Since i've been in paris i haven't had 1 bad meal and have always had the best costumer server. However this place has fully ruined that amazing streak. We arrive and waited 30 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us then proceeded to complete forget what we ordered. We asked for red wine and received white instead!! We got the tuna, yellowtail and the filet. The tuna had zero taste and felt abnormally chewy, as if it was old. The filet was the worst part... we asked for medium and we received a raw steak. Completely red once we cut through and disgustingly cold. The vibes of this place is uncomfortable and only popular because of the view. i want to say that it has the best view of the Eiffel Tower but i promise you, go to Hotel Brach Paris and go to the rooftop. So far, it has the best food, drinks, vibes, and view of the tower. I would 100% not recommend this place. Save yourself the money and disappointment!!! read more

Terrible customer service: do not go. I visited Giraf on 8/23 and was charged twice for my meal, totalling almost $800. The first charge was the full bill, the second charge was after the server mentioned we could add gratuity, which we were happy to do when he said he would reverse the first charge and then charge us for the bill and gratuity. After trying to dispute this with my credit card company, calling the restaurant over 20 times, sending emails, messaging them on instagram, they fought my credit card company, are refusing to issue a refund for one of the charges and have not returned any of my messages or calls. This quality of customer service is absolutely unacceptable. read more

The best area to dine in is the first level, La Suite is a joke, the service is terrible, super slow, and all the terrace tables are crammed with fake ivy blocking the terrace views on purpose. Don't waste your time and money trying La Suite area. read more

The staff was very nice and accommodating. The hotel got the day of reservation confused but they still took us for our lunch time anyway. The food was amazing, we had the yellow tail sashimi, lobster and artichoke salads with the truffle pasta to finish. Everything was great. Girafe is outstanding ! The food is great, it's lively, the view from the patio is stunning and the decor is TRES CHIC !! I came here for the view to be honest, but the food was absolutely delicious ! It's a bit expensive but you get what you pay for and it's totally worth it! I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Paris. This is definitely the place you want to dine at to get the dreamy view of the Eiffel Tower. Does "takes my breath away" count as an extra star??? My chi chi la la friends in California posted on Instagram that they were here in the summer. I, wanting to be fabulous, too, looked it up immediately. The only thing I could find was an article from Vogue magazine saying that it was Paris' new hot spot. They did not lie. I'm in Paris to celebrate a big birthday and my husband took me here last night for dinner. We sat outside on the terrace facing the Eiffel Tower. If you have the opportunity to sit outside, TAKE IT! I would have been bummed not to be out there. They have two seatings, 7PM and 9PM. We chose the earlier of the two and it was perfect. I'm a vegetarian and although this is a seafood restaurant, I had plenty to choose from. My Greek salad was unbelieveable. Oh, yes, there wasn't a lettuce leaf to be found. Just feta, cucumber, baby tomatoes, fennel, olives, grapefruit, and avocado. It was HEAVEN. I also had some other vegetables and pomme frite. My husband had the Sole Meuniere and proclaimed it to be the best he's had. Desert was inventive and delish! Come here. Do it. Sit outside. They have outdoor heaters and blankets but bring a coat, too. read more

terrible service. got seated at the rooftop, asked for tap water and they gave us bottled. tried ordering an appetizer and entree for me and my friend to share because we don't eat a lot and when we placed our order the waiter gave us a weird look and left. 1 minute later he said he "talked to his manager" and his "manager" said we had to order one appetizer and entree each. such bs that he obviously made up bc he wanted to get paid more. made no sense for us because we would never be able to finish that. fed up with his attitude at this point so we tried leaving when he stopped us and said we had to pay for the water that we did not even touch let alone ask for. he was seriously so rude. worst experience. read more

When making reservation - be VERY SPECIFIC to where you want to : sit in the main room, outdoor area with tower view - NOT AT THE BAR ! We were very disappointed at first since I did make reservations in advance and in French , not in English !!!! And we're were seat at the bar . Specially my 12 year old daughter( go figure)! The hostess then saw how actually sad/ turned off we were and she recommended we would go to the restaurant at the roof which turns out to be really nice and the service impeccable. I had such high hopes of this restaurant after reading everyone else's reviews, and viewing the exceptional photos. I had booked a reservation in advance of travelling and had specified in the booking that I wished to book a table either outdoors on the terrace with a view of the Eiffel Tower or indoors with the same view. When I arrived at the venue, it was difficult to find, as it's a part of Le Cite D'Architecture, with no markings of its own. I asked nearby residents, vendors and even visitors, and they had no idea of this restaurant. When I finally found the place, the museum/site had been closed down for the day and I had to wait until the restaurant opened at 7pm, after having to go through several layers of security (typical of Paris). Although I had made specific requests upon booking, I was given a table at the bar and told that the entire restaurant was booked for the night and they could not accommodate a table of one otherwise. I will mention that I was the ONLY patron in the restaurant at the time of opening at 7pm, and the other patrons did not start arriving until I was leaving after my meal. They do have several staff members at the door to initially greet you, but thereafter, I felt like I was ignored for the night. I suppose the only benefit from me sitting at the bar was that I was able to witness my own meal prepared for me, and the bar staff were quite hospitable. They brought out a dish of olives prior to my meal (although tried to remove it before I even had the chance of trying them). I ordered the seafood tasting platter comprised of oysters, cockles, shrimps, crayfish and whelks, which were all quite fresh and delicious. I wish there were accompanying sauces though, as the seafood was unseasoned. I also had the tuna tataki with a spicy sauce, which was a lovely dish, accompanied by an 'avocado-sucrine' or avocado smash with cucumbers and onions. It was quite delicious overall. For my beverage option, I chose a local Rose which was quite nice; however, despite that I first requested no water was needed, followed by several attempts by wait staff to fill my water, I finally agreed to accepting the beverage, thereafter I was charged a hefty pricetag of 10 euros for a bottle of basic Evian. Restaurants really need to stop doing this, please. I was able to take a few photos within the restaurant of the view of the Eiffel Tower, but I was disappointed that we were not notified in advance that the terrace was not open, and furthermore, that dining requests were not considered, particularly since there were no other patrons in the restaurant.The venue and restaurant itself is beautiful, although I was not able to enjoy it, given the seat at the bar. During my trip I had far better meals at establishments with less 'notoriety' than this venue. I don't think the cost of the meal was justified overall based on my experience. read more

First, she lied and said they were full actually they were half full. Then she said the kitchen was closed, but not for the people in front of us. We ate here on our last night in Paris. The waiter was extraordinarily friendly and humorous. The view was remarkable with the Eiffel Tower right over our shoulder. We shared a whole fish entree of Sweet Bream Fish and it with the wonderful mustard sauce was the best fish else gave ever enjoyed. Squid Appetizer and delicious chocolate Carmel tart and basket of cream puffs with chocolate sauce left us very satisfied. Our waiter was incredible, friendly humorous and very helpful. The wine suggested by the sommelier was the best we drank while in France. So glad we were lucky enough to get a reservation. read more

I booked a reservation here(which I recommend, they turned away people who didn't) and I had such a great experience. I was seated immediately after telling them my name for the reservation & a waiter came over very soon after for my drink order. I had a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower to my right and was covered by an umbrella for shade thank goodness! I already knew what I wanted which was the tenderloin with the black pepper sauce which made the entire meal!! The French fries it came with were fantastic. I only got a soda with my meal which was 7€(over priced if you ask me) but given the location of where I was and quality of the food I really didn't mind! I believe the quality & quantities of my meal justified the price I paid. I'm not much a steak person so enjoying this meal was something I had to share! read more

They responded saying we take only bookings 2 week before and just reply back then. We were not aware and came here in November hoping to sit outside for lunch to enjoy the view of the Eiffel Tower, we were left disappointed. There aren't many seats inside that give you a nice view of the Eiffel Tower. We still ate here for lunch and we were left disappointed again. We got the steak and the lobster pasta. The dishes are pretty pricey for the amount of food you get and it's not too tasty. The servers also did not check on us often. Very bad impression. Quite rude staff. It seemed like they wanted us to give up and walk away. Not sure why that would be as it would be asinine to purposefully lose customers. We stood there for well over 10 minutes waiting to make a reservation for two or for one, depending on the dates available. We exchanged stares with the hostess for several minutes as she said she couldn't make a reservation for us without a woman who an older hostess. The older hostess was laughing on her cell phone for 10 minutes and an older waiter or manager, not sure which, repeatedly came over to discuss our reservation requests with the young hostess while never acknowledging us. Traveled the world. Have eaten at some of the best Michelin restaurants and have never ever been treated so rudely. Planned a birthday luncheon and secured my reservation weeks ago. Confirmed with credit card. The day before the luncheon I get an email that my reservation has been canceled. No explanation just canceled. I immediately call to find out there must be a mistake. They have canceled my reservation because they are not using the patio. I don't have a patio reservation but they canceled anyway. I explained we are visiting from CA and it's a special occasion. Friends made a resy for 4 last night at 7 PM on the rooftop. We had high expectations since the restaurant has good review, was recommended by our concierge and was purported to have amazing views. We waited to enter the restaurant with about 50 people and were pointed to a staircase for the rooftop. We received no other directions or assistance. Little did we know that we were walking up 11 flights of stairs without any signs and a half lighted staircase. Our friends are in their 80s! We made it to the top where we met another hostess who informed us that the museum hadn't fixed either of the two elevator and it was not the restaurant's fault. We were escorted to a table on the side with no view at all. To be honest 3 total tables have a good view. The rest of the rooftop is Out of Luck. We asked to be moved and we're told there were no other tables available although we were the fourth group to get up to the rooftop. We promptly left .... having climbed up and down ELEVEN flights of stairs! Before leaving we heard people complaining about dirty silverware. We would recommend avoiding this restaurant!!! read more

If it was not for the beautiful view I would give this a negative star. Where do I begin. My spouse and I care here to celebrate her birthday. This was one of the few places she was excited to take part of. Upon being seated we were told the heater was broken in our section, not a big deal, we understand things happen. From there the waiter came and was almost in a rush. Took 20 minutes to bring our drinks out and to get bread to the table took an additional 10 minutes. From there he notified us that the lobster linguine, which is their most popular item, was finished. How is this such a exclusive restaurant but your most popular dish is finished. At that time We should have left but decided to stay and try something else. We ordered the half seafood platter, I don't know about most of you but nothing bothers me more than uncleaned shrimp. We spend the majority of time removing shit from the shrimp. For $115 I would expect everything to be on point but epic failure. The raviolis langoustine was completely cold in the inside. The fries were half cooked half cold. Needless to say it was a very disappointing visit. The view is one of the best that you will get of the Eiffel Tower anywhere, but for dining purposes it is definitely a big no. read more

Do not go here. For one month we tried getting reservations over the phone and Each week they told us to call back the next week. One week before we were to arrive, we were finally able to get a reservation but we're told the only time available was 10 PM. The day of, we arrived on time I was told that our reservation was actually 10:30 PM. We waited for over 30 minutes while we so people walk in and get seated immediately. It rained that day so the terrace was closed and we had a sit inside. This was understandable given the weather, but it took them 30 minutes to take her drink orders we we're ignored trying to order a dinner we asked for the bill four times and they never came wasn't until 1 AM when we left. As a non-seafood eater there was only one option on the menu for me to eat for dinner which was a $45 steak dinner. My recommendation for anybody looking to come here, not. We were in France for a week, and this was by far one of our best meals, for multiple reasons. The view from the terrace is obviously spectacular, and the seating is very comfortable with plenty of space between you and the other parties. The food was beyond delicious---we started with the No. 5 oysters, which were some of the tastiest we'd had. For our mains I had the cod, and it was probably the most perfectly roasted filets of fish I've had, tender and delicate but not mushy at all. My partner went with the famous lobster linguini, and the look on her face after the first bite said it all. Perfectly cooked, sauced, flavored---it had it all. Our meal was rounded out superbly by a simple dessert of small vanilla cream puffs with a chocolate dipping sauce, and they certainly maintained the same level of quality we'd come to expect by the food at this point. What truly set this experience apart though was the service. Our server, Martin, was incredibly kind and helpful. He took the time to answer any questions we had and thoughtfully gave his best recommendations (we never would've ordered cream puffs without his guidance, so thank goodness he was there). He was clearly educated in wine as well, educating us on subtle differences in flavors, years, and regions. He really was an absolute superstar. All in all, if you're able to get a reservation here, absolutely go for it---and I hope that you have the privilege of having Martin as your server. read more

Holy. Sh*t. Unbelievable dinner in Paris. Food was good and well prepared. The staff was kind despite an insane wait for reservations trying to be seated. But the absolute best part? The scenery. Unfortunately we were here during a rain storm, so it was dumping sheets onto the Trocadero (so no patio for us) - but the inside was just as beautiful. Designed like you would imagine a chic French restaurant - an ode to the 30's with brass fixtures and vibrant marble. The one thing I would add is the possibility to reserve online. Luckily our concierge at our hotel was able to book for us, but as it's quite an international hotspot I would suggest an online portal would be easier for people to access. But then again, maybe they've made this choice on purpose for that very reason..... ;) read more

Our server tonight was Jonathan, very attentive and always checking on us. Being that we are for the US, most of the places we've dinned at gave us attitude and no type of customer service.
