I got the rigatoni with tomato sauce with meat. It was okay. The minestrone soup had no beans,pasta or tomato base. The soup had lot of pepper, celery & onion with broth base. I'm a long time customer. I was in there this evening for my weekly pizza. There was a group of 3 adult males in the bar speaking louder than I've ever heard in the lounge. They appeared to be arguing over social justice issues with a fair amount of profanity. I asked the long-time server why they were being allowed to act like this and stated that I was going to leave if this continued. He stated that they had been in there for awhile and that my drink was free. Apparently their behavior is welcome and my expectations are not. I'm going to miss your food. Good luck! read more

I have ordered pizza from this establishment for about 6 years and have seen the quality declined. My roommate and I decided to give it a break for 5 months and ordered today--a small combo to go. It still tasted like cardboard and the quality had not improved as the price for the SMALL pizza is now $34.75. OH MY GOD seriously!!?????? I rather go across the way and get a Papa Murphys or give my money to another pizzeria. I've had other pizzas around Portland and Guissepes pizza does not deserve a 8-9 dollar hike. It hasn't even been a year and Guissepes thinks its deserving of supremely hiking up their pizza prices for really a piece of cardboard delight. This is an old favorite. Last night, we ordered the mushroom stuffed ravioli which came with garlic bread, salad and a charcuterie starter that had salami, pepperoni, mozzarella and pepperoncinos. Also ordered the rigatoni with meat sauce, a side of meatballs and one of Italian sausage. And some garlic cheese bread. The ravioli and the rigatoni were outstanding and the Italian sausage as well. The sausage was nicely spicy and juicy. I preferred the plain garlic bread over the garlic cheese bread. The meatballs were overly dense, but flavorful. The serving size is large enough for a couple of meals and I'm a big eater. I made a sandwich from the charcuterie and garlic bread for lunch and it was delicious. Highly recommended. read more

Terrible service. Told us it would be 20 to 30 minutes to be seated. It was closer to 40 and then when we were finally seated, had a server tell us she would be by with water. She never came back. Waited about 15 minutes at our table with no service and finally just left. The lady on our way out said, "Oh, we were just about to get to you," no apology or anything. Huge disappointment. I was at this restaurant a few times over the years and the owners used to take pride in this customer service. Not sure what happened, but I don't plan to come back. We've been going to Giuseppe's for over 20 years. Food was decent and fairly priced. Their meatball and Italian beef sandwiches were a good deal and tasty. We went into the lounge last night after not being there for a while. We expected prices to have gone up due to inflation, but were totally amazed by Giuseppe's. Their sandwiches doubled in price. Other food items popped up $5-6. We get that food prices have gone up, but this is ridiculous. We'll go in for happy hour, but paying their regular prices for mediocre Italian, nah. read more

This review is specifically for the pizza. So the pizza was bad...1-2 stars. The crust was not cooked through and a bit doughy, the cheese was so-so, the "cooked" onions were not very cooked and the sauce, what little they had on it, was mostly tasteless, but definitely pumped with garlic. I service was good. Ordering was easy. We did take out and ate in the parking lot, which was nice as well. The service bumped up the rating to the 3 range. I used Doordash for delivery which was outstanding Allison was great! My disappointment was in the food itself. I've included some pictures which will have explanations. First of all the delivery was great and quicker than I expected the food tasted ok, a bit salty but please refer to the pictures that I sent from the restaurant itself. Was a little disappointed in the soup? Looks like broth with celery and some other vegetables don't even know what kind of soup it was. I paid an extra $ 4.25 for two slices of cheese garlic bread, (again,see pic) 1/4 slice? Overall oh, I was happy to pay the $6.99 delivery fee from where it was coming from. But to pay the total price of $40 plus for this meal for one person was not worth it. Maybe if I would have dined in it would have been different. But I don't blame the doordash delivery service at all they were on time and quick but the food itself was tasty but certainly not worth it. Food is good but service is absolutely terrible feels like waitress was racist was there first with 3 people then two large parties walk in after us with 6 or more each we ordered our food before they even walked in they happen to get the same exact order and they received their order first and normally after you order a dinner with some of them you gotta get a entrée with pepperoni, salami, cheese, and peppers. We did not receive that until after axing about it three times with the other parties getting them also before us didn't even ask about it I do not recommend dining in at all if you're looking for good service take your money, elsewhere read more

Been here once in person and the service was great and the food was good and plentiful. Arrived home tonight and decided to order through a delivery service. Order was delivered with half the amount of garlic bread, olives when I gave special instructions to leave them off (even added a please), soggy pizza bottom, the wrong soda, and no grated Parmesan cheese. Super disappointing. I really hope this was an anomaly. I went on their website in hopes to email all this but couldn't find an email address. Maybe I have been spoiled by REAL Italian food, this was awful! I had the chicken picata, anti-pasto, and soup, all fell short of being Italian. The chicken was overcooked and instead of being cooked in a lemon butter sauce, it was cooked in the brine of the capers with an overwhelming amount of paprika. The aniti-pasto was not prepared well, sticks of mozzerella with slabs of pepperoni and salami dressed with banana peppers and oil, hmm, not good. Soup, if that's what you'd call it, lacked flavor, and what was identifiable as celery was mushy. I will stick to cooking chicken picata myself, and continue my quest for good eats in and around Portland. Note to self... Never order or go here again. read more

Been coming here for years, through the good and bad (Covid times and such) Drove all the way from Clackamas out here to have dinner. Our server wasn't attentive at all. Literally took our order, gave us our food and bill to pay. Not once did she check in on us if we needed anything or refills. I had to waver her down to ask for a box to go along with refills because she didn't wasn't attentive at all to realize we needed napkins or a beverage refill. Food was good as usual, but the servers could be trained a bit better. People tip based on overall service and experience. Hurt me to not tip the server but based on (lack) of performance I don't feel so bad. It's like we were never there to her. What a shame when the food has always been great and the service has been great in the past. With new hires, the lack of attentiveness, alertness is really disappointing. read more

I had heard good things and was so excited to have Lasagna. Food was ready right on time and it went down from there. I got home to see the grease from my dish had poured out and now has stained my seat in my truck. My wife's rigatoni was good but it had crushed my container and melted through the plastic lid....that's kinda gross since it was pushed into my Lasagna Oh wait Lasagna has ricotta and spinach in it. Mine didn't it had meat that was just chunks of meat ball. I guess my dinner consisted of salad and garlic bread. Amazing pizza. Large portions. Ok service. We went as a large group after volunteering nearby @ SnowCap so I expected service to not be great. The pizza though was phenomenal. It reminds me of this place back home that we used to get as a kid. Quality toppings and a load of them. The chicken they put on the pizza is breaded chicken and oh so good. Also if you get the garlic bread, get the white cream sauce for dipping. A must. You can also make your own pizza which I liked. We did half combo and half make your own. So good.
