If you're thinking about hiring this company, please read my experience first. My refrigerator was not cooling properly and had heavy ice buildup on the freezer coils. I completely thawed it myself, and it worked for about a week before the same problem came back. I contacted a few repair companies, and this one responded first. The technician arrived quickly. After I explained the issue, he went outside and spent a long time next to his car looking at his phone. After about 20 minutes, he came back and explained there were three possible causes: maintenance, a bad defrost heater, or a bad control board. He confirmed the refrigerator was only 4 years old and still had plenty of life left. He recommended "maintenance" and told me he was about 95% confident it would solve the problem. The work was simply removing the ice from the evaporator coils with a steam cleaner. I reminded him that I had already thawed the refrigerator myself and that it did not fix the issue, but he reassured me again. I trusted his recommendation and paid $350. Before he left, I asked what would happen if this did not solve the problem. I was told the next step would be replacing the heating element. Replacing the refrigerator was never mentioned. And of course, the "repair" did not work. About a week later, the same problem came back. I contacted the company and was told they would get back to me with a solution. Couple of days later, I was told the defrost heater was temporarily out of stock and could take 4-6 weeks to restock. They then recommended not investing more money into the refrigerator and suggested buying a new one because of July 4th sales. I couldn't believe what I am reading! I even found the defrost heater on the official manufacturer website, listed as in stock and ready to ship. The company offered that I could purchase the part myself and they would install it for an additional $200 labor charge, but they would not provide any warranty for the customer-supplied part or the repair. The customer service experience afterward was also disappointing. Instead of addressing my concerns, I repeatedly received the same explanation about company policy and approved estimates. After several messages back and forth, I explained that I felt a partial refund was a fair resolution since the service did not fix the problem and no actual repair was completed, and they refused. I then decided to investigate the issue myself. With a simple Google search and a couple of YouTube videos, I found that the refrigerator has a built-in diagnostic mode. I went through the tests, and when I activated the defrost mode, the heater immediately turned red hot and melted the ice buildup within seconds. Since then, the refrigerator has been working exactly as it should without replacing the heater, control board, or any other parts. It made me seriously question the diagnosis and the recommendation that additional repairs or a replacement refrigerator were needed. A few days later, they offered me a $90 refund if I removed my review. They did not realize that I had not posted any review at that time. When I asked to speak directly with the manager to discuss the situation, that request was declined. And here is the review! I paid $350 for a service that did not solve the problem, and I do not feel my concerns were taken seriously. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. read more

This company is a scam, beware!!!! They came out on a Sunday afternoon, that's great, told us the problem with the washing machine was a spin sensor and it would take a few days for the part to come in. Took $210 from us. We waited a week, they finally came back, were there for less than 20 min to tell us the problem is bigger than just the sensor and it would be too expensive to fix. Ok, if that's the case then fine but when we asked about a refund of some of the money they took from us they said no that was for part restocking fees and labor. I'm totally fine with the $85 call fee and $20-$30 to restock a part but ZERO labor was done. It is criminal that they kept all our money and did nothing!!! So now I'm already out $210 and still have no washing machine!!! SO do I can a better repair company and risk sinking more money into this or just cut my losses and buy a new machine?!?! Either way the practices of this company are unethical and predatory!!! Stay away!!!! read more

back again, i had to call another company to see what globo had screw up after the disassembled my stove top and oven. found out they didn't reassemble the oven correctly. now i had no problem with the range or the oven until globo technician screwed it up. found out global technician didnt did not connect the power wire they has taken apart, for what reason they couldnt tell me. same reason they didnt relite my hot water tank after turning the gas off. read more

Very disappointed after reading all the great reviews that my experience was the exact opposite. The technician did come out promptly and gave me confidence that he identified the problem and would comeback with the part within a week to repair it. After months of communicating with the owner, they claim they were unable to get a replacement part, wouldn't give me the part number so I could attempt to source one myself and claimed they wouldn't install a part unless they personally sourced it. So with no option and nothing but false promises, I'm forced to give them a 1 star. As an Elite Yelper, I try not to give such negative scores and reviews as I believe in supporting small business but this one I can't standby. Give them a chance if you want to gamble... hopefully they'll be able to fix your appliance but my personal experience is they are not able to fix Viking appliances or Microwaves. read more

WARNING! DO NOT USE. I highly recommend finding another company as they take part in VERY deceptive pricing practices for their replacement parts, charging you substantially more for OEM parts and then installing cheap generic parts you can find online for 1/10th the price. I used them to repair my Samsung Oven. They came out same day. Technician was polite, clean, and did a good job. The labor price was a little high, but I was ok with that because of the above mentioned reasons. No complaints on the technician or his work at this point. The part I needed, a new Samsung OEM igniter, was being shown to me as $209 on "Sears Parts Direct" however every other website, including Amazon, shows the exact part for $65 or less. After finally agreeing to the install, I asked for my old broken piece and the box from the new one. I found that the new igniter they gave me was a generic universal Coorstek 501A igniter, which is everywhere for $20, not the Samsung part they showed and quoted me. When I called them to ask about it, the lady said they used a universal igniter and it would work no problem. So she confirmed it was a universal igniter and not the Samsung OEM part that was shown to me that costs $209 on "Sears Parts Direct." She then tried walking it back when I said my concern was about the price, not whether it would work. When I brought up the sticker that was left behind on the box of the replacement part that showed "Coorstek 501A," Which is a universal igniter, she said that would have been from the one that was broken and not my new one that they installed. So this sticker on the box, that looks brand new, is from my old igniter that has been in an oven for 6 years. I reached out to Samsung and they verified that my oven Model did not come with the Coorstek 501A igniter, but they do work as a replacement. So the sticker could have only been there from them using it as the replacement part. Long story short, they showed and quoted me a Samsung OEM igniter that was $209, and told me I was getting a deal by "only being charged $150 for it," and they ended up giving me a $20 universal igniter. Completely unacceptable. If they did it to me, I assume they do it to everyone they can. After calling and texting Globo Help about this issue, the person became hostile/angry and said I was lying. read more

Man that came had limited English, while that was not a big deal to me when I tried to ask a question he did not answer and the 1 question he did answer was very cavalier and arrogant. My machine needed the seal, had to wait for part and it was wrong size. Had to be reordered. On both occasions we called the company to find out when they were coming to finish the job. In total it took over 2 weeks to complete job. On the second visit, the repair person broke my front panel at the point were screws were located and a sizable Crack was made. He never apologized only tried to put blame on age of machine. Would not recommend. I would give zero stars if possible. read more

I had globo help troubleshoot and replace a gas oven igniter. They quoted me $300 repair for parts and labor. When I asked them what the life expectancy of these parts is. They said 5-10 years depending on how much I use the oven, which made sense since this oven is about 8 year old. So I figured $300 was worth it if I don't have to buy a new oven again. Their igniter died two and half months later.... I called back to see what could be done about this issue. Their answer was "we can give you a $10 discount ... " and " it not their problem because they are not a manufacturer". I would think twice before paying these guys. Now I am $300 short and I still have to find someone that stands behind their product and services :( Just a heads up for anyone who is looking to use these guys, you'll end up being on your own once you pay them and they leave your house. read more

Don't recommend this business!!!!! I had my dishwasher serviced by Globo company on 8/21. My dishwasher door wouldn't close thought it had something to do with the door switch. The service tech changed a part which had nothing to do with the issue I was having with the door not closing. Somehow he was able to get the door closed without changing any parts. The dishwasher was working that day of the repair. I was charged $275 on 8/21/23. Last Monday, I was experiencing the same issues with the door not closing. I called the office and spoke to a woman (don't know her name) explain the issue and she let me know it would cost me an additional $165 to send a tech over to look at it, or I can just order the part and install it myself. I ordered the correct switch and had someone else install the part. Turns out the issue has nothing to do with the switch. The level (bottom left side) needed to be replaced. The door wasn't aligned which prevented the door from closing. The tech should've seen that and took the time to fix it. He did a crappy patch up job and it cost me $275. When I called they told me to buy a part which had nothing to do with the issue. To make matters worse, they want to charge me more money to come look at it again and telling me I should order parts that aren't even damaged to begin with!!?? I don't think it is fair they took my money and left me with a damaged dishwasher. If they could not fix this issue, you shouldn't take my money. An inspection fee is totally understandable! I emailed my concerns to them and they replied placing blame on me and I damaged a rusty bolt. It was rusty and corroded not manually damaged by me. This woman was very arrogant and talking down to me. Save your money and all your frustration and pick an honest person who does quality work. These people are crooks they come to your house don't fix anything and they take your money and when you call them to let them know, the issue hasn't been fixed. They want to charge more. read more

Do not use this company. We hired them for oven repair to fix an issue where numbers on the key pad were not working. They failed to fix the issue, and the problem recurred within weeks. Upon asking them to rectify the issue, they made clear that they do not guarantee any of their work beyond 30 days! Because we were beyond the 30 day limit, they refused any accommodation beyond a $10 discount on a new service call to provide a new quote. All of this is particularly unbelievable because we did call them within the initial 30 days about the issue...we just did not ultimately have them out within 30 days when the keypad started working again temporarily. read more

I urge you to avoid this business at all costs. They are dishonest. They'll charge you a "diagnostic fee" of $75 and then tell you they need to order additional parts, but to do that they need an additional $150 deposit. They'll only accept cash or zelle of course. Then they'll come back and tell you that actually they misdiagnosed the issue and can't fix the problem, but don't worry they'll keep your money. Look, I understand not all problems are fixable and sometimes the initial diagnosis isn't correct. But the right approach isn't to keep the money and run away. These guys would rather pocket $225 than work with their customer to find an amicable solution. Please, please, please avoid these guys at all costs. Most contractors I've found and used on Yelp have been great but quite frankly I've never felt as ripped off as I have with these guys. read more

As is my luck, the appliances at our home keep fizzling out. Last weekend, I tackled some overgrown weeds (complete with hundreds of burrs that I struggled to get off!) and threw my dirty clothes and boots into the washer. OF COURSE, it stopped working and wouldn't finish a cycle. I figured that either my heavy boots imbalanced the washer, or that the burrs clogged the pipe, since it wouldn't drain and was throwing two codes (one of which was F21/"unable to drain properly"). I tried switching cycles to a rinse/spin to no avail. Once, when I tried bypassing the cycle, water poured out of the washer. Obviously I needed help. I reached out to GLOBO Help and a few other companies to see if I could get an appointment. Luckily, they (all of them, really) responded super quickly. GLOBO Help was able to schedule me in a time frame that worked for me, which happened to be three evenings later a Friday between 5-7pm. Gena from GLOBO Help arrived on time, did a quick assessment, and determined that the washer pump needed to be replaced. He indicated that, if he didn't have a replacement part available in his truck, that it would take 2-3 days to have one ordered and he could come back and replace it. Luckily he had the part! In terms of price, he showed me the cost online ($150), but charged me a cheaper rate ($95 + tax I believe it was). In under an hour, my washer was fixed and my bill was only $264. I was so incredibly relieved to not only have paid a very fair price, but that Gena and GLOBO Help ensured that I didn't have to replace the whole washer!!! Highly recommended: I would be happy to use them again (and given the state of my other old appliances, I might be booking them again in the future). read more

I have never had to get a refrigerator repaired, but this one died completely out of nowhere. My first experience was with another company that had horrendous customer service and was a no-show, so I was dreading a Round 2. The customer service lady that I spoke with was an absolute delight. She was professional, gave a detailed response, called and texted to let me know when the tech was on his way (he came earlier than expected but I missed the call), and it was a very efficient process. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars was because the tech (Sam) wasn't the friendliest guy in the world. My dog kept barking at him at first, which I finally got tired of and took her outside for a walk. (Yeah, I realize that's a lot of trust to leave a random tech in your home, but the Yelp ratings made me cross my fingers and hope they're trustworthy.) He was honest and told me that repairs for my current fridge would cost hundreds of dollars more than getting a new one, and I respect that he did that instead of trying to convince me to spend more money for the same problem to happen a year from now. But then I had to ask him to write down what he said. He just handed me a bill to be paid for the examination, but I had no record of what went wrong. Once I asked him to do it, he wrote a short note to appease me and promptly left. My dog stopped barking as soon as he walked out the door. The tech took my phone and submitted a 5 star review on Google on my behalf at the end of the service. I was happy with the service and how quick they came to my house and likely would have given a 5 star review, until the end of the service when the tech asked if he could see my phone to show me where I could review the company. When he gave me my phone back and I asked what he he had done, he said he submitted a 5 star review on my behalf. When I told him that I did not agree to that and it made me very uncomfortable, he told me he needed the 5 star review and basically ran out my front door. I went in and deleted the review and contacted the company about the dishonest behavior. He said he didn't have the part he needed and it would take 3 weeks, and he wanted almost $500 up front then $195 when he comes back. Anyway we used GLOBO Help a year ago for our dryer and I don't know why I didn't just call them first. The tech came out today and took off a panel where a fan was covered in ice. Tech came out to look at an old beverage cooler I had acquired that hadn't been used in years. He opened a panel, saw a fan that was struggling to rotate properly. He said the fan is shot and it would cost too much to fix. Spent all of five minutes and charged $69. After he left I got the fan working with no problem. Still not cooling...could be a refrigerant or compressor issue. He didn't even bother to find out. read more

Charged to fix an appliance - appliance didn't work as expected. Technician came back out the a few days later (disassembled and reassembled the dishwasher without replacing anything) and it worked just fine. Of course they charged a second service call fee. Then when they confirmed we could run it properly before paying the fee, they auto charged the credit card (with a 3.5% surcharge) without my authorization. I then paid via Zelle (and they refused to refund the card). Terrible way to run a business, the subcontractor they did use was helpful and nice - but the business is just greedy. read more

I hired GLOBO to repair the Drum Belt and Idler Pulley on my Samsung dryer. The technician Gena did a fine job but he charged me over QUADRUPLE the retail price for the parts.
