It's unfortunate I have to write this review as my family and I have been customers since I was a child. This has always been my go-to doughnut shop, but I guess we have to take our business elsewhere. Firstly, the wife was not taking any precautions and was handling the drinks and doughnuts without any gloves or mask. Secondly, customers (without masks) were in and out of the shop when it clearly said 5 people at once, no more. LASTLY, a BLACK man came in wanting to buy something from the fridge. He asked another customer (POC) if the shop was still open. He's looking for what to buy while he awaits an answer. She calls her husband from the bak to watch him while she tends to my drink. The wife hurriedly says "No. We are closed." I give her the benefit of doubt. Maybe the store is closed early due to circumstances (8 pm). Okay. The man leaves and I found more POC (non-Black) coming in and buying scratchers. Why did she single him out? Why did she tell him they were closed when they clearly weren't? Regardless I am not going to stand for racism against Black people. read more

When I used to work around the Mission, I would always stop by this little gem to grab their freshly made avocado or carrot shake. At first, I thought they wouldn't be "fresh" but I was wrong. Awesome donuts! We stopped by this place while out and about yesterday morning and it was a great sugary way to start our morning. We got a filled long john, an apple fritter and a chocolate glazed donut. They were all so fresh and delicious!!! Not to mention, the staff was fast and the donuts were well priced (3 donuts and a house coffee to go was about $7). However, the coffee was not very good. I like to come around here, because it is on my way home/work, but everytimes I buy something from there I leave unhappy, one is because they are not nice, as soon as the customer pay them they take it easy and delay everything, they rush you out to get the money from you but after they do not rush them out. They do not have a good hall way where customer can wait until the product is ready. The place is not too clean that is a minus. This is by far MY FAVORITE Bagel/Donut shop in the Excelsior. 37 different specialty bagel sandwiches - all customizable; every topping you can think of. Coffee, boba drinks and smoothies, blended ice coffees, tea and milkshakes. A variety of donuts and super cheap donut holes. This place is run by the sweetest little family! They are gracious and kind and sometimes have their cute baby hanging around. Don't let the humble atmosphere and cheap prices fool you, this place is gold. It's a family owned business that are friendly and have good food. They don't just have donuts here. They have sandwiches, tapioca drinks, coffee, tea, lotto, and a few other items. They're located right in front of bus stop so it's convenient to stop in and grab something to before hopping on the bus. The prices are decent so I enjoy coming back each time. read more

I really like this place. Wonderful Donuts & Pastries, they are making fresh every day. It's their Family's, Mrs. 周 Shu & her daughter's family homemade. One day in rainy day, I slipped at their entrance. But, I found renewer entrance, next day. They took away some flooring & placed built in no slip Mat. How clever decision they made. I've been coming to this store for around a little more than 10 years , I remember begging my parents if me and my siblings could get some donut holes before we go to school ( I went to Monroe Elementary School , which was only about 3 blocks away. ) I remember the owners being super kind and would even give us a few pieces of candy here and there . But when I graduated elementary school and started going off to Middle School and High School , I wouldn't come here as often . Everytime I would walk into the doors of Glaze Donuts , I would be greeted with a warm welcoming . The owners would recognize me and my brother (my sister went off to college) and they would compliment us on how much we've grown and matured . I love this place especially because of the kind service , the affordable prices , and the delicious donuts . I hope I can bring my kids here one day and hopefully share the same experience I had when I was a kid . I would often stop by once in a while to pick up a donut and everytime my mouth would start to water when I would walk through the door . I hope this place will be open forever . read more

This is a great donut spot located in the excelsior! Other shops don't offer the variety this place offers. I personally like to order an iced coffee along with one of their breakfast bagels, which include fresh vegetables, meat, bacon, egg and your choice of cheese! They also sell egg rolls and chow neon. The noodles are pretty decent! Not bag, pretty big portion for $3. Great for on the go snack or breakfast! Breakfast bagels range from 4-7 dollars but are a LOT better than some mom and pop shops close by. Not bad for the location and its prices. read more

I like the people running it. Once when I needed milk for my kids and no store was yet open, he let me buy a gallon from him and he undercharged me. Very kind to everyone who comes in.
