My boys and I wanted some close by and consistently good. They chose Olive Garden. I was soooooooo surprised to see it packed with people. I did a quick Google search and they've been around for 40 years!! And to see the place so crowded was really cool. They're doing something right. We did the online check-in for a table of 3 and when we arrived in the restaurant we were literally ready to sit. Our server was AMAZING and attentive. We ordered the chicken gnocchi soup, eggplant Parmesan and kids pizza with fries. All of it was really good and great priced. My youngest was fixated on the cheese grater and worked up the courage to ask our server if they sold them. Lo and behold they did. Manager James helped us with our purchase and was just so nice. I had lunch here today with several colleagues and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. This place has the space for bigger parties which makes it a good choice. I always love the fresh breadsticks with the Alfredo dipping sauce. That's a must when I go along with the Zoupa Toscana. Today I opted on the meatballs appetizer and those were delicious to me. It was so hard to resist dessert but I had to pass since I knew I'd be going out to dinner later tonight. Manager came by to check on us which seems to be a foregone art so I loved that. Had a mixed experience here, I was disappointed. We came with eight friends. We did the call ahead seating. The table wasn't ready when we arrived although the restaurant was relatively empty. We were seated in a really nice private alcove...it was quiet, so we could talk. First, our server, Marissa was great - friendly, attentive, accommodating. She was 5 star. I ordered the soup and salad. The salad comes out family style and by the time it got to me, there was only lettuce. The gnocchi soup was served sloppily with soup all over the rim of the bowl, only 4 gnocchi and cold. I must have got the bottom of the pot. I didn't want to complain because of the large group. My husband had the eggplant parmesan and he thought it was very good. We ordered a linguini fettuccini to go for next day. It really tasted like a bottled sauce. Nothing special. We went to celebrate my son's birthday with a party of six. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. I'm not sure if they were short staffed, but we noticed a few issues with other tables around us as well. While we were given plenty of breadsticks, the Alfredo sauce was another story. We had to ask every single time, and after waiting about five minutes, the server would bring out a tiny dish with maybe two ounces of sauce. By the time our food finally arrived...almost an hour later, everyone was already full from bread. The overall atmosphere wasn't great either. There was a cart being used to pick up dirty dishes that stayed in the middle of the hallway the whole time, which didn't make for a pleasant dining experience. On the positive side, the manager looked overwhelmed but still made the effort to check in with each table, which I appreciated. The food itself was just okay. For a total of $160, it wasn't terrible, but for that price, I think there are better options out there. Sadly, this will probably be our last visit. read more

We love going to Olive Garden, especially for our birthdays. Last night we went to celebrate my daughter's 7th birthday (since it's her favorite restaurant) and we were all disappointed with the service and the food. Our server Danielle, did not make it a special experience for any of us. Barely coming to our table to refill waters and even said, "honey I don't sing and do birthdays". Let me just say, it ruined our baby's night, especially since there were other parties who were able to celebrate their birthday with a song from staff. So, Olive Garden and I go way back. When I was in college in the 1980's, I used to drive up to Indy on Friday nights to the Olive Garden that was close to Lafayette Square Mall. Times have changed. So, I didn't know what to expect from Olive Garden in the modern, COVID-19 age. This restaurant chain gets a lot of bad press and a lot of negativity on social media. However, my experience at this Olive Garden was actually very positive. First off: The food quality is pretty decent. Yes, it's true that I've spent the last seven years leaving Yelp reviews on 5-star "fine dining" restaurants, so my standards have come up a little since I was a college student in the 80's. The breadsticks, salad and lasagna were all perfectly delightful, and there was never any shortage of food on the table. Secondly, our server was an awesome young lady who was extremely attentive and pleasant. And, the overall cleanliness of the restaurant was great. In this visit, we had to remind our server to bring the dip for the breadsticks. 3. It is a lack of training that causes poor timing in the serving of food. I ended up going to Olive Garden on Tuesday night Sept 27th. My family & I went to have dinner after my niece High school Orchestra performance that night. I really love Italian foods as well as others in my family. Entering the restaurant there are no stairs, low ramp sidewalk, and plenty of the handicap parking spots. Once, in the restaurant we were greeted by the hostess of that night. We, had for an appetizer the delicious cheesy mozzarella cheese patties, it was so delicious, nice crunchy taste, hot & fresh. At, first I wasn't a fan of mozzarella cheese sticks or even the mozzarella cheese patties at all, however I'm growing more in love with it. For, my entrée I had the delicious chicken soup, creamy, plenty of chicken meat, and I had the delicious five cheese Ziti al forno that was very delicious, cheesy, and just a delicious pasta dish. Not pictured in this review, but my niece had lasagna, nephew had shrimp alfredo, and lastly my mom I had the Olive Garden famous house salad along with the chicken soup. Oh, my mom & I both had the delicious Italian Margarita with a small shot of Tequilla. Everything, was really delicious, fresh, the Server he was nice as well as funny, and at first I was thinking the food at Olive Garden was going to be just okay. Olive Garden is the McDonald's of Italian food. My husband and I went because we had a gift card. The restaurant was clean and the service was very good. The food was terrible, very commercial. I had the chicken margherita which had enough pesto for 4 more plates and 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half. The mozzarella on top was still shredded and not melted at all. The amount of salt made my tongue shrivel. My husband had the tour of Italy. The center of the lasagna was cold, the fettuccine Alfredo was sticky, and the chicken parm might as well have been a chicken nugget. Why do people rave about the bread sticks? They are nothing more than a long dinner roll coated in butter, sprinkled with garlic salt. We were not expecting 5-star cuisine, but this was garbage. Olive Garden has always been our celebration spot (as it is for many Indian-American families). It's some of the most basic, rudimentary 'Italian' food you can find, but between the nice linens, the cheese graters, and the abundant pasta portions, it somehow feels like luxury. Sadly as the brand has been taken over by the Darden group and corporate management, it's lost its charm. This could also be a byproduct of my own personal growth: simply put, I've now had GOOD Italian food so the 'magic' of Olive Garden really doesn't faze me anymore. We went to this branch to celebrate my mom's birthday last year and, well, we just didn't feel like family (sorry, I couldn't help myself). The waiters seem forced to be there, the food is unilaterally over-salted, the service is abysmal, the tables weren't really hygienic (at all), and the tiramisu - the dessert that I always look forward to - was frozen and we couldn't have it. Let's just say if it weren't for the breadsticks and the zeppoli, we wouldn't have even been singing Happy Birthday at all, I don't think. read more

I'll start with that their portions are really really big so easily one portion will easily give you a dinner for next day. I think their fettuccine alfredo is delicious, so is ravioli carbonara. (We were able to finish ravioli carbonara so I wouldn't hope on having 2 dinners ordering this one.) I got 2 cocktails that tasted like just juice. I swear - they were crazy sweet. I am a huge fan of sweet cocktails, I always order really sweet positions but those ones were too much. It was so thick and sweet that I was getting overwhelmed with every single sip. I doubt there was alcohol in it, again, only thing we could taste was sugar, even in sangria - you can't taste wine at all, just fruity juice. After having 2 drinks I decided to give it the last chance and try something that supposed to be less sweet. Server asked us if we're driving because if we are she needs to cut us off. (My boyfriend had 2 small beers) I appreciate caring about everyone's safety but we're grown ups and we are able to judge how much we can drink. We were staying there for a while since it was celebration dinner and we had bunch of food. It made us feel judged and uncomfortable, not what we're looking for in service. Came here for my daughter's 17th birthday. It was her choice as she loves their gluten free pasta. I probably haven't eaten at Olive Garden for over 20 years...and this trip reminded me why I have no desire to come back. Sunday around noon and the 30 minute wait was only about 10 minutes. The place wasn't busy, but probably due to numbers of servers/cooks. First, the hits ...our server was really good. I forget his name, but he was friendly and attentive. The parts of the salad that weren't drenched in dressing, were fresh and tasty. The broccoli that came as a side was plentiful and cooked nicely. Now on to the misses...the food is really disappointing. My kids tend to love the food - basic pasta, pizza, and breadsticks, but It's really ordinary quality though. Hopefully my children's standards will improve as they get older I ordered the grilled chicken Margherita, one of the few dishes under 600 calories. The chicken was a bit over cooked - ok flavor. Thankfully, the broccoli was cooked well. My wife ordered the salmon, again over cooked. Aside from the food, the bathrooms were very rundown and I felt like I needed to be sanitized after washing my hands. I guess most people know what they are getting when they go here. This was dvd busiest Olive Garden I've ever seen and for some reason no one in that parking lot can drive. It was legit the craziest thing I've seen in a while, people will just randomly park in the road, cars will honk at ya while tailgating--it's weird. But the nice thing is because it's busy they will take your phone number and you can go chill in your car u til your table is ready. The service was really great even tho they were crazy busy. But the food was meh--the salad was excellent as usual but the breadsticks were cold and hard. The fettuccini which I got that use to be creamy and good was lumpy and cold almost clumpy from probably sitting under a heat lamp and dried out. I had the new cheese tortelloni with chicken and I do hope it becomes a regular everyday dish on the menu. Right now, Olive Garden has their $5 take home special going on where you can buy an additional take home entree with any entree order for only $5. I'd recommend skipping that if you want to take home fettuccine alfredo. At least at this location... they use some kind of pre-made frozen balls of alfredo at this location and they separate HORRIBLY upon heating them. It eventually thickens up when you mix it, but there is just heaps and heaps of grease and it looks less than appetizing... We will probably return to this location eventually, just won't be ordering any additional take home meals. read more
