After trying this place several times and giving it several chances it just seems racist to me. Every time I go there they seem to take certain people right away regardless of appt and place people of color last and with nail artists that are at the bottom of the list and do not do a good job. I feel like every time I've gone there being a person of color I've been treated badly and been given the worst nail techs and service. They have also been rude to me several times and very polite to caucasians. The lady at the front desk is always so sweet and the nail techs are professional and always so incredibly kind. The tricky thing about nail salons is that wherever you will go, your experience depends mostly with the technician you get assigned to. I give it four stars because most of the technician have been good and I've been seated on time of my reservation. Kicking off one star because with any place, I have had my handful of times with not so great technicians. All is forgiven, except for the part where I'm pretty sure they're talking about your unpleasantries if frustrated with your requests. And tip - bring cash or be prepared to Venmo your technician individually. read more

I've tried this spot a couple of times and it's just okay, nothing special. The shop is small and congested, and not very clean. It's better to sit outside if there's any seats available, this way you can get fresh air and people watch. On my last visit I came in for an "Express" mani/pedi, which is really just a polish change. They didn't even clean under my nails. I'm assuming the guy who did my manicure didn't understand English that well because it took forever for him to understand that I wanted clear pink/natural polish even with me showing him a photo. When both people were finished with my mani/pedi, I left a 20% tip (for very mediocre service). The guy picked up the money and said "is this all for me?" Seriously? In my head I was thinking, if the entire tip was for him what did he think the lady who did my pedicure was supposed to get? Nothing? Ever heard of splitting a tip? Gees! Needless to say, he took the entire tip and walked away. Hopefully the lady got her part. Honestly, I wasn't pleased with the service from the guy at all. On the plus side, they have lots of nail colors to choose from. However, that's not enough for me to become a "regular". I'll keep searching. read more

I really thought hard about writing this review, as I hate to give two stars to a business that has such nice people, but I think people should know what sort of services they would expect here. I've been a customer at this location for years - since 2015 or so, and I kept going simply because it was within walking distance and the people are so sweet. However, I can really only remember two or three occasions where I felt completely satisfied with my nails. My usual is a gel mani and pedi, and each time there were issues during or after the service. The most prevalent issue was the technician rushing, and not checking the nails for complete curing before applying another layer. The gel would peel in layers, revealing sticky undercoats that rub off onto my hands and clothes. This past experience was really my last straw - the gel was so wet underneath it created a bubble that burst with black gel that got on my hands and arm. I went back the very next day and asked them to do the faulty fingers over, and they were so sweet and redid them, but the technician, even during the redo, rushed and tried to leave me with a disfigured mani showing the pock marks she merely went over with another coat. She redid the entire nail, only after I asked her, and after 30 minutes of unsuccessful attempts to fix them. For the price, this type of service is unacceptable to me, and it makes me sad to have to write this review. I hope management can read this and apply some changes to how the work is done, and there have been too frequent of a turnover to stay with the same technician. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this nail salon over the weekend. 1) I told my nail tech (I believe her name was Tracy) that I wanted a regular manicure. She said, "Don't you want gel?" I proceeded to say that my nails grow really fast so after a week I already have to re-do my nails so I prefer regular nail polish. She then said it must have been because of my last nail tech that they didn't last. I explained again the issue. She asked me a third time and then asked if I wanted dip. 2) She kept bringing up money and her finances throughout the appointment. I totally get it, times are so hard right now! But it did seem like she was trying to guilt me into leaving her a big tip especially because right after mentioning this she said to make sure to tip her on Venmo and say it was for a coffee so she didn't have to pay taxes. 3) THIS is what really ruined the experience. When the top coat was being applied, she accidentally made a mistake which dented the polish (you could see the nail if that makes sense). She said right away that she would fix it without me saying anything which I was thankful for. Well this "fix" was layering the polish on that one spot and painting over just a portion of the nail and then applying the top coat. You could very easily see the mistake and it looked awful. I said, isn't that going to be visible, as a hint for it to be redone. She assured me it wouldn't be. I asked her to redo that nail because the reason for my visit was because I was shooting some product videos for my small business and there were going to be close ups of my hands. She sighed very loudly and rushed to wipe the polish and do each coat, fanning that nail frantically with a piece of paper and making it a big deal. At the end, she just took the pillow off my lap and that was it. No "thank you," "see you next time," "have a good day." She just stormed off and didn't say anything. What a huge disappointment! I had even told her that this was the first time I was getting my nails done since having my baby almost a year ago and so I was so excited to treat myself. read more

This was my first time coming to this nail salon. I was serviced with an acrylic manicure and a gel pedicure. My pedicure cost $50 and that's a normal price, however, they did not give me a massage and put my feet in Luke warm water. The whole process for the pedicure took 15 minutes. NOT a $50 experience. For my acrylic manicure, the nails turned out beautifully! HOWEVER, they charged $90. The only "extra" I got was chrome topping and rounding out the tips. I got a pedicure done here on Friday afternoon. Luckily same day appointment was available but probably won't be returning again. I had Holly who was really nice but did not understand a word I'd say. I had to keep calling the receptionist over to translate even the receptionist was confusing me for pricing. I got an organic pedicure and they skipped grape seed oil all together. Even when I asked for it they dismissed it. I had to show her how to cut my nails evenly. It was a frustrating experience. The application of the nail polish was choppy and uneven. Over all they provided basic service which was not worth $70 plus $15. (Anyone who does my pedicure gets $15 tips) This place is over priced and gives less value for its service. I suggest not to put new nail tech on packages like organic pedicure and just let them do basic nails until they learn to cut and apply polish properly. read more
