Discovered this gem when I was in the area to shop near Grossmont! They offer a stamp card which I would recommend taking because I returned back on multiple occasions wanting to try a different drink! The drinks I've tried so far are their Raspberry Matcha Cooler, Moonlight Magic, and the Bees Knees Ice Blended Latte. My favorites are the Moonlight Magic Blended and Bees Knees! Both drinks are amazing and I'd recommend it for your first time. I can't quite distinguish the flavor of the Moonlight Magic but the drink is purple and topped with blue sprinkles. The Bees Knees is very sweet, I believe it is due to honey in the coffee. I think the Raspberry Cooler was a bit too tarte for me, and the sweetness level was pretty high too, but the drink itself is also pretty to look at! As for food, I tried their Turkey Pesto Melt. This place is probably my #1 coffee spot in SD.. and that's coming from a local. The lobby has never been open for as long as I've been coming here, up until recently. It was open on a Friday however, today (Sunday) the lobby was closed. Keep that in mind in case you're coming to sit down and break out your laptop. I've noticed that all of the bad reviews on here, un coincidentally come from immature people who curse in their negative review and are probably (unsurprisingly) rude in person. This is mine and my coworkers favorite coffee spot... like ever. I've never had a miss with their drinks. I'm not a huge fan of their breakfast sandwich selection, but I'm also a picky breakfast person (they aren't bad tasting, just definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea). I will absolutely take Gladly any day over Starbucks. Supporting a small business, is everything to me and you absolutely will not be disappointed. I've been coming to Gladly for a while and always loved it, but unfortunately, the experience I had this today was really disappointing. I ordered a sandwich with steak, but when I started eating it, I realized it actually had bacon. I'm Muslim and don't eat pork, so this was incredibly upsetting I had already eaten about a quarter of the sandwich before I realized. I immediately tried calling the store, but no one answered. I drove all the way back, and since the inside was closed, I had to wait in the drive-thru line for 30 minutes just to speak with someone. When I got to the window and tried to explain what happened, I wasn't given the space to finish my sentence. They just told me to pull forward and that they'd remake it, there wasn't any acknowledgment of how serious the mistake was. I also want to say I'm a barista myself. I completely understand that things can get hectic, especially during busy hours. But this didn't feel like a moment of being busy it felt kinda dismissive. read more

I hate to write a review like this on Christmas Eve, but I am brutally honest We ordered 2 coffees and a breakfast sandwich The coffees were terrible like fucken terrible I am Sorry I told my partner I'm sorry I can't drink this The guy at the window looks at us and says what do you want me to do ? I ordered another drink just to say I wasn't a total asshole Well ... it was even worse! I took one sip I think there was cloves in it, it was so gross I opened the window tossed that shit out the side of the road and I am not one to liter but I couldn't take it Now the sandwich we asked TWICE to please cut it in half and they said yes and to no surprise it wasn't cut Tater tots were stale asf Sand which was also old If we weren't as hungry as we were I would of tossed the sand which too His coffee was burnt I'd say only thing that was good was the Minute Maid oj with no straw Gladly coffee ? It was about 5 years since I was there last. I went again in 2023 and they were closed for walk in due to still renovations in the place. I went again in 2024 December and still walk in's was closed. But you could do a drive through. I do not care for drive through for anything. The line of their drive though would be very long. Love this place for grabbing my morning chai tea and bagel. It's more expensive than making my own but something about picking up food onw to work makes it taste 10x better lol. They give a huge portion of cream cheese on the bagel so I just eat as I drive. There is a military discount but it hit or miss if the person gives to you while in uniform. I don't ask for it bc I think the servers should auto apply. Anyways the breakfast sandwiches, acai bowls, smoothies, cookies butter latte and grilled cheese are very good too! This place is always packed, which I would say is the only downside to this place, but I'm so happy I finally tried it because that sandwich is AMAZING. First, I was blown away at the size, the picture doesn't do it justice, it was at least a pound of sandwich. And all the ingredients were so fresh, the bacon was really crispy, which I appreciate, I hate when bacon is chewy. Overall, it was soooo good. The Dirty Harry is to die for. Visiting family in town and we found this place via Yelp. Stopped by everyday after we discovered it. From the description, the Dirty Harry has butter and brown sugar which is explains why it's the most delicious cup of coffee I've had? We did not try the butter beer at universal but IM POSITIVE this beats it. Going to try to the Dirty Harry cold brew before we leave town and the matcha next time I'm in town. read more

I'm not sure if this is a new location or if they recently received a shipment of supplies. It looks fairly new? Some construction on the outside? I'm not sure. But the parking lot drive through situation is a little awkward. Stairs and walkways and parking spots. Supply boxes visible through the windows seems unprofessional. I didn't like it. The menu seems a little gimmicky. Cute names for drinks but you need to read more to find out what's in it. Seems very similar to the Better Buzz coffee shops. People tip for different expectations and I like to base my tip upon the completion of my service... I really like this spot! It's current just drive-through as they are remodeling their dining area. They have a lot of coffee options that give you a different type of variety from a typical Starbucks. Also, for food, their sandwiches are not big, but they are very tasty. They also allow you to customize it with many options. If you are vegan or vegetarian, there are also a lot of options. I'd like the standard egg sandwich with bacon and cheese on an English muffin. Still a drive thru only coffee shop while the interior is under construction. I got a blended cookie butter latte and it was so good. Perfectly sweet and tasted just like cookie butter plus a hint of Christmas spices. I finished it and was honestly so sad it was gone. I would definitely go back just for that or to try their Moonlight Magic Latte that has ube. Service was friendly and so fast that they already had my blended drink order ready by the time I pulled up. I'm excited for the shop to fully open! This place stated they are opened for the indoor area at 7:00 AM. I came and waited until 7:00 AM and nobody came by to open the door for sitting in. I waited until 7:05 AM and the employees inside saw me but didn't even come by to say we are not opening today for indoor or to open the door for us. The hours are clearly posted on the front.
