Maybe it was all the liquor I drank prior, but this was one of the better slices I've had in Orlando and probably the closest to a traditional NY slice as you're going to get here. I've tried 10+ pizza places in and around Orlando and all of them have failed in replicating what I would consider a properly executed slice (not that some weren't pretty good otherwise). My wife had pizza at this place after a night on the town and loved it. We came to town a few weeks later and ordered the same margarita pizza. It was off the hook good. We tried this place after a suggestion from a friend. My husband and I are always looking for good pizza. Actually friends had suggested "Gino's" when we first moved here, but it said they were closed. We had no idea this was the same place as we had passed this location many times on our nights out . Anyway I was a little apprehensive after reading bad reviews about the service. Our normal pizza spot is super friendly and have great pizza but we decided to give it a go. When we got there, the guy taking our order was really nice. Being new, we didn't know exactly what we wanted. He was patient and didn't seem rushed even though there were people behind us. I ordered a slice of meat lovers pizza. My son ordered a meat lovers calzone and my husband got a slice of the Philly cheesesteak pizza. We were all shocked at how good everything was. Manager-Shad rock- Worst customer service I've ever have! I've been coming here for years and he told he only had 4 lasagna slices left.. so I took what he had left.. I paid for my order and he delivers 2 lasagna and 2 buffalo left for us and pointed in my face to tell me that I'm DELUSIONAL AND I DONT KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!! I am an educated person and have my masters degree. I have plenty of years of customer service and I know how to handle irate customer service. To point a finger in my face and tell me that I am delusional knowing my friends knowing what I ordered since we are all together. He has no customer service skills/management skills at all. To call a customer delusional period; is not how u handle any tips of customer service experience. I am not drunk, nore delusional. Service with a little bit of attitude, late night crowds & lots of grease, but the pizza is yummy and that's what matters, right? Pizza taste good. Incoherent on pricing or what products they actually serve. If they run their business like they do their interviewing process, I would suggest staying away. When travelling 1300+ mile for a list minute interview time slot, you'd expect to receive the callback notification on the status of your application as promised. Also, when you use a management company to do the interviews, make sure they tell the candidates that its more like a meet and greet (since they can't do the actual hiring for managers), so the candidates don't have to waste $600+ on a short noticed interview. read more

MENU: 4 stars. Gitto's Pizza was a welcome experience. I was looking for a pizza place and Gitto's was the best-reviewed on Orange Ave. It lived up to its lofty expectations. The pizza was superb: bursting with flavor and the right amount of crispness that I love in a pie. Their slices are enormous for $4 and I was full after just one. They offer a garlic knot with each slice, which was also very delicious. I also sampled the mild wings, and I didn't think they were anything to write home about. My wife also didn't like the gluten-free pizza, calling it bland, uninspiring, and tasteless. MOOD: 5 stars. I loved the atmosphere. It truly made me feel like I was in Brooklyn at a pizza shop. The ordering is done downstairs and then there is pretty cool seating upstairs replete with a New York theme. I'd never seen such a hole in the wall place that transformed into an actual restaurant in Orlando, so I was fairly impressed. The one strange thing is that the restroom is located in the kitchen. You have to pass directly through where the pizza is being made to access the bathroom. It's a little odd but if there are no health code violations being broken, it's A-okay with me. LOCATION: 5 stars. It's on Orange Ave between Church and Pine streets, so it's absolutely in an accessible location easy to see and spot. We parked in a nearby parking lot on Church Street and it cost us $1 for an hour. I didn't mind the short walk. I love being in and around downtown, so just about any restaurant located there is in prime real estate in my opinion. STAFF: 5 stars. The staff was very kind. They exhibited patience when taking our orders, they made friendly jokes, they gave us a bevy of options when we were unsure of what to get, and did all with smiles on their faces. One of my best "fast food" pizza places you'll ever see. While I don't think that Gitto's Pizza is the best pizza I've had in Orlando (that honor goes to Brick & Fire), I seem to end up at Gitto's all of the time. Located close to the intersection of Orange and Church, Gitto's Pizza is a small hole-in-the-wall pizza place that presents a fun (and tasty) pizza experience day or night. I typically go to Gitto's either for a late night snack or to grab a quick lunch. Regardless of when I seem to go, Gitto's always has a line. Gitto's is set up where 2/3 of the venue is the employee/cooking area while the remaining part is where people wait in line, pick out their pizza, and wait to receive their order. They also have a sitting area upstairs, but I have never actually been up there. The entire area isn't as clean or clean-cut as other pizza areas, but that grime gives it that great New York pizza feeling. Once you get to the front of the line, the cashier will ask if you want a slice or a full pizza. Gitto's has a wide range of pre-made pizzas for ordering slices. I usually get 1 or 2 Hawaiian slices (which usually comes to around $5). After placing my order, an employee grabs your slice, puts a delicious piece of garlic bread with it, and throws it in the oven to heat it up for about 5 minutes. Once it is finished, they bag it up and give it to you. While the pizza isn't on the level of the Brick & Fires of the world, the pieces are indeed gigantic, so they make for a great small lunch or a great late-night snack. Overall, Gitto's Pizza is a great downtown pizza place. While it isn't what I describe as a "foodie" pizza joint, it makes for a tasty treat at a fair price. read more

Essentially, we wandered into this place and got to point at the type of pizza we wanted in the display case. We wanted the pizza that also had french fries and bacon on it. Pizza topped with french fries, people. What else would you even order? It turned out to just be okay, but I still enjoyed it. If it had been hotter I might have given this place a five star review. They have a dining room on the 2nd level that is modern and if you get the tables close to the front you can look down and watch them make pizza from above. My son loves watching them make the pizza. I dropped over $30 on a delivery order for a small 15 inch specialty pizza and a 2 liter. It wasn't the fastest delivery but it's Orlando. I open the box and find garlic knots imbedded in the pie and the see a slice and a half completely missing toppings.
