*Dun dun dun* We had a restaurant.com certificate, which from what I've heard, can sometimes create animosity between the customer and the restaurant. We didn't have any problems, whatsoever, in fact I felt like we were treated like royalty. Mind you, we had 7 people and ordered a ton of food and drinks so it's not like we cheaped out, in any respect. The place was packed but the food was very good. Went there based on the other reviews. 4 adults one child, lunchtime Sunday, $75.00 Pros: 1) Nothing really special here to list Cons: 1) Appetizer came out pretty undercooked. (Also pretty small in size for $11.50) 2) Forgot the kids meal of spaghetti saying there was a "pasta backlog" and would be 5 more minutes - after all the adults had been served. That goes over well with the kids. 3) Chicken Parmesan was chewy. Yuck 4) Other food mediocre at best. Lemon vinegar être for dressing? Eeeew. DO NOT get delivery from this place. They can't get it right. From "please deliver at 6pm" for them to say "we thought you wanted us to put it in the oven at 6pm". WHAT?! to 2+ hours for a large thin crust pizza to get delivered. It's been multiple times too . The "manager" doesn't care either. It's a shame too because we like their pies. I wanted to share how Giordanos Mokena made a mistake, but took care of us to keep the customer happy. I pre-ordered a stuffed pizza & harvest salad the night before for a group of us, since my teaching job does not allow time to call during their am hours. The female night manager who took the order was very friendly and accommodating. The next day the food did not show up and I called thinking they were just running behind (snow, weather, etc.) They had explained their ticket showed as a later delivery and immediately apologized. The male day manager took full responsibility, rushed a new pizza over to us, (30 minutes later, our order was there) and compensated the entire pizza and salad. Though it was late, I commend the management for excellent customer service to correct the mistake. The food was delicious and worth the wait. Been eating here since it opened. It's the best pizza we've ever had. Hands down! Been to nearly every state. Including NY. I've had good pizza before. Hell, we live in Chicago! Nothing compares. Not even close. I will say that there gluten free CRUST is awful. Dominos hand makes their own, and is far better. Take a lesson from them, and make your own! Stop buying frozen GF crusts. You take for granted certain things in life when you live in IL... like the ease at obtaining chicago-style deep dish pizza... Now that I live in Albuquerque, i Have to stop here at least once every visit I am home at my folk's house in New Lenox. There is only one thing we get here and that would be deep dish pizza... we don't mess around with pasta or bread or salads..or even thin crust.... yuck... if i wanted those things I wouldn't be going here... Of all the chicago chains (uno, lou malnatis, ginos, nancys, etc..) giordanos has always been our favorite. We always have to get Spinach (or popeye as they say on the receipt) with either mushrooms/black olives or sausage. The artery clogging thick cheese and pizza weighing in at about 5 lbs are something you can't get too many places outside chicago and I now realize that. This location is a godsend to the SW suburbs so that we can get it to-go and eat at home instead of driving out 30-40 minutes which is what we did years ago before this opened. miss you giordano's and hopefully see you soon! read more

This is a great place for Italian food, It's a new building so it's spotless inside, I was alone but still sat at a table with seating for six. I got baked mostaccioli, with a small loaf of bread, and a cup of soup, for $8.95,plus drinks. I thought it was about the best Italian food I have had since mama passed away, The price was fair and the service was good, not outstanding but good. I don't give out many 5 star reviews but this place is as close as it gets I will be back. read more

I went to the lunch buffet. It was HORRIBLE. there was a broken heat lamp that more than 2 customers told the manager about and they continuously put the pizza under there.. The pizza, pasta, and bread was cold, stale, and gross. There was barely any pizza there and they did not replenish it. I asked numerous times if they were going to and they said yes, but it never happened. I was there from 1145 - 1230. There are a couple other pizza buffet places in that area and i highly recommend the others. This buffet was expensive and not worth it. This location brought the name Giordano's to shame. read more

I LOVE GIORDANOS PIZZA!!!! Sooooo good! This location is the one near my parents house south of Chicago. I've had it from multiple locations but mostly this one the last few years. The deep dish is the way to go, in fact im craving it right now. Its about 2 inchs thick stuffed with whatever veggies or meats you like. I love the veggie with pepperoni added. The crust is so scrumptious, better than any pizza crust i've ever had. Good luck eating more than two pieces, but leftovers are just as good. Sadly I live in Colorado so its kind of a rare treat for me, but I want those of you around Denver to know about this place!!! For those willing to spend the cash they do ship pizzas across the country but if you're headed to Chicago DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS PIZZA! Mmmmm. Delicious!! read more

We had a GREAT experience yesterday at this location! It was my son's 5th birthday and he wanted pizza. We stopped at this location for lunch but because of the "COVID" restrictions, put back in place this week, we were unable to sit inside and eat. The manager in charge was extremely friendly and offered us a to go pizza. While it wasn't what we planned, the pizza was perfect and we had a birthday picnic instead :) Thank you for accommodating even when I am sure these situations are more difficult for you and the business with changes in hours and dealing with frustrations and limited help. read more

We were so excited for our annual Valentine's pizza tradition but were so disappointed by the burnt state of our pizza. The crust was so crispy it crunched when you bit into it which is not something you'd expect from deep dish. We had no problems with our old Giordano's before we moved but this location it seems like a 50/50 bet if your pizza is going to turn out ok. Considered bringing it back but with the travel time and time to remake it, we would have been starving. read more

The thin crust is very good. The inside is clean and the staff are good. I ordered online delivery and recieved a message they would be here at 1804 hrs. I get if they are busy, so I call at 1840 hrs because the food had not arrived. The guy who answered the phone was apparently unaware the order was 30 minutes late and advised the driver was still out. Be very careful ordering delivery here because one of their options is to press 1 for questions about an existing order. Lou's, Uno's, Pizza mia, beggar's, Palermos at 95th 63rd frankfort tinley, and Chicago Faux dont have that option. Dont be surprised if your order is wildly late or not taken correctly. read more

Rodney is the absolute best! Giordano's pizza is the place to go in Chicago for authentic stuffed pizza. I read the other reviews. I'll agree that during Covid, they struggled. While the team was mediocre then at best, the location always stayed open. You could count on them to be there when you came and they never closed early. The "hit or miss" experience people refer to was a direct result of pandemic employees who didn't care. Everything was dependent on whether the boss was there or not to keep them in check. Now that is no longer an issue! The new crew is invested and takes pride in their work. Their weekend manager has raised expectations and there is a whole different vibe when you walk in the door. Rodney runs a tight ship and has bent over backward to make sure customers are happy. He always gives us "extras" and asks about our experience. He is sincere, hardworking, and strives to make this location great. Giordano's pizza is our city's best hands down. I love bringing out-of-town guests to visit and sending them frozen pizzas. We are so lucky to have this location in the Southwest burbs! Please make sure to support this local business. read more

This was the best customer service I have ever received. I was ordering for a business lunch and needed pricing and assistance to make the best appetizer choices to get the best options for the money I was allotted. I called LaDoris four times before we finalized the order. LaDoris was very willing to help and was patient and friendly the entire time. I enjoyed speaking with her. If you're looking for a good example of a poorly managed franchised restaurant, you've found it. Everything in a franchise is planned, down to the layout and decorations, so when one is failing, management is to blame. Deep dish takes 40 minutes to cook, that's a necessity, but what is unacceptable is after 50 minutes, the waitress comes out to tell us there was a mess up with the pizza and it will be another 20 minutes, as she puts down the other food we ordered. So, not only are we waiting longer because of a kitchen mess up, everyone is eating separately. Then, the assumed manager comes to the table to tell us she doesn't really know what happened with the pizza or where the pizza went, and she tells us that the pizza will be comped. Great, she made it right, that's appreciated. Never again does the manager come back to the table. Not to ask us how it turned out, not to make sure that we're happy, not even to ask how the meal was and apologize again. Meanwhile, other employees have their heads buried in their phones in front of customers, waitresses are disappearing, and the manager is hiding in the back OR going to every other table but ours. In a competitive industry, customer service and customer experience needs to be at the forefront, not an afterthought or an inconvenience. Overall, the food was as expected from Giordano's, but the management was inadequate and disappointing. read more

Horrible service. I was there Saturday night. When asked, the server gave us the wrong information on the ingredients in their house salad. 3 of us ordered it. 2 had an recharge for it, mine was included in the meal. I could not eat the salad due to the actual ingredients (not what the server told us was in the salad). The manager compensated my friends who were able to eat their salads, but since mine was included, no compensation was forthcoming. I did not expect a discount or a 'freebie', but it would have been nice to have been given the option of getting the Caesar salad or soup! I'd been to several other Giordano's in the past and enjoyed the food. None of us will be going back now. read more

Great pizza!! We were seated right away which was great. There were only a handful of people in the restaurant so we didn't expect service as bad as we had. First off, she had a cut on her knuckle that was bleeding a bit and no bandage on it. Gross!! The server came over right away and took our order. She brought out drinks and didn't come back to the table until she brought the pizza out. My son had soomething floating in his soda and we had to practically shout at the server to get her attention to get him a new one. She walked past us at least a dozen times, never stopped to ask if we wanted refills, never stopped just to say the pizza would be out shortly. Nothing, she walked past and basically ignored us. She brought the pizza and didn't come back until we were done and needed it wrapped up. She brought the carry out box, set down the check and walked away. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is based on the pizza. It was fantastic. Best pizza around! read more

This was my first time visiting the Mokena location and unfortunately, this will probably be my last time. I came in around 7pm and was dining in, but there was no host/ hostess at the front. I was standing there stupidly for a good 5 minutes. Someone from behind the pick- up counter eventually seated us. However, the waitress was very nice and gave us plenty of time to order... BUT this is where service went downhill- We were waiting for our pizza for a very long time and the waitress told us that they messed up our order. My friend also ordered an appetizer and I asked where it was, and our waitress said she forgot to write down the appetizer order. Once the pizza came out, it was cold. Ordered a large thin crust pizza (cheese & sausage)to be picked up. Order taker said about 25 mins or so. We got there and pizza was Boxed and handed to us within a few minutes. Box felt cold but we were in hurry. Got home and found cheese was hardened and very little sauce on pie. Tasted extremely dry like it had been cooked at lunchtime and sat until our pickup. This was around 530 on a Friday. Had not eaten at a Giordano's in awhile and won't be back anytime soon. Too many other choices for pizza out there. Greeters were nice. read more

Great deep dish pizza and salads. From an out of state visitor, definitely worth the stop.

I called ahead to pre-order a deep dish pizza and was told it takes 45-55min to prepare. We showed up 20min later early knowing we would have time for a salad and a beer while waiting. I ordered a salad after we arrived at the restaurant. It took 20min to get the salad and a total of 1hr 10min to get our pizza (from the timed I called). Service was poor - when your glass gets to empty, it shows service is not that attentive. Pizza was still pretty good but next time I will just order a take-out pizza. read more

Please clean your oven racks. Ordered a medium cheese pizza for 1 adult and 3 kids. Nearly 20% of the pizza had burnt black cheese at the bottom of the crust and was also way over cooked. So much for an easy meal, kids picked at their pieces and a lot went to waste. read more
