I called Glenn Wing Power Tools on a Monday morning to check the availability of a Festool Rotex sander and CT26 vacuum. They not only had the requested tools, but the tools and other accessories were waiting for me at the counter and they even recorded the serial numbers in their database for the 3 year Festool warranty. when i first started buying tools at Glenn Wing Jeff the owner was nice and took time to go over some of the tools and features. now that I have most tools I need for awhile I get treated like I'm annoying them when I have questions. there 3 to 5 people working in store most of the time yet they are always rushing and acting like your taking too much of their time. I dont window shop, I have spent well over $10k in last year at this store. I have seen them treat others rudely as well. I spent $4,000.00 plus on a shaper origin cnc router with all bells and whistles a week before a newer better version was released. Jeff said he would have the woman works for him call the rep to see how to handle swapping it out since it was less than 30 days. what a fiasco that turned into... she doesn't know how to handle herself with anything other than ringing up a simple product. she screwed that whole transaction with shaper origin up and she/Jeff kept blaming shaper tools rep and when I talked to shaper directly the problem was Glenn wing tool. Joe told me about TSO rails on the phone to enhance my Festool track saw but I didn't quite understand and he gave me to jeff to explain it before I drove 45 minutes one way. it was very obvious he was annoyed and kept saying he had customers in the store. well he had two other people in the store helping him. Told me I needed to come to the store to see it and if I still didn't get it then he would show me. like I have nothing better to do than drive 45 minutes one way to find out it's not something I would want. this is about the time where I started getting pissed off at the way I was getting treated by Jeff and the woman that works there. No issues really with Joe. I think the sooner joe takes over for his father the better off Glenn wing will be.... Jeff needs to go if he is too sick, grumpy, old or whatever his issues are. the woman working there messes up the cash register and or sales all the time. She almost overcharged me during the shaper fiasco and Jeff had to fix it and in process deleted my entire account and didn't know how. another occasion she wrang up $1070.00 instead of $107.00. and then returned the $1070.00. 60 days later my accountant showed me credit card charges $1070.00, then $107.00, then $107.00, and finally $1070.00 credit. my accountant believes she charged me twice for the $107 so I told Jeff when I was there and instead of looking at it while I was there said he would look at it later and call me the next day?? really? next no call so my accountant reversed the second $107 charge. couple days later someone emailed me an explanation of what they think happened. not the phone call so I didn't get it for about a week as I do very little in email. Jeff called me like three times in one day after the charge was reversed but I was working and didn't have phone so missed them. when it came to his losing money he wanted me to respond asap but when it was my money.... crickets. FYI this was a case where she charged $107 on one machine and it crashed so she went to the next. they can up with a different receipt from a different time to have American Express recharge my card for the erroneous $107. I don't know if they deliberately modified a receipt to get that charge back or if they are that incompetent with their point of sale system. If that $107 in his pocket is more important than admitting their mistake than they lost me as a customer. Almost every transaction with their cash register seems to be a problem. wether she rings it up wrong, the system locks up, or she gets a message on the screen that she doesn't know what to do with it is alarming how many point of sales issues they have. Jeff doesnt seem to know the system much better from my experience. all I can say is double check the price she charges you as even that has been wrong in past. Check to make sure she doesn't charge you a second time on your statement when the first machine locks up and she goes to the second. for some reason they have two separate point of sales systems and one does more than the other on same counter but one does not know what the other has done. I ordered some TSO knobs which did not come with the centering washers which makes them useless as the centering washers are the wearable item. joe ordered them. I asked the lady about the washers and Jeff had to come to the front. the first words out of his mouth was that he pays the same price I do so he isn't making any money on them. I need to call TSO. Jeff is so busy and rude now I won't be doing further business with him. Between getting charged twice for the same item because one machine went down and she switched to the next and I got charged twice to Jeff's attitude I will be going to March power tools or I will go go to Rockler, so much for trying to help out the mom and pop shops instead of a corporate store. Jeff officially lost my business and I will no longer recommend Glenn Wing power tools. read more

Not only does Glenn Wing have a wide range of quality woodworking tools, the staff has a great deal of knowledge that's priceless. Regardless if you're a pro or amateur, you're treated the same. After explaining to Jeff the color I was after, he was kind enough to call another customer who had refinished their cabinets. We tested what they used and it was exactly what I wanted!! I lost my father a few years ago, and was under a time constraint to finish a project for his funeral service. I stopped at Glenn Wing because they sold the type of tool I needed to complete the project. Unfortunately, they were sold out that day of what I needed. The owner then started making calls for me, and found the tool I needed. He also told me that the tool needed to be assembled and to bring it back after I bought it. I purchased the product at another store, and brought it back. He took about an hour to help me put it together and show me all there was to know about the product (a Festool Miter Saw). He did all of this and never asked for a single thing from me. It's very rare to have someone that you have never met take time away from running their business to help you. I have since returned and bought many other things from them, and every time had amazing customer service. As long as this store is open, I will shop there and recommend it to everyone I know.
