    Breakfast Burrito
    Andrew R.

Food: Awesome chorizo breakfast burrito. Authentic, not all the silly hash brown games these white-washed places like doing. I will be coming back to Gloria's. I absolutely despise Rose's Cafe down the street, Service: great. Ambiance: feels lowkey and out of the way. Not a bad thing. Very chill spot.

Great beef burritos- shredded tender beef, flavorful red sauce, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, rice, lettuce - a huge dinner burrito!

A great place, wonderful traditional shredded beef burrito ... made like their was no such thing as the Chipotle... I like them too but 40 choices is a bit excessive for one burrito... (sorry I digress)... Gloria's is clean, fast, friendly, and the food was very good. It has 8 tables located in a strip mall, one table with a big window. We went early on a Friday, it was slow, quiet- no dinner rush yet. Burritos- The beef was tender, sauce was really good. The perfect amount of rice, beans, sauce, lettuce, cream & guac. It was not Full of sour cream, brown rice, cheese, jalapeños, ghost peppers but rather a lovely traditional burrito. Thanks, I loved it.

Small but very clean. Lots of tables.

A place to eat great food! Enjoy a classic burrito, enchiladas, tacos and more. Get it made the way you want- prepared just as requested. Tender meat, great sauce, feels like it was Abuela's recipe! Good food, large portions, made fresh for You. Lots of TO-GO orders, or stay here, this restaurant has several tables and is clean and well-kept. Good service, friendly place.

Nice small spot off Saratoga Ave. During my visit I did a quick take out. I ordered the shrimp tacos. Shrimp was perfectly cooked but the beans on the taco threw me off.

Birria tacos con consomé, chips and salsa, and a refreshing Squirt.

I've drove by here several times in my lifetime and never noticed this little joint. It's definitely a small hole on the wall type of restaurant. I decided to see what was around here since I'm currently waiting for my tattoo artist to let me know he's ready to see me, and walked (came) across this place. I ordered the birria tacos w/carne de res with a side of consomé, a refreshing Squirt, and received a complimentary side of chips and salsa... let me just say that they had a sign that stated they weren't giving them out anymore! The plating presentation looked great. I was excited when I saw the color of the consomé! Some places tend to not put spices which makes it look like it's lacking something/flavor! I totally recommend this dish. The meat was perfect in texture and flavor, as well as the consomé. I wasn't a big fan of the tortillas, given that they were already soft/soggy when I received my plate. They could have warmed it up a bit longer, on the toastier side... my opinion. Clearly can ask that next time as well. I didn't like the cheese on top of the tacos, but it wasn't a big deal nor a deal breaker. Chips were great and the salsa was perfectly spicy. The gentleman helping was really nice and helpful. Totally a ma and pa restaurant. Dined in and they were very kind and checked on me. Overal, I give this place four stars for the customer service, experience, and the food/drink. I would definitely come back and try something new! Gracias!

    Wet burrito al pastor
    Katrina V.

My friend placed a takeout order for our party of 7. A couple of people in our party had specific dietary needs (i.e. vegan and vegetarian/gluten-free). We had a pretty complicated phone order, but Gloria's Burritos assured us that they were able to make the proper modifications and accommodations with no problems. I tagged along with my friend for the pickup. Gloria's Burritos was a small mom's and pop's restaurant in the Maple Leaf Plaza off Saratoga Ave. I could see that the place was clean. Customers dining-in were loving their food, which all looked great. When we arrived about 18 min. after placing the phone order, the food was ready to go. My friend went through the list of food with the cashier, but my friend realized that she forgot to mention one of the burritos. The kitchen promptly made the forgotten burrito, which was no more than a 5-7 min wait. I tend to feel wary about large, complex phone orders. Something about the order has gone wrong from my experience like an item missing or an ingredient that was supposed to be removed. I was pretty impressed that every single order in our party was done accurately. I ordered the wet burrito al pastor with everything in it. I definitely got the best bang for my buck. The burrito was f'ing huge for $7.80, and I loved it. The al pastor was very flavorful, tender, and cooked well. I liked the ingredients inside my wet burrito. I especially enjoyed the sauteed onions, because they brought a touch of sweetness. In addition to the red sauce, there were guac and sour cream attributing to the wetness. Gloria's Burrito's hot sauce wasn't particularly spicy in my opinion, but I topped my wet burrito with it anyway for another layer of unique flavor.

I would suggest that the serve mention that when taking orders so we know. Just because it's at the very bottom of the menu I didn't notice it until I asked for a dessert menu. The food was so good! We had Mexican jambalaya, Carne asada plate, tacos Dorado, enchiladas with both sauces, parillada, enfrioladas (bean enchiladas) tacos de pescado, Don julio flight, multiple drinks and churros. The churros were really good although we wish there was a non filled ones too and to have the optionof if we wanted it dressed up because churros are already super sweet with the cinnamonand sugar dusted but caramel and whip cream was added along with a strawberry filling. We also ordered a tres leches cake but we didn't like the tres leches cake, it was too sweet, so sweet that we couldn't taste the filling which we assume was pineapple lol the color was yellow with pieces of fruit but we couldn't taste it. Overall the service was great and quick. I would definitely come back here.

Plenty of parking available since the restaurant is in a strip mall. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but then it started picking up. There was only one server working and she was really hustling to meet everyone's needs. Plus, she was friendly. I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Both of the desserts were so good and a perfect touch of sweetness.

They have seating out front inside and in the back, but the place was pretty full. Nonetheless, we were seated quickly as we had a reservation. It is a good idea to call ahead and make one. The prices are high, but hopefully all their people are making a good living and the portions are enough for our appetites at least. I had the shrimp enchiladas, and my wife had the vegetarian tacos with a side order of scrambled eggs. There was nearly a mixup as the waiter thought we wanted to order an egg taco and that's considerably more expensive but we got it straightened out with the maitre D. We also shared a Paloma cocktail with which has a pretty color and delightful taste.

We arrived at approximately 8:26 p.m. When we checked in, I specifically requested to be seated indoors. The host, a young man, informed us that the wait would be approximately 10-15 minutes. When our table was ready, however, we were seated outside despite my clear request to sit inside. Throughout this time, there appeared to be an available table indoors. Our server, Mariana, was courteous and attentive, greeting us within two minutes of being seated. We placed our appetizer order at approximately 8:29 p.m., but did not receive it until around 9:00 p.m., resulting in a wait of roughly 30 minutes. To Mariana's credit, she communicated that there was a delay in the kitchen and kept us informed. However, our main entrées did not arrive until approximately 9:27 p.m. I remained patient and understanding throughout the evening. Having worked as both a server and bartender during my undergraduate studies, I understand that delays can happen. Nevertheless, the length of the wait was excessive, particularly given the apparent lack of managerial intervention. The manager on duty appeared to be walking the floor but did not seem to address the situation or assist in resolving service delays. Overall, while our server provided professional service under difficult circumstances, the restaurant's seating management and food service times fell well below expectations.

This made it so seamless to reserve here. Our group got there at opening and our table was ready and most of the group was already seated when we got there. Drink orders were flowing as the waitress caught up to me and I got a cafe de olla. We browsed the menu and the more I looked the harder it was to pick one thing. I ended up choosing chilaquiles with a bandera sauce and carne asada as the added protein. The rest of the table got all different types of dishes from carne en su jugo to birria to omelettes. While we enjoyed each other's company sipping on our cafecito I enjoyed the ambiance of the space. Nicely decorated for the holidays. Since it was opening time it wasn't as loud as I imagine it can get in there. The sun did shine on the faces of those facing the windows which was not enjoyable for them. There was no way to cover the sun either since it was coming in from the top windows with no shade. My food came out along with the rest of the plates and we went right in to enjoy them. My favorite chilaquiles was covered in the white sauce. The red and green were good but the white sauce was my favorite. The carne was cooked well but I could taste it wasn't marinated or lacked flavor. I didn't get a knife to cut the meat so it was very difficult to enjoy a piece with my chilaquiles. It was hard to cut with a butter knife. I thought it would be a piece of steak but it was a piece of carne asada. Eggs were scrambled and cooked well. The whole plate was filling, had flavor, and was a good portion. The cafe de olla had a good flavor but a tad sweet for my preference. The space in here is a vibe. A fun place to enjoy large gatherings. I came for breakfast but will update when I come back to visit for dinner. Bathrooms are clean. Staff was welcoming and efficient in taking care of our group. Hospitality was a 10/10. Parking in the am was a breeze but at prime time I can see it being a complete nightmare so plan accordingly. I enjoyed my visit and will come back to check out the dinner menu.
