I'm so glad we chose this place! 5.00 appetizers after 9 pm make this a great late-night meal place, and they had a great Blue Moon Pumpkin ale in the bottle. I'm sorry to say that we will no longer dine at Glory Days in Gainesville. This was our go-to place for a quick meal and to watch sports, close enough to walk to on a nice evening, but the service has increasingly deteriorated over the past couple. It goes beyond slow service into getting orders wrong, over cooking the food and just bad attitudes. Simple things like no cheese on a burger they get wrong, or when a burger is sent back because of cheese the burger comes back and you can see the reminents of the cheese on the bun (happened twice). Yesterday was our final visit. We arrived a few minutes past six and sat down right away. Ten minutes later the manager came around and said the server would be with us in a minute and he took our drink orders. Twenty minutes later I tracked down the manager to see if someone would take our food order and he took it, and by the way we had not received our drinks yet. In the mean time the bartender is talking it up with people, took the time to speak with someone she must have known, played with their baby on the bar, all while we were waiting on our drinks. Bottom line, it was a few minutes less than an hour when we received our food. There were three burgers, all were supposed to be medium rare. One came out medium, the others well done. One was suposed to be on sourdough and it came out with marble rye. On the poistive side, my Baymazing Crab & Grilled Chicken was great. read more

Don't get me wrong, I love barbecue, but this place just doesn't cut it. The barbecue tastes curiously bland, which makes me wonder just what their barbecuing procedures are. We tried this place several times, thinking we must have gotten the one bad dish, but everything we tried induced the same reaction: blech. Their sides are even worse. How can you screw up cornbread? And yet, they have the worst cornbread I have ever tasted. Their parsely red potatoes are simply boiled potatoes with a sprig of parsley put in. Haven't you guys ever heard of seasoning? Coleslaw is always a hit-or-miss affair with restaurants, and predictably, they miss by a long shot. Service is none too good either. The server staff consists mostly of young kids who appear completely unconcerned over the needs of the customers, and seemingly oblivious to any tie-in between good service and a good tip. I really can't say anything good about this place except the food isn't horrible, it just isn't up to par. And with such excellent alternatives, I don't know why anyone would bother with this place. read more

Ordered a to-go lunch order for myself and a few coworkers today. We came to pick it up and breaking up the orders into seperate checks for payment was a breeze and the food was prompt. They honored a Facebook promotion for free Slam Dunk Pretzels. We got back and discovered one of our ten items was missing. We called the restaurant and the woman immediately explained they had realized it as soon as we left. Perhaps taking down a phone number with the call would have been a good idea? But regardless, the way they handled this slip-up was fantastic. They had someone bring us our food so we didn't have to drive back up (big brownie points here). She also gave us a Free Appetizer card for the inconvience. All food was tasty, special orders were accomodated as requested, and very friendly customer service. read more

I've been to this location a few times and each time have had a pretty good experience. Most recently I went with a friend of mine for a late dinner (9PM). By this point many restaurants are in the closing mindset and service usually isn't great since everyone is just ready to be done with the day. Despite the late time and not a lot of customers (except for the bar), we were seated promptly and received excellent, friendly service the entire time. We got wings for an appetizer and I got the bacon cheeseburger as my meal. I've had the wings there before and they're usually very good. They were still good this time, but could have been cooked a little more well done. The burger was great! I really like the burger buns they use there. Overall, a good experience. read more

This location is good for dog owners who want to eat when they have their pets with them. They have an outdoor patio, and the waiters will bring your pup a bowl of water. This is also good for vegetarians. They've got a great veggie burger and their fries are great! read more

This was my very first time ever eating at this type of establishment and i was not disappointed. I was in the area visiting a friend and we decided to eat here. Very good choice! We were greeted by friendly staff at the front and we ended up sitting at the bar. The drinks were great and Karina was very attentive to us on a busy night. The food was delicious, I recommend the crab dip hands down and the overall atmosphere of this place is top notch. The manager Cate came to check on us and was very friendly. The GM Ms. Gels is doing a great job with her staff there and I can't wait to visit here again when I am in the area. Hands down my new favorite place! read more

Came in Monday night it was very busy! Even still was sat within 10 mins. Our server was Tina she seemed overwhelmed but the service was still A1! We came here because I local restaurant was on a huge wait so we decided to try this place out! Tina told us about the burger special that did not disappoint! An example of how other patrons can ruin a restaurant/bar experience....I went there after a day of wine tasting, sat at the bar for a beer or two and a burger, and there was a family sitting in the bar area that was loud, obnoxious and even rattled the bar tender's nerves ("they've been here since 2 and they're getting louder by the drink.") Can you say, "cut them off?" The wife/mother especially was loud and disruptive. And they had their young kids in tow. The noise level drowned out my experience there, and now that I know there's a Buffalo Wild Wings in Gainesville with Buzztime--I know where to go after a day of tasting. As for the food at Glory Days--mediocre. A notch below Bungalow. And that's not a good thing. read more

Don't waste your time coming to the Gainesville location. 1 out of 10 times is the food good. Today was the latest example of this. The chicken dip was cold, the grilled chicken dry, wings were under cooked and they can not make a frozen drink right to save there lives. This location is an embarrassment to the franchise. Went to celebrate Mother's Day. Was happy there wasn't a wait to be seated. However, after ordering our food (party of 6), we waited for close to an hour. We decided to leave. The manager came to apologize and said it was because they were "short staffed". That would have been believable if other patrons had to wait to. They have a nice variety of choices on the menu and I was having difficulty deciding what to get. Luckily for me they have a burger special on Mondays which made choosing what to get much easier. The burger was delicious and arrived exactly as ordered. They have a nice patio area which is covered so you are out of the direct sun but still enjoy the fresh air. Our waiter was very nice and checked in often enough to make sure we had everything we needed but not so often as to be a pest. I will definitely be back! read more

Came here on a Sunday and it was packed. That being said, everything was great. Service was fast and accurate and the food was perfect. We got 12 boneless wings (honey old bay and garlic buffalo) and two different burgers. Portions are huge and well worth the price. Burgers were cooked perfectly as well. We have visited other Glory Days locations and the food is always excellent. The Gainesville location is no exception, but what stood out on our visit this time was the service. Dining out with 3 children can be challenging, especially with one who has a food allergy, but Karina A. was our server and she took great care of us! She was super knowledgable about the menu and ingredients (including whether they shared fryers and grills), so I didn't worry about what to order. She was also friendly and kept our drinks full! She also had a nearby TV changed to cartoons to keep the kids occupied while we waited. The kids' meals came out a few minutes before our food, so we were able to get their ketchup, silverware, and everything else situated before our food arrived. It was a relief and made for the most pleasant experience we have had dining out in a long time. Request her! Our delicious food included wings in glory sauce, mild buffalo sauce, and Louisiana-style (which I think is seasonal). read more

For years we ordered take out here. Nothing earth shattering but decent burgers and good nachos. Not uncommon to have minor glitches in our order so we always checked before we left. It got to the point that the burgers were always raw, completely indelible and unsafe, and the nachos was missing two or more things. The employees would argue when we tried to get the order correct. After 3-4 consecutive absolute disasters we finally gave up. Glitches happen. Raw meat is unacceptable (raw, not rare...and we always order well done to avoid), as is outright arguing with someone about it...multiple times. read more

Waited for food only to learn the order never got put in, then when we got it we had bbq sauce not the glory days sauce. Turned it away and did not order anything else. Used to have Coors light on draft but said it was company wide they removed it. Hmm I have been to two other Glory days in nearby area that have it. Can't stand liars. Not what we were used to and going from being regulars to not wanting to go at all, that is not good for business. I would say bypass this one and find something else nearby. read more

We had an awesome experience at the new Macon, Georgia location! The level of service and hospitality was outstanding. Our server, Nate, was very friendly, attentive and professional. The food was obviously made from scratch and cooked perfectly. We drove a couple of hours to pick up a credit card that we left there yesterday when we were traveling through. We were so relieved that Brian found it and turned it over to the manager, John, who kept it safe for us. John was so kind and took excellent care of us.
