I had an awful experience at Giuseppe's and I will never give them my business again. My friend has an extreme medical condition where she needs to use the bathroom immediately so she had to run into the nearest place (which was Giuseppe's) to use the bathroom. A woman who works at Giuseppe's instantly runs over to us, shouting and demanding that we buy a soda from her. We explained ourselves and said "No, our friend has a medical condition and it was an emergency and it was late at night so there was no where else to go." The woman was so angered at our response that she yelled at us in an inappropriate manner and continued to demand that we buy a soda from her. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in my life. That woman held up a broom in her hand as she hostilely ordered at us to get out immediately. She banged on the door of the bathroom (that my friend with the medical condition was in) and screamed at her to get out. My friend hardly had time to pull up her pants before she had to run out. There was absolutely nothing that we did to warrant that despicable behavior. I believe that this story of ignorant behavior towards someone who has a medical condition needs to be seen by the public. read more

The woman behind the counter wasn't the friendliest at all. The pizza is mediocre at best. The slices looked like they had been sitting for a while. The Nonna was the better of the 2 I had. My girlfriend had a gluten free white pie with spinach and artichokes which was tasty. The freshly made pizza was definitely better than the slices. Next time I'm in Lambertville I'm going to try something else. read more

Charming and delightful! The staff was sweet and attentive, and the salads were outstanding. I'm a fussy vegetarian, so Italian restaurants can be tricky for me, but Giuseppe's had a marvelous selection. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the service was terrific. Been going to Giuseppe's for over 10 years, so it is about time for a review. And I'm leaving a positive one. If basic pizza and Italian sandwich entrees at fair prices are your thing, you'll be happy. I suggest the Nonna pizza, which is a lot less crust and has a great flavor. Come on a Fri/Sat night and bring a bottle of wine, sit in the "dining room" and order a special entrée. You'll be happy! The chef puts some very well prepared specials together. They clearly don't care or try to change, despite the preponderance of online reviews pointing this out. Luckily for them they are well situated in a tourist town. A large busy restaurant with a varied menu.Grew up in Little Italy (Belmont so we had good pizza...comparable pizza, tangy with lots of cheese. Nice option to eat outdoors in a big "gazebo"...family size portions. Food is a local favorite. Unfortunately, the two steaks we had ordered were a disappointment though, swimming in oil and fatty. Hi, I would like three mediocre slices of pizza please and oh, can you also greet me and serve me with an attitude? I especially would like a side order of scowl-face, and if you wouldn't mind, can you gossip or speak negatively about other customers to your colleague when you don't think others can hear you? You would think that if you have an establishment in a town that receives a ton of weekend traffic, and has lots of competition, that you would go above and beyond to ensure your diners have a great experience and come back. Alternative, I guess if you are losing out on a lot of business, have limited repeat customers and probably are deep in the red, that your emotions might get the best of you, and you treat you customers sub-par (this is the only explanation that I can think of). Having read the other Yelp reviews prior, I went in putting them aside. I mean, we all have bad days right? Clearly, this isn't a bad day - maybe it's a bad year, or a bad decade, as I also fell victim to "we don't give an F about you" feeling that you will most likely also receive when ordering. The only pro's I can see are as follows: ample seating, as most people are dining at alternative locations. Kid friendly, (which I have to say, not a lot of places are in downtown), which also then might be a con for you. Pricing is reasonable, then again, we are talking pizza, so if it weren't priced to sell, then you might as well put the "For Rent" sign in the window. read more

Totally disgusted: ordered a pizza to go - extra cheese and onions. Got it home to discover it was not freshly made but a regular pizza taken off the rack with some extra cheese and (fried) onions thrown on before reheating. It was not good. I was not given the option of fried versus raw onions. Overall an unpleasant experience I will not repeat. I was in town for Shad Festival recently and had a hankering for a slice, as I would never eat a fish from the Delaware river. I found Giuseppe's and luckily I was walking around and not trying to park anywhere near the building! Anyway, the pie was delicious. I had a couple slices of some kind of white pie with onions, mushrooms and sausage. Great crust! Even though I only ate the pizza, I would come back and sit down in the dining room, which has a nice little atmosphere. read more

Terrible take out experience. Not only was the food cold, they got the order wrong. And, 7 bucks for an order of pasta in olive oil and garlic may sound reasonable, however once you see how minuscule the amount is (less than a quarter cup) and cold to boot, you realize you paid far too much. Each entree supposedly comes with a house salad. We received one "salad" translation: a bunch of lettuce stuffed into a styrofoam container, no dressing and for reasons known only to them, double the amount of sausage and 1/3rd the amount of meatballs I ordered. So so odd. The 3rd entree, was supposed to be meatball parm, instead, we received chicken parm which was, wait for it: COLD. It's so difficult to find parking that I unfortunately did not bother to look at the order before I left. The service was not friendly and honestly it seemed like they were irritated and unorganized. I'm new to the area and was really hoping this could be a go to place but I won't be back. There are too many other places to try and the poor service and mediocre food just aren't worth my while. read more

I have been coming to Giuseppe's restaurant for many years. I have to say the one time I stopped in I was extremely unhappy with the owner. There is a new lobby addition to the pizzeria. As you walk in there is a bench and a second entrance that leads into the restaurant. I had just gotten off from work at a local middle-eastern restaurant called Marhaba. I decided to sit in the lobby part of Giuseppe's while I wait for my ride. It was 10:00 at night and I did not want to wait outside in the dark. As I am patiently waiting, I hear the owner say to a coworker "who the hell is that, what a creep". She then decides to walk to where I am sitting and forcefully opens the door to the lobby and angrily asks me why I am sitting there. I simply stated that I was waiting for my ride. I thought she would understand since she has a teenage daughter my age, as well as the fact that I have been a customer there for years. That was not the case. Instead, she says to me in a nasty tone "well you didn't buy anything from here" I mentioned that my ride would be there in no longer than five minutes and kindly asked if it was ok to wait. Her remark was "whatever". As soon as she stepped foot back inside the restaurant I heard her shout "fucking bitch" that is when I decided to leave and wait somewhere else. Like I said, I figured she would be more understanding to the situation since she has a teenage daughter of her own. The owner was also well aware of who I was since I have been buying pizza there ever since I was a child. That being said, I was shocked to witness her EXTREMELY rude behavior. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The owner seems like she hates the restaurant industry and does not treat her customers with any respect whatsoever. Even when I would stop in to order food her attitude was always poor. If you are looking for good food and a friendly staff, I suggest going somewhere else. read more
