Ahn and her husband Henry are such amazing nail techs. Ahn squeezed me in for a last minute appointment so my nails were fresh for my friends wedding. I showed her my vision for acrylic coffin nails and she went above and beyond to make them look great! She's super sweet and offered great conversation too. The only thing I would have liked is if she cleaned up more of my cuticle prior to beginning the acrylic application. But almost two weeks later and my nails still look great! Henry did my pedi and even helped make my toe nail look complete. Due to a foot injury, my big toe nail fell off and is just growing back. He was able to fill it and shape it, making me comfortable enough to wear open toed shoes for the big day. He was so nice and non judgement at all which was a huge relief! The salon was relaxing and conveniently located off of horizon and arroyo grande. They offered beer and wine upon request. My husband definitely enjoyed his Corona while get his toe nails trimmed. With a name like "Glitz Nails" especially in the city of Las Vegas, one would expect over the top shimmering, sparkling decor. However, at Glitz Nail Lounge they have a new school approach to the term. While the location wasn't difficult to find via GPS, I wouldn't have known it existed if someone hadn't told me about the spot. There isn't any large signage on the road side, and admittedly, I've driven past this spot countless times over the past two years completely oblivious to the business. Glitz is a very well hidden gem. The esthetic inside is clean and minimal, with only a few small sparkling chandeliers to its name sake. There are eight pedicure massage chairs. Four on each side that face each other and 11 manicure stations. There are four tv's, two on opposite walls. The music playing in the background was loud enough to hear, but soft enough to be able to carry on a conversation comfortably. The color selections aren't easily accessible and that would be my biggest complaint. I arrived to the salon close to opening and had about a ten minute wait. It would have been nice to have used that time to pick out my colors and help speed the rest of the process along. The massage chair was absolutely amazing, and honestly, is the reason I even get pedicures. Seriously, this chair rivaled a professional massage. My technician, Candy, offered me a beverage as soon as I was served. She was polite, professional, and engaged in conversation throughout the service. I went with the $60 Jelly Pedi, which promised to be the epitome of relaxation for tired and achy muscles. What I didn't realize when I picked this option was that I would be putting my feet into a literal vat of "jelly". Whatever the product was she put into the basin turned the water into a jelly like substance that I got to squish between my toes. It was quite the sensation. After the jelly squishing, she placed my feet in paraffin wax, gave me the most relaxing leg massage, then wrapped my legs in hot towels while massaging my feet after removing the wax. The pièce de résistance was the hot stone massage at the end of the treatment. I was so utterly relaxed by the time she started painting my nails I could have fallen asleep in the chair. Calling it the ultimate relaxation pedicure was on point. My manicure was a standard gel mani, but the attention to detail was top notch. Candy made sure I liked everything about my manicure before proceeding. All told I paid $100, without tip. They even have a punch card system where on your tenth visit you get $15 off your service. I will definitely be heading back next time. read more

Go to Gina!!! She's the best. I tried this salon and went to Gina. A couple times, I had to visit the salon on short notice. I ended up with other nail techs. Needless to say, they weren't Gina. Gina was attentive, careful, and left you feeling pampered. My nails looked perfect when she took care of them. I would return to her. The other two nail techs I tried in this salon scraped and filed down my nail bed claiming I had hard gel, or simply left my nail bed feeling weak. The gel also felt bumpy another time. I wanted to go back here for Gina, but I had such a bad experience with the other techs that I will not be returning. I found a different salon now and I just want anyone who visits Glitz to know you really have to choose your tech carefully and stick with them here. I wanted a place where the staff are consistently good! I want to give 5 stars for Gina, but I'd give the other techs a 1-2 star review if I could. I give a 4 overall for this reason. read more

Candy gave my an awesome pedicure!! Ben was awesome at shaping my nails but then we switched to Eric who did my designs to finish up cause it got a little busy. But my nails looked bomb. My pedicure was really good she did a nice massage which really makes me want to come back to her. They were very customer service driven and had water, soda. Nice massage chairs. This was my first time here at this shop and not only was it convenient to get to but the staff was very nice and accommodating. I chose the jelly pedicure and loved the feeling of it.
