We went looking for dresses for my daughter, who will be in a pageant at the National American Miss Teen pageant (NAM). The staff was FABULOUS! Imagine former crown holders assisting you look for a gown. They were very knowledgable and helpful. The owner was there, and she was fantastic. The dresses were beautiful. Avoid this hole in the wall at all cost! It's in a strip mall and the inside is dingy. They are rude and make you feel unwelcome. As soon as you walk in the door they ask if you have an appointment, which we did. They should welcome anyone willing to walk in here. There is zero customer service. Once we found four possible dresses, they only give you two at a time. I have never walked in a boutique or any store for that matter and felt such a disconnect with the sale reps. We found two dresses that were a possibility but I would rather give my business to a business worthy of my money. You ruined my daughter's prom dress shopping experience. The dresses are very nice and the lady checking my daughter and I out was amazing and patient. I was not very impressed by the gals helping us out with the dresses. We told one of the gals helping us that one of the dresses was a maybe and probably needed to order it in a different color. She put the dress back on the rack and someone else took it. I posted a review and somehow it got taken down. My sister and I have never been treated so terribly at a shop. My sister was trying to find her dress for her senior prom and went in completely full of joy. First off there plus size section is pretty non existent. Not a single worker helped us find dresses or pick out a dress, she was not getting the full experience, we noticed they were helping all the other average sized women but paid no attention to her. When she went to try on the dresses they stated you can't zip them up yourself and we said that was okay until no workers ever came to help we ended up having to do it ourselves. When we brought up our frustration the workers handled it so offensively when they were the ones not doing their jobs. I also want to note the owner was the rudest of them all. Would give a 0 star if I could, also want to add once I posted this I got a response saying we will look through our footage and make sure this happened. Definitely hit or miss on styles. My daughter only found a handful of dresses to try on. I was reprimanded for zipping up my daughters dress. I get not wanting to damage the dress, but no one was around to help. You have to make an appointment, so if that's the case, someone should be there to assist. read more

This store carries beautiful couture dresses. But the customer service left a sour taste in my mouth. The sales woman was no help at all, she looked me over and told me I would never fit in the dress size I stated. Instead of proving me wrong or even showing me larger sizes she left it at that and dismissed me. Now what retailer would not be willing to make $600 off of a sale?! An ignorant racist one! Totally Rude! We spent $500+ dollars last year on a dress that they sold us the wrong size and had to have it exchanged for the correct size, and then another $250 to have an altered. I chose Glam Squad after reading the reviews on yelp and decided to take the 2 hour journey down to Scottsdale from Groom Creek (Prescott.) Wow! Upon entering, we were greeted by Catherine, a very sweet and patient sales associate. She was a busy bee, pulling prom dresses for my daughter and other teenaged girls, while keeping very pleasant! This store was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. However, you will find a very large selection of gorgeous dresses and a dedicated sales staff! After trying on many designer dresses, my daughter chose a Mac Duggal embellished v neck gown in gold. So 70's and so her! I brought my daughter and a few of her friends in to look for prom dresses. They first off make you feel like you really can't afford their dresses. The place looks cheap inside. We looked around and the dresses didn't seem anything spectacular To me for the prices rather go to Neimans or Saks. I asked to see a dress for myself that was in a glass case and they first said "you know that dress is over 1k" I said yes I know. Then she still kinda looked at me and walked to ask this older lady (I'm guessing the owner) about me seeing it. Then she said to me again those dresses are over a thousand dollars. I said yes I know I can afford it. Then she told me I would have to schedule an appt if I wanted to see that. I said I'm fine I will go somewhere else. Talk about RUDE! Glam Squad had a HUGE variety of dresses to try on and choose. My daughter tried on over 50 dresses across 3 weekends before finding "the one." The women working the floor were very nice and helpful with guiding my daughter to dresses that worked with her style. After choosing, Patti was very kind and patient about helping my daughter finalize her decision and she was able to order the dress she wanted in the correct size. Some people complain about Glam Squad being picky about trying on. For the most part, they are selling dresses off the rack. You are not trying on samples - these dresses are items for sale. Therefore, they are going to ask you to be careful not to damage the dresses because they cannot sell a dress if you damage it by forcing zippers, snagging beads, or smudging makeup on the fabric. They are super nice, they just ask for a little mutual respect. So, the gown was ordered. It arrived earlier than expected and Patti gave us a list of seamstresses that could make the final alterations. The dress is beautiful and my daughter is happy. I purchased my daughters junior and senior prom dresses here. Both times we received excellent service and never felt pressured to buy anything. The girls that work there were patient with her. She tried on many dresses and they never once made us feel like we were overstaying our time. One thing that is really nice is when she bought the dress they noted which high school she went to so they wouldn't sell it to someone else at her high school. I went in with her friend to try and find my prom dress for my junior year. The lady was very rude and kept telling me I wouldn't fit in a dress "that size" which made me very upset and self conscious about my weight. She wouldn't leave me alone the entire time and if I went to look at a different size dress section she came up to me and told me I would not fit in that and she will take me back to my section. I asked her if I could try a dress that was on the mannequin and she told me she didn't think it was my size before even looking at the tag. When I told her it was my size she gave it to me but told me it probably wouldn't fit still.
