I won't even bother. Order a pizza from Lou Malnatis pizza in Chicago online, shipped frozen to your door and it will be better than here. BEFORE their official opening the wait was 2 hours FOR CARRYOUT. Now, IF they answer, they can't even get you a CARRYOUT pizza today. You can have one next Wednesday. No kidding. If you place your order today (Saturday) The pizza I did one day get was marginal at best. Not worth the wait. Not worth the money. read more

Food is okay but customer service left much to be desired. Ordered online with a pickup at 12, when we got there, none of our food was ready. One of the managers told us that that they are given a window after the pickup time to make the food. KEEP THIS IN MIND WHEN ORDERING ONLINE!! I had never ordered pickup with such fashion. Pickup time was pickup time, not come in to pick things up and then wait for them. My father was a bit upset about this and the assistant manager was quite rude to him, calling him a liar. It exploded from there. Anyways, the pizza is decent, but the rest of the good to go is just not worth it. Their mozzarella sticks were cold and hard. The Fettuccine Alfredo was noodles with less than a splash of alfredo. I get that this establishment is busy, but service and food leaves much to be desired. Let me start by saying I travel a lot and use yelp as my primary means of selecting restaurants to eat at. I was very skeptical about going to this restaurant because it had a three star rating and we usually don't go to three star restaurants. I read the reviews that people have posted and was very skeptical about what to expect. A friend in Chicago suggested we go anyway and try it. We arrived at approximately 1pm on a Saturday. There were a few people in front of us waiting to be seated. The hostess was very friendly and they even took our order before we sat down so that the deep dish pizza could start being made. There were five of us in our party. We were seated before everyone could even make their pre-orders. Once seated the server immediately took the rest of the people in our party's orders. Drinks arrived quickly. Three of our food orders arrived quickly. Unfortunately the deep dish pizza and one of the thing crust pizzas took longer. We expected a 45 minute wait for the deep dish pizza. Within 10 to 15 minutes after everyone else received their orders, the two remaining pizzas arrived. The server was very apologetic and kept everyone's drinks full. To our surprise, the server remove the drink price from our bill for the pizzas arriving late. I was surprised at all the negative reviews that this restaurant had received. Based on my experience, the food quality was very good the service was amazing. If ever back in town again, I will definitely go to this restaurant. read more

Service was actually not bad today. We came on a Sunday and there was a good amount of people inside. Having had Deep dish in Chicago before we were excited to see if this would stack up. Maybe it's the water or the oven, but it just wasn't that great. The wait portion took a little longer, they said that kitchen was backed up, but the tables near us got their pizzas first. Even when we did get it, I found the bottom of the pizza to still be pretty undone-almost raw. The crust just didn't taste as good as in Chicago. The cheese portion was ok. Will just go to Chicago for deep dish. The small pizza can serve about 3 people if you are a two slice eater. read more

It goes without saying that the food is wonderful! The staff though is phenomenal! Our server Donovan was wonderful and great sense of humor along with the manager DA. I can't begin to say how much fun I had having lunch with my girls because of them. The pizza came out wrong due to an entry error but they more then made up for it with incredible customer service. Meatball sub was great! Just like chicago! Though the Northside and Southside beef subs were premade, and very overloaded with peppers. It's just a fancy Philly. We had good service though and a very ethusiastic server. But it is a very audible place, and able to hear conversations over 4 tables away. Price was reasonableish. Giordano's is a great addition to the Indy area. Nicely located just east of the fashion mall with a deceptively large and flexible seating area, both inside and out. The stuffed deep dish is obviously the star attraction here, but we've also had the thin crust pizza, which is very good as well. The garlic bread is wonderful and will help carry you through the 45 minute wait for the deep dish. It is nice not to have to be in Chicago to have Giordano's, but we still usually stop when we are there. The service is fine. My only complaint would be not being able to call ahead to place your order when dining in, which guarantees you'll be there a while. read more

I'm not a huge pizza fan but I lovee cheese! The stuffed pizza was amazing. I was able to personalize it too! You know...it's Chicago deep dish (what they call stuffed) and it's mighty good. Here are a few things to know: --You can call ahead and get your name in on the list --You can order a stuffed pie in advance of being seated (they take 45 min to make, so this makes your time at the table a bit shorter...just waiting for that delicious pizza to make it's way to your table --You can order out..both frozen and cooked They have a few beers on draft, some are even local. The lunch specials look fantastic, but I have yet to go during the lunch hour. A new location is opening in 2016 downtown, so that might be my chance to go eat at lunch! This place has been open for almost a year and they still have long waits. It's not a huge place and wish it were a bit larger. read more

Great Pizza! This is a small place that serves BIG pizza. We had no issues and got a table quickly. We had excellent service and since we were there with friends the 45 minute wait for the pizza flew by. They offer some tasty appetizers and had some good looking beers on the menu. We sat in the bar area in a nice large booth. I would for sure go back. But plan wisely, go at an off time or be prepared to wait. Leaving right at the typical dinner time and the place was wall to wall people. It was so crowded. I am glad we went early. read more

5 PM dinner on Saturday. Half full restaurant. The hostess station wasn't quite ready for the 3 groups that came in at one time. Nothing says service with a smile like a biting argument between co-workers with palpable tension. Add a little eye roll action, and sneers for good measure. The manager was even in on it! Very professional. Once they decided whom they were going to seat first, we followed our hostess to an obviously dirty table. Plates, drink glasses, used napkins - the whole shebang! My husband and and I looked at her, and he said "that looks dirty". The hostess said, "always sending me to dirty tables", and something under her breath. She starts walking away without any other word, and my husband and I still standing there. Are we sitting at the dirty table? Were we suppose to follow? He follows, I hang back by the dirty table. She ends up reseating us, without talking to anyone else, at a totally different table, and then walks away really annoyed. Then here comes the manager with another set of people... Guess where they were headed? To our table of course! The manager then made a snide "someone stole our table" remark, had that couple stand there, and then came back for them, and sat them, all the while having a "I hate my job" look on her face. A few minutes later, here comes the manager again with a server to move two tables together. The manager again feels the need to make a comment about how we got sat there, and our presence was making it difficult to seat this large party. . Ok lady, fine, we get it, you're not a fan of your job, but it's not our fault, and it's so completely rude to keep making comments. Not sure what difference us sitting there makes since she was going to sit someone there earlier. Honestly, had she asked us to move, we would have. I'm assuming the fun, helpful attitude of the manager is the the reason the hosts were representing is such a positive way. There's just something so uncomfortable about eating somewhere where everyone is in a bad mood. Luckily our waitress was nice, and the food was great! But, the overall attitude problems and the dirty bathrooms, did it in for me. Had really high hopes! My hubby and I agree we'll do take out next time. Really, this was probably one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences we've had in a long time because of the poor attitudes. This was our first trip too, so not a great first impression at all. ***update: reading other reviews it looks like manager/staff issues are a running theme. Corporate should do something about that because this restaurant is no where near the caliber of their Chicago counter-parts (where we've eaten many times). First of all if any Giordano's folks read this. Thank you for coming to Indy. A long time ago my friends would jump in the car and drive to Chicago (back when gas was $1 per gallon) for a weekend of exploring the big city. We would always eat at Giordano's. In 2003 I took an internship with Disney and wouldn't you know. There was a Giordano's just a few blocks from my apartment. The service and the food has been outstanding during every visit. Historically, Girodano's food and services has always been on point. It's been a while since we've ordered from here, so naturally we were all excited! We opted to order online to speed up the process to prepare for an upcoming event. We submitted the request 2 hours ahead of schedule for a specific pick-up time. Upon arriving to pick up our order, the host's reaction made us believe the food wasn't even close to being ready. Rather than leaving at the designated pick-up time, we waited about 45 additional minutes. At that rate, I could've just ordered in person. Online ordering was supposed to expedite the process not hinder it. When We inquired about the hold up, all we were told was,"We are really backed up". Overall, pretty disappointed with the process and customer service. I would imagine a 2 hour window is ample time to prepare for pick a pick up. Just a heads up for anyone ordering online -- it may not be as convenient as you may think. Check in first. Please improve this procedure, thanks in advance. read more

My little sister and I hit this place up Sunday evening last weekend. No wait time they got us in as soon as we hit the door which is always a plus for me. Our waitress got our drink orders quickly and gave us time to look over the menu. I'm a down-south southern woman so I have to have SWEET TEA no matter where I go and they had it. Now it definitely wasn't that sweet but I'll take what I can get up this way. We both ordered a small pie. I ordered the veggie and she had the bacon/pepperoni. We also order wings half barbecue and mild. Everything came in a timely manner and our waitress stayed alert and on our refills the whole time never had to ask for anything. So basically the customer service was on point which is why 4stars were easy to grant. Now to the food. The wings were ok nothing I would suggest or even try again if they had a special. Not seasoned well and the sauces didn't help at all. Now on the other hand our pizza/pies were prefect. I was totally shocked by the broccoli in the pie. I didn't read what exactly comes in the veg pie but being that I don't eat meat I always go for veggie pizza. This was a good shocker and I enjoyed it completely. My little sister also enjoyed her meaty meal too. I definitely would suggest this place to family and friends when they come in town. read more

We went today for my son's birthday. He has always loved the pizza from Giordano's. We have family in Chicago. We have always stopped by Farewell Ave's restaurant. Today we ordered a large pizza, well knowing we would bring home leftovers. My husband who happens to be lactose-intolerant, ordered the Italian beef sandwich and buffalo boneless wings. Those two plates were brought to my husband 35 minutes BEFORE our stuffed pizza. When our pizza arrived and we did enjoy every bite. Taste is perfect, and quality of food is perfect. My 2 sons and I had a slice each. Out of 10 slices on the large pizza, we brought home five slices. Do the math. I really wish I checked the take home box before we left and counted. It was a $33 pizza. They stole from us, the two delicious slices that could've been our lunch tomorrow. This restaurant's service quality needs to be improved and the respect to the dollar value of food needs to be upped. read more

I've always been a staunchly NYC style pizza guy. But for some reason, I was craving that pie, and Giordano's is the place to get it. Got a standard medium size, cheese and pepperoni, and I could not eat more than a slice at once. Even after a bit of a long wait, which they're very forward about, I still had to take an entire pizza home. This thing is going to make one heck of an awesome breakfast though. My one caveat is we were delivered the wrong food twice. We went close to closing, but it was still nearly empty. Bathrooms there are kinda kitschy and fun, but the entrance is amidst a whole wall of couples tables. And it looked clean, but felt unclean, if that makes sense. They do do have a cool foot pull for the door, so that's a big thumbs up. Would go again, with someone who really likes deep dish. Interested to see what the one downtown Indy will be like. read more

Really neat place. Ordered pizza and it was amazing!!! Very small but has a great atmosphere.

The pizza was delicious!!! The service though, left a lot to be desired. After several attempts to get through, we were finally able to place our order. Our order was ready when we arrived, which was a plus. Also, the parking lot was packed...and while a lot of folks would see this as a negative, I was impressed that this place had such a following that folks would wait for such long periods of time to be served. Once we got home with our pizza, it was not our order....but we ate it anyway. I think that as time goes along the kinks will be worked out. I've been to this location multiple times and the food never fails! Great food! This is the only restaurant chain that has true Chicago deep dish pizza here in Indy! The oversized skillet cookie was the best part of the meal though! The service is very hit and miss. Tonight our server was Lindsay and she was amazing! Anyone that supports my dessert habit as an appetizer is a winner in my book! This is why I would highly recommend sitting at the bar area. Believe it or not it is less rowdy and there is a more personable service! Definitely in my top 5 favorite pizzas here in Indiana! read more
