I don't usually review much this might be my second one so I am not sure how to do things but I did want to leave my opinion. I think this pizza is really good but that's not the reason I'm giving 5 stars. I came out here for a job which I had to work long hours and things just kept going wrong however I stopped here to get dinner to bring back to my hotel and I received the kindest greetings I mean the young man that worked the counter greeted me with a smile and just gave off super good energy. I placed my order and went to the liquor store across the street and when I came back to pick it up I see the guy (I don't know his name but I assume he's an owner bc I've never seen anyone this happy and hardworking) working on my pizza putting in effort with a serious face and once he sees me through the window opening his face lights up and he smiles (which is very contagious). And it honestly made my day. I am currently here again and eating the delicious pizza right now with excellent customer service. If I get another job out here I will definitely come back! I also like how the place is small it feels very cozy to eat in! read more

Stopped in our way to Eureka on an anniversary trip. Glad we did! This is the kind of out-of-the-way place that everyone should know. We were just looking for a little bite to grab on the way and did we ever find it. The Pesto Combo sandwich is flat-out one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Great ingredients, perfectly toasted. We've recently rediscovered La Pizza. Been going there forever. Amazed how they've maintained quality throughout these tough times. Our favorites are the hot turkey and pastrami sandwiches! They are so tasty, lots of meat and never disappoint! The combination pizza is our go to choice. Every pizza place seems to have soggy centers, so we found we could ask for it well done and it's perfect for us! It's a tiny place often with only one person working so be prepared to wait a bit. Love this place! My boyfriend talked about this place as he is a born and raised native. Finally tried it 3 years ago when I first came to Healdsburg and it's definitely a once a week thing for us! Inconsistent. That's the best word to describe this place. Inconsistent. I've ordered pizza probably four or five times from la pizza in the last couple of months. SOMETIMES they get your order correct, sometimes they leave on what you asked them to take off like tomato. SOMETIMES it's delivered in the time they tell you over the phone and sometimes you have to call twice after an hour and fifteen minutes have passed to find out where your pizza is. SOMETIMES the phone is answered professionally and sometimes they answer with no greeting and you get to listen in to them giving employees instructions. (Happened today, final straw) The best is when the delivery driver asks if you want change. The order was forty one dollars and I gave you sixty. Yes I'd like change. THEY. JUST. DON'T. SEEM. TO. CARE. Too bad, when they are on the pizza is good, however I can't explain that to friends from out of town the other times. read more

Woman owner and family-run. A great, go to local pizza spot that pleases everyone in the fam, even (or especially) gluten free and the one person who doesn't eat pizza (WT...?) La Pizza gets 5 stats not for flair or gourmet anything, but for freshness (Lily cuts the veggies fresh for each salad) and just a good, solid choice for the fam either on weeknights when you don't want to cook, or weekends too. La Pizza in Healdsburg California- not so much We were looking to start an adventure with lunch in beautiful Healdsburg. We found this little hole in the wall pizza joint and decided to check it out. We were really pleased with the "wine country" themed decor. The dining area is teeny tiny, but had quality seating and a very nice vibe for such a small place. There was one person working at the counter. We ordered a large combo pizza. She said it would be ready in about ten minutes. Ten minutes? Wow, okay! Let's eat! So sure enough, ten minutes later we were motoring out with a to-go box with a hot pizza in it. We grabbed for the hot slices and anticipated that first cheesy toppings filled bite of.....wait a minute...Toppings filled? Well, not in this case! The toppings on the "combo" pizza were very sparse, and chopped up into teeny tiny pieces. The appearance of the pizza looked SOoO unfortunately like one of those shrink wrapped grocery store frozen pizzas! Seriously! Photos attached!! Cue back to the pizza on the road trip thing....we took our first bites. It's pizza, right? Can't go wrong, right? Well- the pizza was soooo doughy, and was simply lacking the pizza punch we all love about pizza! The underside was sticky and raw in the mouth. Doughy from the tip of the slice to the edge of the crust. Perhaps it was just bad luck, as there are some great reviews for La Pizza too! All in all, I have to say our La Pizza flavor experience really was about the same enjoyment level as having heated up a frozen pizza. And not one of the "premium" frozen ones either. Certainly not as good as "take and bake" or just about any other restaurant pizza we have tried. We literally ate one slice each, and went to a different pizza place. There was no way we were going to eat the rest of the large pizza. I am giving a two star rating in the hope they will improve. Hopefully La Pizza can make a couple of small adjustments and this will result in more consistent positive ratings. We will try it again sometime- maybe.. read more

I used to work here from 1998-2001 (while I was attending Healdsburg High). Original owner was one-eyed Rich. He was a good dude, but loved crack a little too much. On a "good night", he'd send one of us to score an ounce of coke for him. Then I'd show up for my evening shift the next day and surprisingly find the store still closed. Upon further investigation, Rich would almost always be in the back storage room smoking crack or crawling on the kitchen floor smoking mozzarella in his crack pipe. Usually the latter scenario when his stash ran low. Also, only had 1 eye, so gotta cut him a little bit of slack. All that said, the food was for sure high quality. All these little complainers on this string need to suck it up and do something that is actually productive and/or important. RIP the La Pizzaah OG "1-eyed Richie" read more

Second time I've gotten the wrong pizza. Lovely family but poorly managed. Due to a misunderstanding they made my pizza 3 times. After finally getting my pie I could smell the burn on it due to a rush cook. I would be sure to be very clear when ordering, and make sure you know the menu prior to ordering. read more

My how times have changed. I've ordered pizza from this place for years. I can't believe how everything has gone downhill now. Horrible customer service. Took over an hour to get my order, which wasn't even correct. I ordered a medium cheese and sausage with extra red sauce. What I got was a medium cheese pizza with no sausage and no extra sauce. I paid $20 bucks plus tip for dough and cheese. Seriously?!?! Called them back and they said the order was a medium cheese pizza. I said that was not what I ordered. BTW...I have a witness that was sitting next to me while I was on the phone with them to confirm that I ordered a cheese and sausage pizza with extra red sauce. They offered to replace the order but it was going to take just as long to get the second pizza as it took to get the first. So I was going to have to wait now over two hours to get my dinner. Well that's not going to happen. They didn't even offer to mail me a discount for a future order. For the record, I will never order from here again. What a shame since I am a local. read more
