BEWARE- DO NOT GO HERE!!! We visited Glitter Karaoke in Houston for my daughter's 21st birthday and had a very disturbing experience. The doorman (who goes by Doorman HTX on social media) was wearing Meta glasses, recorded us at the door, and posted the video online. Our driver's licenses were shown unblurred, with full names, birthdates, and home addresses visible. The Instagram post reached tens of thousands of views before Instagram disabled his account for violating their policies. Unfortunately, he has since reposted the video on other platforms -- on YouTube he blurred the licenses, but the original Instagram version was not blurred and had already spread. We live in California and even got a call from someone back home who saw the video, so this exposure traveled far beyond Houston. This is extremely dangerous, putting guests at risk of identity theft and harassment. It is unacceptable that an employee is allowed to film patrons' IDs and post them for likes and views. Management needs to take immediate action to remove this content everywhere and ensure this never happens again. Beware before visiting -- your privacy and safety could be compromised.

I can't hang with the Gen Zer's. Lol. This karaoke spot has a Tues night reverse happy hour. Came after a birthday dinner to check it out. It was around 10pm and it was only a handful of people in there. There was a DJ playing so we got a drink and jammed for a little bit. Majority of the tables had reserved on them so it confused me a bit at first. Ya girl old. I was only going to stay out until 11 on a "work night". When we were getting ready to leave the DJ started making announcements that karaoke was about to start. A lot more people were there at that time. But I'm like y'all "about" to get started at 11!!? Don't y'all work tomorrow? Lol. The crowd seemed very young like 20s, maybe early 30s. Y'all got the energy, not me. I noticed the pieces of papers on the tables to select a song and hand it to the DJ to get in que. To my dismay they had a stipulation that you had to buy two drinks in order to even sign up for karaoke. I had ordered a side car which I don't think was on their happy hour special. It was $15 and it was just okay. It had way to much ice and not enough liquor. I was done after that and didn't want to order anything else.

Pretty decent establishment. Rated 4/5 only because of service. Maybe I'm just not fully aware of the ordering goes, however decent pricing for Wednesday's. My first time here I loved it back in July. This is my second time here and tonight was a complete 180. Unfortunately, my steak was cooked medium well when I ordered medium rare. However, imma still tear up my tomahawk. The rice side item was bland... I think their best side item was their mashed potatoes from way back. But it's okay. The vibes are always fun here and entertaining.

This bar added an automatic 20% gratuity to our bill. Then also had a line for a tip. Unfortunately, we missed this overcharge. This bartender got a tip on her tip. Here's a tip for you-Stop being dishonest! So tired of the hyper inflation and everyone jumping on the bandwagon to rip customers off. Also food items on the advertised menu online we're nonexistent. We had wings. No tomahawk steak or any steak of any kind. Pictures and online menu are very deceiving... Cheap tacky hole in the wall. Will never go again!

I haven't gone karaoke-ing in what seems like forever! So I was super excited about this place. Buy a few drinks, and you can put in a request! Unfortunately, I was in the restroom when they played our song... So I missed that opportunity, but I still had a wonderful time! There is a stage in the front of the main room with some mics. Drinks aren't the best, but whatchu gonna expect of a karaoke bar?

Ask the Community - Glitter Karaoke

What time does the karaokestart on Wed.?

I believe once they open in the evening at 6pm. However, people don't start singing until 8pm. They also have private karaoke rooms you can rent though.

Can you go if you're 18 on Wednesday?

    Nope.

How updated are yall karaoke songs?

Super updated and the DJ is so cool.

Is karaoke so busy you won't get to sing on sat? I'm in town and bringing friends

No it's not to busy to sing! I have been on Saturday and can normally sing multiple times. It's also a great place to go and hang out! They have a basketball machine, darts and pool too!

To start out, the concept feels like a blend of accents from other popular bars in the area - the hammock chairs from Axelrad, the Adirondack chairs from Truck Yard, and the string light back patio from 8th Wonder. This blend makes it hard to give the bar a true identity. While they do have a large selection of beers on tap, their cocktail menu leaves me feeling lost. I appreciate the attempt to create unique flavor combinations but the options are just...confusing. For example, mezcal with citrus and prickly pear, or a highball with black currant, tequila and apricot. I'm holding on for dear life with all of these ingredients! Going along for the adventure, I tried their pickle cocktail that was on the menu and it was honestly, terrible. While they do have a happy hour that goes until 8pm, the service this last visit just wasn't the best. The server who helped me told me it was his second day and was clearly struggling to keep up with the cocktail combinations, referencing his phone many times while preparing the drink. I ended up not liking this drink and brought it back to the bar with just one sip gone and rather than offering to make me another drink, they kept it on my bill. Ok, whatever. That being said, just before this happened, the couple in front of me went to pay for their bill, prepared drinks in hand, at 8:02pm and the bartender refused to honor the happy hour prices, just two minutes past the official end time. With these two instances, it seems like the priority is maximizing every dollar of profit rather than investing in the customer experience. Given the number of other original concepts in the area, I would pass.

Considering the recent shutter of other places (#2) within the hospitality umbrella, it's not too big of a surprise that Wooster's would also be in the crosshairs. The space was always a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating, which combined with its dedicated parking lot made this an easy drinking outlet for all kinds of occasions. The intimate indoor space was lovely and well ventilated, and it felt like there wasn't ever a moment where the bar wasn't slammed. The outdoor space was much of the same, with lots of tables and chairs, and even the trendy swing chairs facing the city. The only thing that was a little bit of a liability were those open flame heaters; it would only take on person to accidentally walk into one or trip onto it. For libations, the drinks were well priced, well made, and always potent. I appreciated the aesthetics, as well as the bartenders who made them. The only part that wasn't exciting was the limited food menu, which did its part as munchies for the drink heavy crowd, but was mediocre otherwise. We were able to snag some free street parking and wandered our way into a cute setup with mood lighting and plenty of seating. There's a central bar and plenty of outdoor patio space. We came in as an impromptu visit after an earlier event and figured we'd just stop in for a glass of wine or so. Upon walking in, the place is super cute with dim lighting and was quite crowded on a Thursday night. We didn't immediately find available seating, but after a couple minutes, a table opened up and we sat there. Our primary server was Grayson, who was super knowledgeable about the wine list. Other servers tended to us throughout the night, and all were equally as knowledgeable about the menu offerings. At the time we went, they were featuring various wines from Beaujolais. We ended up trying one of these, the Alexandre Burgaud Brouilly Rouge, which was a full-bodied red. This was a great recommendation, and I will say that we didn't conclude the visit on only one of these bottles... Based on Grayson's food recommendations, we ended up ordering the Mortadella panini and a combination charcuterie board. The Mortadella panini was unique but good - tomato, mortadella, provolone, and mustard all served on a pretzel bun. Probably not my dish of choice alongside wine, however I did really like the charcuterie board. We asked them to surprise us on the cheese and meat, and they really came through. The prosciutto was tasty and the cheese (can't remember which one) had a peppery flavor to it, which paired well with our red wine. The overall clientele vibe seemed like a range of date nights, girls nights, first dates, and solo drinkers. I love the diversity! We ended up making friends with the table next to us and eventually merged tables to make this a fun group date night. Definitely a highlight of the visit. We will definitely be back sooner than later. This is a cute neighborhood bar that I look forward to returning myself and brining out-of-town guests to come experience. They also have a dog-friendly patio - something to keep in mind whenever the day calls for drinking some wine in nice outdoor weather!
