My secret-not so secret, coffee shop that I will stop at whenever I'm NEAR the 94. Gladly, once known as Butlers Coffee, is an amazing coffee shop nestled in Spring Valley. I stumbled upon this place in accident & have never once looked back. Ample parking space, quick service and a drive-thru. I normally order the iced Mexican mocha & can't forget about the cobbler oats! The cobbler oats are oatmeal, peanut butter (or almond butter), and berries. So simple but SO delicious & a great breakfast treat. Do you else a favor & visit this coffee shop- it's also great for doing work, just hanging out or drinking your coffee inside. I've gone to this coffee shop since it opened. The last few months I was randomly told I'd be charged extra if I wanted a cold brew without ice filled to the top. The inside has been closed for "renovations" since COVID. The line for drive through gets so long customers get in fights because they get cut in line. Also the line gets so long it's backing up traffic into the road which is very dangerous and unsafe . The best place for to-go breakfast/coffee in Spring Valley. Theyes remodeling the inside so we can only use drive through, and it is often around the corner & onto the street. The Lemon Poppyseed Coffee & chipotle BLT (I add an egg) are my favorite menu items to order. read more

The best acai and coffee in San Diego! This cute shop never disappoints, and the service is always quick. I absolutely love the acai bowls and the iced salted caramel macchiato. Drinks were good but I can not believe the muffin they had the nerve to sell me. It was literally inedible. It was hard as a rock (even warmed up...which I did not ask for) and was obviously overcooked/burnt. We drove by and the drive thru was packed so we decided we needed to try it. We made the mistake of walking inside because the inside was actually closed due to renovations (April '24). Oops. Drive thru was open, though and we ordered 2 lattes: Dirty Harry latte & Bee's Knees latte. They were both delicious. We have our Nespresso machine at home so don't get coffee out often but when you want a coffee that's also a treat finding a cafe like Gladly is really nice. We enjoyed our drinks and look forward to trying the food one day and also look forward to eating in the cafe when the work is done. read more

First time here this morning and WOW!!! I am coming back here more! Whoever was on the drive-thru speaker was super sweet and shared their specials. I ordered the sausage egg and cheese sandwich but sub for an everything bagel add cream cheese and the housemade chipotle sauce and you got yourself a BOMB breakfast! You are welcome ;) The service was really fast for a drive-thru and My max got his first-ever pup cup, thank you for the great start to our day and we will be back! We ordered a Dirty Harry cold brew and a pumpkin latte. Both drinks were very good! We were confused about the Dirty Harry listed as "blended" when it was just coffee on ice (not a blended drink you would see at other coffee shops). This was perfectly fine with us but the barista made a point to tell us it was blended but it wasn't (?). The shop was closed to order inside due to remodeling but it was cute inside the last time I was here and there was ample sitting room. I can't wait to return! read more

I have a love/hate relationship with this coffee shop. I'm not a coffee drink so I go here for the breakfast sandwiches and the hot chocolate. Everything is delicious. My only complaint is that they NEVER get my order right! I always order the SAME thing but they just can't seem to ever get it right. They do fix it after I tell them. Today I didn't bother. But I think next time I go I will try and order inside rather than the drive thru. There are always huge lines in the drive thru but it always goes super fast. I do recommend this place. Been there over 100 times, unfortunately thats it. What made this place do great was the customer service and consistency. I came at 530am last week and you can tell the girl was in a bad mood. She also got my drink wrong, but the label was right. Today I ordered two drinks, and tried to use my stamp card to pay for one drink and cash for other. The stamp card had to be used for the next drink. I've used the stamp card the same visit when buying 2 drinks, dozens of time but not today. I only had enough cash on me for one drink was going to use the stamp card for the other but not today. I left with only one drink. There's plenty of other coffee shops on my route to work to go to. Just drove a good 15 mins to check this place out due to the positive reviews. It was a bit weird to see how quickly I got my food (about 1 minute after ordering) and then I realized it was pre-made and sitting out. I ordered a bacon breakfast sandwich and the bread was so stale I could hardly bite into it, the bacon was soggy, and the sandwich was kids sized. The aftertaste was so bad, it tasted like they don't clean their grills or whatever they use to cook. This was my first and last time here, you can get fresher food at Jack in the box. read more

I love this place so much! I stopped by once and I've been looking for it ever since. I found it today and ordered a Jack sandwich, replacing the bacon for extra turkey. It was delicious! I also got the regular cookie butter latte. I love that they have so many healthy options. Last time I got an elderberry drink. I want to try the ACV one next time. Infinite stars!!! The Peanut Butter Latte is one of the tastiest lattes I have EVER had. I will be dreaming about this latte. The Mr. Avo sandwich was also delightful. The employees were kind, helpful, and very fast. The drive-thru was busy but moved quickly. I will absolutely be returning. The prices are also great. Two sandwiches and a coffee for $25. I don't normally leave reviews but I saw Dillon T's 1-star review from 11/29 and had to do my part to counter that. I've been to Gladly at least 100 times in the last two years (I live in La Mesa) and I can say with 100% confidence that I've never had bad customer service or received a negative attitude from any staff member at Gladly. They've always been helpful and polite. I'd also like to add that they've NEVER gotten my order wrong, which I can't say for nearly every other place I've ordered food/coffee from in recent memory. The coffee here is fantastic, the food is delicious (I've gotten several different breakfast sandwiches and they always taste fresh and like something I'd make at home; try their everything bagel w/ avocado, cream cheese and bacon *chef's kiss*) and they have a drive-thru. Can't beat that. A year after I started going here, I switched to decaf (thanks HBP) and they use decaf espresso, which tastes about a million times better than the alternative. Don't let negative nancy Dillon T dissuade you, Gladly is awesome and by far the best coffee shop in the area. read more
