However, only the top lashes were done, and the final result looked quite different from the reference photo. Initially, I believed the lashes themselves were poor quality because they felt stiff, bent in an unusual way, and caused significant irritation. After posting this review, the owner reached out and explained that it's possible my irritation was caused by the type of glue used rather than the lashes themselves. Regardless of the cause, my eyes were very irritated throughout the experience, and I've never had that reaction after years of getting lash extensions. I also have photos showing how some of the extensions bent in an unusual way. At the end of the appointment, I was only given a single spoolie. Based on other customers' reviews, I expected the aftercare kit that many people received. I also wasn't given any instructions on how to clean or care for my lashes. Unfortunately, the retention was also very poor. In less than a week, all of my lash extensions had fallen off. I've never had that happen before, so I was very surprised and disappointed with the longevity of the application. Before posting this review, I reached out to the salon to share my concerns. They apologized and offered me a small discount to come back so they could add longer lashes and the bottom lashes that were originally requested. While I appreciated the offer, I didn't feel comfortable returning because of the discomfort I experienced and the poor retention. There was also one part of the experience that made me feel uncomfortable. During my appointment, I noticed three people gathered around me and speaking in Mandarin. I am still learning Mandarin, so it's entirely possible I misunderstood or misheard parts of the conversation, and I don't want to make assumptions. However, at the time I felt like they were discussing me, which left me feeling uneasy. After this review was posted, the owner explained that one of the individuals was actually a student being trained, which is why multiple people were involved. I appreciate the clarification, but I do wish I had been informed beforehand that my appointment would be used as part of a training session so I could have decided whether I was comfortable with that. I truly appreciate that the owner and Amy personally reached out after my review, explained that the irritation may have been related to the adhesive, clarified the training situation, and apologized for my experience.

The hydrofacial itself was so amazing she started off with giving me a massage. It honestly felt like lymphatic drainage for my face because I do gua sha at home. Then she brought out a steam machine and some cold roller thing. And she used a machine that felt like water was squirting into my face with air but my face didn't feel wet. So really only got a 75min service, not 90 minutes. She wasn't the happiest about the groupon price, as many providers tend to not be, but that's kind of the whole point of listing your business on an advertising site? Still paid her the matching price on groupon instead of actually going through groupon. She recommended that I do something somewhat different and said that she would do an extra deep clean/hydrofacial on me since I had acne. The service was decent. The cleansing was extremely mild and not deep in comparison to many places I've been or maybe my skin just wasn't that bad this time. No extractions, just exfoliation. She gives little massages throughout the service on your scalp, arms, shoulder, neck and so on. I really wish I got more in the face, hence facial. Her space is located in Sola Salons which is surrounded by dozens of other Suites. Wood floors so unfortunately not the most relaxing because you can hear noise from all the surrounding Studios.
