First time visiting Gloria's Mexican Restaurant #2 Monday April 28. Food was great, best sweet tea around as well as the horchata well above others we've had. The beef fajitas with corn tortillas and chalupas chicken are top notch and service good. But not having chips and salsa offered while we wait for our order caught us by surprise; the only time it's happened at local Mexican restaurants. Overall we rated it a 4/5 stars. The food in this place is great if you are a Mexican, I highly recommend this place to the Mexicans out there! The service is good they bring out your food in less than 1 minute, is good because they have TVs around the restaurant so that you can be entertain. I highly recommend this place! read more

I see a lot of complaints about it taking a long time for orders. It should show how great the food is when they're always very busy. It sucks that it gets busy and it takes longer but I would rather have great quality food instead of rushed food. People are so quick to judge and don't realize how hard these women work. I've been going here for about 8 years ish, maybe longer. They have always had amazing food and very nice and accommodating staff. They have the best refried beans by far and just great food in general. I have yet to find a place that's better. The staff work their butts off and usually are pretty good with not making errors. However it DOES get busy, which isn't their fault and they do the very best they can. Be a human being and be understanding, stop complaining and being disrespectful. It says more about you than it does them. read more

Negative 5 star. Don't know why we even came here again. We ordered our food for take out at 11:37am.... I went in at 11:50 and she said my food wasn't ready. I'm watching all these people leave with their fuckin food walking past me and yet here I'm at still here!!!! I got my food at 12:20pm!!!!! I said "next time your gonna have people waiting an hour , let them know" She had the nerve to say " it's cause we were busy before you got here" What sense does that even make ?? Great I've eaten more than my fair share of breakfast tacos, and there are lots of good ones to be had in New Braunfels but for me Gloria's has the overall best Mexican breakfast, breakfast tacos, lunch & salsa. For me it's very important to have a good combination of breakfast taco and salsa, some of the restaurants around have one of the other but very few have a good combination of both but Gloria's definitely fits that bill. It's definitely one of those hidden gems that if you don't travel between New Braunfels and seguin TX via 725 you probably wouldn't even know it existed. It's a tiny building next to a gas station and it would be very easy to pass by without even noticing but I definitely recommend searching this one out. I fill it necessary to mention that the dining room is tiny and not great for large groups, I would not recommend anything over 4 to 6 people. I would also like to mention that the tacos are fairly sizable and for the average person 2 is more than enough. My favorite taco at Gloria's "chorizo and potato" Pro tip: the salsa they put in the to go bags for taco orders is different from the salsa they put on the tables for the chips. The one they put on the table has a more pleasing taste and is much milder, we often ask to substitute for that salsa with our to go orders. -------------------------------------------------------- I realize I'm a food snob, I eat out regularly some weeks 3 to 4 times which in my opinion makes me a bit of an expert on food, service, quality etc. I say it how I see it and I usually will give restaurants at least three chances before I give up on them and in some cases after some time has past I revisit the restaurants to see if anything is changed and my reviews reflect that change. read more

This place looks horrible. You walk inside and the paint is crappy, the tables are wobbly. the regulars that come inside look suspicious, and none of that can keep me from coming here. I live 30min away and I still drive all the way over to get tacos every now and then. Don't let the appearance fool you, this place is solid gold. It's a bit out of the way for most people, but if you're ever in the area, I highly recommend coming here. read more

I always get the Potato/Egg/Cheese taco and is the best I've had. It starts with a super soft home made tortilla and adds generous portions of filling. I'm not local to the restaurant but I always see plenty of cars in the lot so must be popular. Every time I go a long time without a Gloria's taco fix I start salivating at the thought and have to go back. read more

Wow these tacos are some of the best tacos ever!! And sooooo cheap!! Went two times that's how good they are. First day had a egg, bacon, and potato taco and a machacada taco. Hubby had egg and chorizo and egg and bean tacos. The tortillas are so big and fluffy, handmade flour tortillas like my mom makes! The horchata is also delicious. Next time I'm in New Braunfauls will definitely stop here! read more

I've lived in this area for 26 years, and have tried many Mexican food restaurants. I must honestly say Gloria's has the best Mexican food. Their enchilada verde plate is the absolute BEST. If you like menudo, they also have the best menudo I've ever had. Their bacon is crispy, and not soggy. Their refried beans and rice are fantastic also. :) read more

This is our go-to place for breakfast. They have a very friendly waitstaff, the prices are low, and the food is delicious. If there is a mistake with your order, they fix it quickly. We always make sure to order chips and salsa, even for breakfast, it is so good. My kids, who hate going out to eat, even love coming here. I don't eat meat or dairy, and I always leave full. One of the best places to get mexican food period. Everything here is cooked fresh and you can taste the authenticity in each dish. Be prepared to get extremely full, this place doesn't go light on the taco fillings. read more
