Meat and More Meat - Deep Dish
    Ian N.

Great large location near the Woodfield mall. Easy in and out parking. The Chicago deep dish is the best option here. Sauce isn't as sweet as some of the other pizzerias. We got the meat and more meat pizza. It's heavy. The waiter was pleasant and helpful with the service. The ambiance is great lots of Booths and table and chair options. You can also buy frozen pizza to go

Iconic Chicago Italian restaurant. Enjoyed tying the ranch salad, individual deep dish pizza and rigatoni bolognese carry out since we were staying near the area. Very friendly service, convenient ordering process & very tasty items!

Meat & More Deep Dish Pizza: I tried this one and it was delicious, loaded with meat and plenty of cheese. Super filling too; honestly, one slice was enough for me! Dense, hearty, and enjoyable, though it didn't reheat as well the next day. 8.5/10 Service: The staff was very friendly, and our order came out quickly. We did takeout this time, and everything went smoothly. 10/10

It's my first ever visit to Chicago and when in the Windy City; it just seems appropriate to have Chicago deep dish pizza. My first deep dish pizza experience took place via a visit to Giordano's. Giordano's is actually a chain that specializes in Chicago deep dished pizza. It was founded in Chicago way back in 1974. When we got here; we we were told it would take at least 45 minutes for a deep dish pizza. They make everything fresh to order and hence the wait. Good things come to those who wait however and so we ended up getting a salad to start off along with a pizza. For our salad order; we got the Giordano's House Salad. this came with spring greens, baby tomatoes, shaved fennel and shaved asiago cheese. The dressing was lemon vinaigrette. The salad was simple and light. It was a good starter that wasn't too heavy and gave us room for the star of the night; the deep dish pizza. For the deep dish pizza; we got The Special. This pizza has sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and onions. The pizzas come in small, medium and large size. We got the medium and it was eight large slices that was perfect for three people. Wow! My first deep dish pizza experience was amazing. I absolutely loved the thick, cheesy and buterry crust. It was packed with flavor! I normally am more of a fan of the savory toppings in a pizza versus the crust but the crust here was truly the highlight. If all deep dish pizzas are like this; I'm all in. Don't get me wrong; the toppings of sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and onions were quite excellent too but it was the crust that really won me over. I ate two slices and I was so full! One would've been plenty. I was really impressed with just how good and how fulfilling the pizza was here. I'm happy I was able to try my first ever deep dish pizza and happy that was it at Giordano's. Visiting here made for a great first night in Chicago!

We came here last night and the place was practically empty, and yet our service was terrible... first of all, she didn't let us know until after we placed our order that the pizza would take 45 minutes, and it was already 7pm. I'm sorry if this is a known thing about deep dish pizza but I've never experienced this before with other places. She also upcharged me for my dirty martini which we didn't see till the bill - she didn't ask me what liquor I wanted for it, so I assumed it would be bottom shelf, but she went ahead and chose a very high shelf one without even telling me. The pizza was honestly okay; a bit disappointing. Our server never came by to check on us. Twice we had to get up to find her to ask for napkins and to order another beer. And both times she was just sitting with coworkers gossiping. Not worth the $70 bill sadly.

We were staying in town and were too tired to go out so we ordered pizza from here because it was close and had good reviews. What a disappointment. After we ordered, the app said our pizzas would be delivered in 30-35 minutes, 70 minutes later our food arrived cold. Thankfully we had a microwave in our room so we were able to warm it up. The Margahrita pizza had a stunning lack of cheese and an unpleasant flavor. We also had an Italian sausage and mushroom pizza that was awful, very weird flavor that had people hoping they wouldn't end up with food poisoning. The only thing that was good was the mozzarella triangle and the marina sauce it came with. Very expensive ($72) for food you couldn't eat.

I have been going to Giordano's for 35 years in one location or another. This was the first time in Schaumburg. Clean, fast service, great ambiance, and great food. They are keeping up the tradition of a Chicago landmark brand.

Delivery service has gotten HORRIBLE. We order every 2-3 weeks for delivery. Last month arrived cold. Couple weeks cold. Tonight cold. I saw the delivery person go to house across the street with food in hand; NOT IN THERMAL FOOD BAG. It's single digits temperatures outside and the guys walking with food not protected from elements. Needless to say the food was cold. I wouldn't have such an issue except I'm being charged for delivery fee AND driver fee. We also tip the driver. Their service is getting worse and worse. I'd rather order from a cheap chain than have cold food.

This pose to be a chicken sausage with mushroom pizza from Giordano's ...Never again

Basically the pizza looked and tasted I've order from pizza from here plenty of times and never had this experience before. Not sure if it was a new cook or what But I won't be eating pizza from this location 930 N.Meacham Rd ,Schaumburg no time soon. Even though I spent $18 I didn't go back and complain because once I got home and opened the box looked at it I lost My craving for it.

Visited during a work trip to Chicago. Friendly service. Ordered Deep Dish pizza and wings. The Pizza was amazing and full of toppings. The wings were small, dry and seemed overcooked. Would recommend. I took one star off due to the wings. The Pizza is too notched!

Good spot in Schaumburg location. Yummy ingredient filled deep dish, got the vegetarian tavern and deep dish style pizzas. No lack of veggies here. Nice staff and great chopped salad. Comfy booth and table seatings and full bar. They have their own spin in deep dish with a doughy cheesy texture that lays in between the layer of the deep dish.

They have an outdoor area, inside dining and a larger area for large groups etc. When you walk in the first thing you see is what makes this restaurant so special, a large wood burning oven! I know others have commented on their pasta and octopus dishes, but let's be real, this is all about the pizza! We came here on a Tuesday and it was not crowded at all. A few people at the bar and about half the tables full with a few others waiting for pickup. We ordered a few drinks, while we looked over the menu and were amazed at all the different pizza choices; with sauce or without. We started with a misto salad and it was really nice with mixed greens, very fresh sweet tomatoes and some shaved parm with a light oil and vinegar dressing. It was also accompanied by some fresh bread. Great start to our meal. Now the tough decision, what kind of pie to order. After a lot of discussion and the fact that we didn't have a place to store extra pizza on our trip the next day we settled on a no sauce pizza, prosciutto rucola. As you can see by the pictures, there is a lot of prosciutto on this pie. So you would think it would be very salty, nope. The smoked and regular mozzarella really tone down the saltiness. Plus the peppery taste of the arugula really balances out this incredible pie. With six slices to a pie, for us this was a perfect amount of an entree as we were looking forward to the cannoli to finish off our dinner. While I didn't take a picture of the cannoli, it was very good as well. First off the portion size are very generous- one entree is large enough for 2 people for hard and in this day and age I truly commend the restaurant for doing this, it was noticed and def appreciated. The Caesar salad is truly such a classic salad, the oil dressing and grated cheese on top is perfectly balanced, it felt refreshing yet very savory as well. The rigatoni pasta was so so yummy. The orange sauce was very hearty. Last but not least the 4 cheese ravioli was W-O-W. I mean the consistency of the sauce just blew me away, and the pistachio pesto?! Genius. It was soo good I had to not lick the sauce off the plate (might still do for take out nights). Cant wait to come back and try more dishes! Service- Both times we made revelations on open table.
