Let's gooooo Gio's!!! Located in a tough little spot for restaurants it seems but a perfect addition to Northwest Santa Rosa !! I am such a pizza-by-the-slice lover and that devotion was made even greater by the fact they offer made to order! (during certain hours/days.) Good beers on tap. Family friendly menu. Service has been excellent both times we've gone. But it comes down to the food and we've been pleased with everything so far! Caesar salad - nicely dressed, good flavor on the dressing, brioche type croutons. Ravioli came in a delicious tomato sauce, and the raviolis themselves were tender and flavorful. The cheesy garlic breadsticks were nice and garlic-y. But the pizza slices have my heart. (Please add ricotta as an option to your menu for slices!) Come on Coffey Park, let's support this new restaurant!

I really hope this pizza gem can survive in this location. We ordered the combo XL it was really good. The cost seems high for pizza but comparatively to other competitors, it's right there and you get more pizza for the same price as other competitors. Fresh ingredients and love the wood fired taste of the crust. It tastes just as good air fryer the next day. I looked forward to visiting again to take advantage of their happy hour specials. Ordered online and love the option to pick your time for pick up. Ours was ready to go on time.

I've been waiting for this Gio's to open. I love the Bennett Valley restaurant, but it's across town, so I seldom get there. I ordered my pizza online and it was ready when I arrived. When I walked in, I glanced around, as I used to frequent this place when it was the Burger Vine. It still has some of the same look of the old place, but while that was good...this will be better for the area. I just ordered a basic pepperoni pizza this time. The pizza was outstanding, just like the other restaurant in BV. A lot of cheese, the crust was cooked to perfection and the pepperoni wasn't skimped on. I'm in trouble because I may be here often.

Excellent food accompanied by fast & friendly service. Pizza was ready to pick up when promised. Salad was generous, fresh and enough for two to share. Welcome addition to the neighborhood!

After several days in SR for family in the hospital, I found this gem at 9:30pm on a Sunday. The staff was kind and unbothered that I arrived 20 minutes before closing. Being unfamiliar, I ordered cheese ravioli with marinara, figuring it was a safe bet to protect my stomach. Boy was I pleasantly surprised by this tiny hole in the wall surrounded by dark businesses late on a Sunday at that! It came with "breadsticks" which I wasn't expecting, and I was surprised by the quantity and quality of the sauce when I opened the box. Lots of herbs and fresh sliced garlic adorned the tomato based sauce. Very flavorful and hit the spot after only having hotel breakfast this morning! I may have to come back tomorrow!

I hope Gio's is here to stay, it's a tough location. We were able to walk over for a slice (they do it fresh, by the slice)..and verygreatpriced beer, got an IPA (parliament) on tap, I belive they have a rotating choice. It was $3 for the beer before 4pm. Very friendly, service was great...lots of other options we are going to have to try.

We called in an order for pick up after receiving a flyer in the mail, so this was our first time trying it. I was quoted 20 to 25 for two pizzas, wings, and breadsticks. Everything was ready on time. Restaurant was very organized, very clean, friendly. Dough was perfectly cooked, wings were very moist and flavorful, the breadsticks were homemade with plenty of cheese on top- yum! Check them out....

From the outside, it's a pretty unassuming building. When we walked in, I got more of a diner vibe than an Italian restaurant. The décor is simple and straightforward without a lot of frills, but we were there for the food, not the décor. We were seated almost immediately, and our waitress was friendly and laid back. She also let us know that we had arrived just in time for happy hour, so naturally we had to order some drinks and appetizers. We tried both the red and white sangrias, which our waitress had made fresh that day. They were refreshing and hit the spot. To start, we ordered the calamari and shared a Caesar salad. We also enjoyed some of the house focaccia bread. For our entrées, I chose the Lamb Ragu while my wife went with the Pappardelle Bolognese. Everything arrived in a timely manner and came out hot and fresh. The calamari was crispy and well prepared. The focaccia was good, although I would have preferred it served warm. The Caesar salad was flavorful and the perfect size for sharing. The lamb in the Lamb Ragu was cooked perfectly, and the pasta had a great texture and chew. The Pappardelle Bolognese was hearty, meaty, and equally well executed. Portion sizes for both dishes were just right and satisfying without being overwhelming. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and had a pleasant dining experience. My only critique is that both pasta dishes could have used a little more seasoning, particularly salt, to make the flavors pop a bit more. Aside from that, Eddie's delivered a good Italian dinner with friendly service and good value.

Got the focaccia bread and for entrees I got bolognese and my wife got the pesto spaghetti with the GF rummo noodles. The bread was tasty and a big portion! My wife enjoyed her pesto spaghetti and I enjoyed my bolognese, however, the bolognese was very spicy. I didn't see any mention of chili flakes on the menu and I never send food back unless it's undercooked or the wrong meal. I ate it but boy it was spicy! A quick look at some other reviews showed me others have complained about the spicy bolognese. Bolognese is not normally spicy so it's definitely a bold choice of this restaurant to throw those in without warning. So, BE AWARE of that!! I'm still giving 5 stars because our server was super friendly, the restaurant was clean, comfy, and great location. And our food was tasty! For our mains, we had the Bolognese (one with burrata and one without) and the spaghetti with Sunday Red. They made it a point to mention several times that the Bolognese had nutmeg in the sauce (NOT cinnamon as someone else posted. That would be very different.) and made sure it was okay with us. When the Bolognese came out, we discovered that they had red pepper flakes on them. My son doesn't like spicy, so we had them make another one without (took only a few minutes and we brought the other one home). It was delicious and you can definitely taste the nutmeg. We're happy we have another order! Everything was amazing. The portions were plenty. We didn't even have room for dessert and I kind of wanted that olive oil cake! Can't wait to come back.

The place had all the feels of an authentic Italian deli-I could not wait to get my hands on one of these sandwiches. I was torn between going with my usual at any Italian deli which is just a classic Italian but for some reason,I've been on a tri-tip vibe for a while and I saw they had BBQ tri-tip on the menu so I just went with that-I added pepper jack to my sandwich.($17.94) It wasn't very busy when we ordered so the food didn't take long, maybe a 6 or 7 minute wait and our food was in front of us. This deli is interesting in that they do a lot of stuff in-house including homemade chips and we had some-so tasty-great addition to our meal. They also have a pretty extensive freezer section with homemade pastas and sauces that a customer can take home to prepare at a later date. So let's talk about the BBQ tri-tip sandwich. It's always wonderful when you run into a small business that just truly excels at their craft and I feel Canevari Deli is one of those places. They made this sandwich so well, excellent balance of meat, cheese, bread and condiments. It was a job well done. I'm having really good luck lately of finding amazing restaurants that are out of town and unfortunately Canevaris is one of those places-this is the type of place that if it was near me I would go there every week, the people who live in Santa Rosa are quite lucky to have such a great deli so close to them daily. In closing ,if you find yourself in the Santa Rosa area and you want to help support a true local business, stop by Canevaris and enjoy yourself one of their daily offerings-I'm sure it will be a wonderful experience.

Service is consistently quick and friendly--but definitely make reservations, because this place is always busy. We started with their delicious house bread served alongside an olive tapenade--such a great way to kick things off. We also ordered a bottle of the Tom Mackey Cellars 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon, which paired nicely with everything that followed. For appetizers, we shared the grilled polenta and calamari, both of which were excellent. For my main, I ordered the house special seafood risotto, which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. My husband had the Spaghetti Pescatore--loaded with wild prawns, clams, calamari, fresh scallops, and fish of the day in a light tomato, garlic, and olive oil sauce--and it was just as good as it sounds.
