I had my first appointment since they've opened after COVID shutdown, and I'd have to say it was a pleasant experience. The staff and office is well prepared to avoid virus issues - disposal pens, disposable sunglasses, disposable plastic over the tablet, and glass behind the reception area on two sides. I didn't know what to expect pulling up to the office with my girls, but as soon as we did the office immediately made me feel comfortable. it was nice and clean. Sarah is awesome, very up beat and friendly! Erica was also very friendly. So as I was sitting in the chair, Dr. Sherry Darabi, I got the feeling that she was very considerate about getting a plan in order. she was very nice, informative and professional. It was an emergency! My front flipper tooth broke late the afternoon before we were leaving to drive nine hrs north to the middle of the redwood forest for a funeral. The tooth needed to be repaired in a lab. Dr. Darabi and her staff put their heads together and made arrangements for me to be at the lab first thing the next morning. When going to the dentist is better than a tough day at work, you know you found a good place. Because of a new insurance plan, I needed to choose a different dentist, and I ended up choosing Glassell Dental because of how close to home it was. Let me tell you though, I would drive in Orange County traffic for them if they were a distance from me. The team here is amazing. My first encounter was with the office manager, Gabby. She is so sweet, attentive, and helpful. Then I met the hygienist, Genevieve, who is also equally as lovely. My cleaning was so quick and painless. Genevieve is great. Dr. Darabi is wonderful as well. She is very gentle and considerate. The dental assistant, Erika, is simply the best though. Through out every procedure, she would ask if I was ok, pat my shoulder to comfort me, crack little jokes to put me at ease. I feel like she treated me like family. I think that is what is so wonderful about this place. They are work so well together as a team, but the also treat their patients as though they are friends. They offer everything a person like me (anxious about going to the dentist) could ask for. The office is clean and welcoming. The staff there are all so nice and understanding. I have been to a lot of dentist over the years as I have moved around a lot but this is one of first ones I have been to where they really make an effort to get to know a little about you and try to make you as comfortable as possible. They gave me a pillow for extra support when you are lying back on the chair and they also give you some glasses to protect your eyes from the lamp they use and splatter as they are working on you. I had the worst dental experience of my life here. I came here based on positive Yelp reviews since I'm new to Orange County. Dr. Darabi told me I had 6 new cavities. I was taken aback as I've only had one cavity in 27 years and I take great care of my teeth. I agreed to have two fillings done that day despite my hesitations. I was advised by a friend to get a second opinion as that was a lot of dental work. I took my x-rays from Dr. Darabi's office to a new dentist that a friend recommended. She told me she saw zero cavities per the x-rays and an in-person exam. I am furious that I was taken advantage of and that Dr. Darabi drilled two perfectly good teeth. In addition, the office has raffles for Louis Vuitton purses and other expensive gifts in exchange for Yelp reviews. Many of the older Yelp reviews are for the previous dentist that owned Glassell Dental. So take these five star reviews with a grain of salt. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS AND SAVE YOUR TEETH!! read more

I was searching for a new dentist who is gentle and patient and I finally found her! I've been going to another dentist for many many years, but they had a staff change and couldn't bear the dental cleanings there anymore. At Glassell Dental, all the staff are women (which I love) and super friendly. Sarah, the office manager worked with my busy schedule to fit me in last minute. Erika is the RDA with the amazing hair who will be super patient and work with you. I noticed she sanitized every surface after touching it which I had never seen done to that extent in other offices. I have a bad gag reflex so X-rays aren't fun for me. Erika made this process go as smooth as it possibly could. During the exam, Dr. Darabi was super gentle and thorough. She actually found two cavities and was able to take care of it during the same appointment! One of the cavities was deep but she made it as painless as possible. They have really great prices compared to other dentist offices. Take advantage of their new patient special: X-ray, exam, cleaning for $59! WOW! This office is absolutely INCREDIBLE! If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would. will be the first to say that I HATE going to the dentist. I've had plenty of bad experiences from inexperienced staff to rough and rude dentists, but Dr. Derabi and her staff are absolutely AMAZING. The moment you walk in you are greeted with a smile and a friendly hello from Sarah, who is not only incredibly nice but knowledgeable and helpful with all questions from insurance and scheduling to after care and hygiene. Moving to the back of the office you have Erica, the sweetest and funniest dental assistant I've ever met. She's always got a witty comment or a reassuring message to keep you comfortable and at ease. Finally, you meet Dr. Darabi, the most talented and caring dentist you'll find anywhere. She told me exactly what she was doing, she told me my problem areas and how to work on them, and when she got to work on my teeth it was like she wasn't even there. From the Novacaine shots to the drill to the fillings, I hardly felt a thing. She clearly cares about her patients and really loves what she does. I actually called on a Monday (a non patient day) because my temporary crown fell off (at no fault to them) and Dr. Derabi offered to stay late to have me come in and have it fixed. I drove from LA to Orange County to see Dr. Kwon because he was highly recommended. The drive is completely worth it to see a good dentist and Dr. Kwon did not disappoint. Dr. Kwon made sure I was comfortable, asked all the right questions and had my broken filling replaced with a crown in two quick appointments. After dental work I usually have some sensitivity when I brush my teeth at night. The day I had my crown put in I brushed my teeth and felt as if nothing had happened! wow ...ive never expierenced a dentist so genuinly engaged and aware of things going on with my teeth. she did her intial check up and laid out to me in order what she feels is most important and least important in regards to what i need fixed inside my mouth. i decieded to start my two crowns she definatly said i needed like that day... i didnt feel like she was just trying to pacify me just get me out so she could go home.. she went above and beyond and stayed like till 730 pm just to finsih what she started in my mouth. and on top of it simplified my life a lot oh yeah and i wasnt even sore the next day after the two crowns...thank u doctor qnd staff read more

I went in for two fillings today. I was a few minutes late but the staff and Dr were very understanding. When I walked into the office, everyone greeted me and that was very nice. The office is clean and inviting. The appointment was fast and the Dr was very gentle. I got a little nervous and a little shaky with the local anesthesia but the Dr was very reassuring and gave me some water and yogurt to get my blood sugar up when she was done, since I hadn't eaten much. I was recently down in the Anaheim area and experienced some issues with one of my previous fillings falling out. I called Glassell and they were able to give me a prompt appointment. When I visited their office everyone was very professional and they took some x-rays and noticed I needed some additional work as well which my other dentist had missed. Dr. Darabi fixed my tooth with the filling issue and the others that had shown to be problematic on the x-ray. She was very gentle and did an outstanding job.
