Very disappointed with the Sicilian pie we ordered. It is obvious that it was day old pizza. The crust was dry and brittle. The sauce was barely available on the pie and the cheese just terrible. Small, but cute spot! Never been here before because we don't live in the area but they likely do more takeout based on small seating area. 4 of us ordered at the counter and then sat at a table. Our slices were done in 5 minutes and they were all very good! A couple Sicilian (HUGE slices) and several different types of round pizza. Service was friendly and efficient throughout and pizza very good, all of it! Super crispy crust which gets them to 3 stars just for that! Hot, good cheese and plum tomato sauce and I give them 4 stars. Could have gone 4.5 stars for great service but in NYC metro area I don't give 5 stars to pizza shops easily. Called in an order of 2 pies, 2 sodas & plates.. called back 10 minutes later explaining how I called the wrong pizza place & asked if since they have 45 minutes left til close, if they could use those pies for other customers and refund my money. As the girl on the phone asked if this can be done, the guy in the background was screaming "too bad it's a slow night and we were waiting for her to leave she's not getting her money back" -- absolutely DISGUSTING service, and the phone girl proceeded to laugh at me as I asked why this can't be done as I've worked at a pizzeria for years and have done this hundreds of times, and spent $55 on my order. Since I was pet sitting for my sis in law, my fiancé and I wanted to grab a quick bite for dinner. We went to Giovanni's pizza since we had gone there once before. They have a daily special of two regular slices of pizza and a drink or 1 specialty slice and a drink for $5. I wasn't in the mood for pizza this time around, so I order a plate of baked ziti. The baked ziti was delicious with a marinara sauce with a slight sweetness and lots of ricotta cheese and topped with melted mozzarella. The pasta was cooked just passed al dente. Since we were eating there, they served the baked ziti on a plate. We decided to eat in the pizza place. There are a few tables to eat your meal, but probably not suitable if you have more than 4 people in your group since it's a small place. Service was very good here. Ordered delivery from this pizza place. Ordered a cheese pie, garlic knots and a side of extra sauce. Delivery was prompt and pizza was warm. I tried the pizza and knots right away- however I was most impressed after a while, I popped those bad boys in the oven and boy was that a great idea. I was impressed with the knots and the sauce- and pizza crust !! Yummm the crust was a little crispier then when the pizza arrived just how I like it!! When pizza arrived pizza was delicious, but the crust was just a little more fluffy & doughy than I like. The only reason why I wouldn't give the pizza 5 stars- is the sauce. There wasn't enough sauce on the pizza. I did however add the sauce from the extra side for the knots and I was satisfied. I will absolutely be trying more slices from this location :) Yum. Ive always dealt with Giovannis this last order was suppose to b lasagna well no height as lasagna should b 2 sheets very very very little meat globs and globs of mozzarella on top didn't loom or taste like lasagna soooo disappointed . We were struggling with pizza places in the area, (one had good food, bad pizza. One had Great Sicilian but bad specialty pies and were expensive. The guy across the street from here was arrested once for selling OxyContin). Then Giovanni answered our prayers. His pizzas are Phenomenal! Crispy crust, terrific sauce and great specialty slices - especially the chicken bacon ranch!!! We even tried catering for a party and our mind was blown! We ordered a balsamic blaze chicken dish as a lightweight meal that was fantastic. Broccoli rabe and sausage was delicious too. I would never order from this place again. I just ordered it a baked ziti. Bake ziti is usually 11:50 in any other place these people charge me $15!! As we all know baked ziti comes with bread and salad. It was no salad, just a little piece of bread and no Fork. read more

I would like to rate this place higher because the specialty slices are amazing, however, I really hate walking in here. The place was just redone and it's even smaller than it used to be. The owner's family is ALWAYS sitting at one of only two tables. They are old and loud and they take the time and attention of the staff away from paying customers. Speaking of the staff, they are not very nice. They always have an attitude. The owner himself is also rude and treats his staff like crap. He spends all his time speaking in Italian to his family and yelling at his employees. The food is good but I'm not sure it's worth the hassle. Their pizza is great, best in the area by far. The crust is firm and the cheese to sauce ratio is definitely 2:1. Their prices are kind of high though. My boyfriend and I got a small pizza (half pepperoni) a house salad, 2-liter bottle of Pepsi and zeppolis (6 for $3 which is a pretty good deal since they're nice and big) but the total was over $30. HOW EXPENSIVE WAS THAT SALAD?! I'll keep going back b/c their food is worth it, it just means we only get pizza once a month :( read more

The crust was a problem for me. It was tough. Made my jaw hurt soon after chewing. Hard tough crust. I prefer my dough softer. The taste was okay like I said. If you're looking for really good delicious pizza, I wouldn't recommend his place. Best part was the price. $15 for a large pie. My go to pizza spot. They serve a variety of specialty pizza. The Spicy Hawaiian Chicken is my favorite. Inside is renovated and very nice area. There is outdoor seating. They are closed on Mondays. There are a few pizza spots to choose on that block, your best bet is to eat here. read more
