I can say without a doubt that it was the smoothest auto rental experience I've had in a very long time (Yes, that includes being a President's Circle member at Hertz!). Charlie and his team were very accommodating with regards to schedule and timing, and the vehicle certainly didn't disappoint! I'm actually writing an updated review because this company proved without a doubt that customer service is key to their business. An unfortunate series of events (out of my control and the company's) left me with a canceled reservation about a week prior to a special event. Soon thereafter, I received a call to try and set things right, even though my initial reservation was only for a relatively inexpensive BMW 750iL...chump-change compared to some of the high-end exotics they offer. It's great to see this level of customer service, especially considering they hadn't even gotten any of my money. Even though the original issue wasn't by any fault of theirs, they still took responsibility for making me happy. I have rented the Maserati and so far my experience with customer service and the car I have rented has been great!! Charlie has been working extremely well with my changing schedule and has been professional and flexible. Great sign for a sales person. This is the kind of service that would make me come back. Wasn't a great experience. I "secured" an appointment online for Porsche but had to wait for someone to reach out to confirm. Days went by and finally someone called me. Claiming they called the day I made the appt. Wasn't the case... By that time I already secured a car with another. The gentleman asked me who I went with and proceeded to trash talk to the competition. Shouldn't really talk since you can't even fulfill a service you apparently have trouble with... second time I've tried with them. Learned my lesson. Never again. A group a chimps can run an exotic rental place better than this sad outfit. read more

I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a Porsche Boxster rental for his birthday. Global was outstanding, responding to my email inquiry within the hour and getting everything set up for the rental only two days in advance! It worked where I was the primary renter and I added him as a second driver (so I wouldn't need to ask him for his information and ruin the surprise). All they needed from him was his license number, exp. date and car insurance info which they were able to take the day of. The process was flawless -- they dropped it off for free and we were driving with the top down 20 minutes later. We had 100 miles included and thought we would go over and I was prepared to spend the 75¢ per extra mile but we were under, and we drove it everywhere! (all the way up Sheridan road and back to the south end of LSD). We had it ready to return with a full tank for Global to pick it up again the next day. I asked what to do if the weather was bad on our rental day and they said I had a year to use the credit if we had to cancel. I would definitely rent from them again! (if my boyfriend weren't already shopping for his own Porsche). read more

In regards to my last review I wanted to give an update. Being in sales and customer service I understand that mistakes do happen. They didn't have my correct email address and this is a busy season. However once I received a call from the company we got the miscommunication squared away. I was personally impressed with Charlie's (not a frat boy haha) professionalism and follow up. I surprised my husband with a Ferrari rental for the weekend and I must say it was one of the best gifts I got him. I worked with Moe, who was fantastic during the whole process. He helped plan the surprise. He setup to have the car delivered in the morning and when my husband walked out the car was waiting for him with a huge bow-tie on the car. . Rented the Corvette c7 Stingray z51 from Global Exotic last weekend. The entire rental was a really fantastic experience. Charlie walked me through to make sure that I knew all of the car's features, and he even took it through the car wash and filled it with gas himself before handing me the keys. He was very flexible about picking the car up and dropping it off, and was very easy to reach by phone whenever I had questions during the rental process. Rented a C7 Corvette Stingray back in January during the end of the holiday rush. The rental experience was excellent from start to finish. They accommodated my crazy schedule and even honored my same day rental rate. Very detail oriented and customer service oriented. There was a little bit of a miscommunication about the timing of my return due to my departing flight but they patiently walked me through the entire process over the phone with as little hassle as possible with very little delay. Rented a Lamborghini for my brothers wedding. I didn't even know these things existed, where you could rent exotic cars. Great selection of cars that I always wanted to drive. I wish I knew about this place sooner. I would've been the cool kid on the block. The Service was great. I'm very disappointed in this business and wield not recommend it to anyone. I own a high fitness company and deal with executives and well respected people.. I rented a Maserati from them for 3 days and asked the guy who helped me if they could charge my business credit card for the rental but charge the security deposit on my credit card. It didn't happen. When I called to remind them, not only I was belittled but Charlie (supposed to be the manager) was yelling on the phone. Secondly the car when we returned it had no damages as it was checked in. They email me 2 days later letting me know that the car had curb rash and charged my card for an additional $500 on top of the Thousands of dollars I'd already paid. When I called to express my disappointment the manager proceeded to argue and yell over the phone. Unprofessional. I'd stay away from them. I won't be surprised if there's some kind of scam going on with the damages. These guys are a joke and I won't be surprised if they're out of business in a few years. read more

First let me start by saying this is the worst company that I have ever did business with in my entire life. The previous review that stated that Charles (the person I spoke with about my rental) was extremely rude was correct!!!!!! Believe me I would not waste my time with this review and lie because I was not please at all with my service and I told Charles this and he didn't try AT ALL to fix the problem. He was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and rude to the point that he hung up the phone on me several times and stated that he would cancel my reservation. I wanted to rent the Maserati for two days. My daughter was going on prom and I told Charles that we would drive her to prom. His exact words were that he doubts that I would stay at the prom and he would send someone to pick the car up if I wasn't there and take my 4,000 deposit as well. He also stated it was a two door and we would not fit in the car. I intially told him that I wanted the car for another reason but I wasn't use to a rental place asking me where I would take the car and I'm paying a daily price to use it. We had all the credentials and he called me on the day of that I was suppose to pick up the car and stated my insurance person told him that we would take the car to prom and he stated he had to think about letting us have the car. He stated he would know everywhere we would be in the car cause he has a GPS on the car so now he is watching me. I asked him was the car under business insurance and it shouldn't matter where we wanted to take the car as long as it was in Chicago. I told him that I wouldn't harm the car. He kept saying that my daughter and date couldn't drive the car on prom. I told him I would drive and he didn't believe me. He said he would send and email for confirmation of purchase but I still didn't receive it. Did I stress the fact that Charles is EXTREMELY rude and doesn't try to please his customers in no way shape nor form. He asked me several times did I have the deposit and if I didn't have it by a certain time he would move on to the next reservation. He never tried to help me on such and important day for my daughter. I WAS CRYING and this man had the coldest heart ever and he made me feel as if he was talking down to me as if I were a dog. He literally told me to call whomever and make an compliant because it was ok with him and I'm not lying. Charles will be the reason this business will suffer! Charles I thank you for everything you did because we went to another rental company and was treated with so much respect! I saved at least $4,500 at the other place and wasn't asked one time where we were going in the car. I drove my daughter and her date to prom in the new car which was a BMW and the event still turned out great. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Charles was so rude and inconsiderate about my situation that I was so hurt and disappointed. He kept making assumptions about me saying your just upset right and I told him I'm only upset with the way you've treated me through the process of renting this car. We had the daily rental rate paid and we had the deposit yet he was still bitching. He never wanted us to use the car in the first place. I say it was a blessing in disguise because he probably would have charged a fee like he did with someone else and charged $500 or $1000 dollars over something petty stating it was damage. Hamish G. was spot on with his review. Charles was argumentative and should not have a job dealing with different ethic backgrounds. He was mean to me from the beginning and I told him that. He just said no I'm not and that was it. RUDE RUDE RUDE CHARLES WAS EXTREMELY RUDE. WITHOUT QUESTION and HANDS DOWN do not waste your time renting from a company that seems so unprofessional. Although they may have great cars in the end you will regret every dealing with this company. I told Charles that I would report him to the BBB and he didn't care. Please don't let anyone think this review is fake because this was my TRUE experience with this company. No one should be treated the way that Charles treated me and this is a warning that all good things are not good for you especially when someone doesn't no how to treat customers. Charles told me this is a family company and they are not like other rental company. And I wanted to say Thank God that you are not. No one should be treated like shit when they are paying for service. The cars at Global are not worth renting and your money would be put to better use elsewhere! I wish I could give no stars because thats what Charles deserves. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I reserved a Range Rover for a special weekend trip. The day before it was to be delivered, Charlie called me to say that in fact, the car I'd reserved a week earlier was not actually available and tried to put me in a different car. He wasn't the least bit apologetic, probably because it was his plan all along. I would not deal with them again under any circumstances. I am HIGHLY disappointed with their customer service. I tried to give them my hard earned money to rent a vehicle for my wedding day. I wanted to surprise my future wife with a exotic car. I did everything that was asked of me by the website (CC#, Auto Insurance, etc.) 24 hours they will get back with you when you submit a reservation, right? A month and a few days later I have still yet to receive a phone call. I mean if there is something not right or I don't meet the criteria of rental. By all means let me know.
