never again. I was reluctant to go but the kids wanted to try it. I told them this summer we could go to Chicago and eat much better pizza, they insisted and I gave in. We order two pizzas, deep dish with sausage, green peppers, onions, and salami and a tavern style Margherita. Both pizza's were super disappointing. My fist bite of The deep dish was a mouthful of green peppers and onions so was the second bite so I pulled the slice apart to find a few pieces of chopped up super thin, super crunchy burnt salami and three pieces of crumble sausage. The next slice was the same WTH! It was basically a green pepper and onion pizza. The amount of toppings was so minimal. Totally unacceptable for any pizza. I stopped eating. The tavern style margherita was super dry with minimal sauce and minimal cheese and room temperature. Giordano's is tourist novelty and true Chicago style pizza lovers don't eat here. It was the Friday before the holiday so we were concerned it would be too busy but the celebration would justify the wait. We arrived at 6 PM and were amazed, no wait at all! We ordered the Chicago Classic and 3 side salads. What a meal!!! We each had 2 pcs and our personal aide salad, it all came in less than 35 min after we ordered and it was a taste of heaven! So good and so delicious . Very happy and satisfied we came. We also took 2 slices home for the next day.
