The Lorton Glory Days Grill is the first restaurant that we went to as a family when we moved to the area. My husband and I commented on how friendly and attentive everyone was from our server to the manager. Jose made us feel especially welcome. We noticed him moving about the dining room talking to patrons and making sure that all were happy. Moreover, he remembered us when we returned the next time and every time after that. The food has been consistently wonderful and the staff consistently welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is always relaxed and it is just a great place to go and wind down while having a great meal. I use to love this place. I would literally come every week for burger Monday and taco Tuesday. The service WAS amazing. I even knew a few servers on a personal basis. They knew who I was and treated me like a queen and it was a great feeling. Then I went overseas for a little and I came back and my wonderful true blue glory days was ruined and my servers left. The service became very very slow. The servers forgetting your order. Just not enough attention to anything. I been giving the service so many tries and it's just not worth it anymore. After today was my grand finale. We had a party of 8. Four kids and four adults. First we ordered drinks and appetizers and the waitress was kind of trying to push my order for my kids on me first. Which I didn't even look at the menus so I told her to please bring our drinks and I will. So she came back I ordered the kids food. Then I told her when the appetizers come we will then order ours. To make it simple for her. The appetizers came they were excellent. Then we ordered our food. My kids got their food. Then everyone got their food except me. I just waited for a little thinking it should be there and told everyone to eat. Then 10 minutes goes by and I flag our waitress down and she tells me there was a mix up it will be out soon. I said ok great. Then 15 minutes goes by and almost everyone is done I go flag down a host and tell her where is the manager. During that time my food comes. The manager comes up to the table right after. I tell her what happened. Then she tells me I don't see what the problem is??! Excuse me ?? I told her my whole table is done and ready to leave and I just got my food. She also told me there was no mixup the waitress told her that the kitchen just took longer. So that meant our waitress was lying to her or me. I was really upset at that point because this manager was acting like her employee did nothing wrong and I was the one lying. I told her I love this place but I'm not happy with the service. She gave me my meal for free but still that's not the point it's the fact her attitude sucked and so did the service. I'm never coming again. I usually never write chapters in yelp but I'm just pretty disappointed. read more

The atmosphere and experience here was quite exceptional. The staff were very friendly and on top of everything our food was great. I ordered the glory days burger, and everything came out perfect. I finally tried Glory Days Grill a few months ago. I typically do take out without any issues. I appreciate the separate entrance to pick up take out orders. It's some what of a pain to call to place an order because you call the main number and then a transfer is made to the take out area. It would be better if they had a take out only number. The shopping strip lost power this weekend. I went to pick up my order and was told the power was out and the restaurant had to close. No problem, it happens and Glory Days does not control the power grid. It does, however, control how it responds to customers. I asked why I was not called to let me know about the situation. A quick phone call would have saved me and others the inconvenience of driving to the restaurant. We could have quickly made other plans. I watched people continue to show up to Glory Days to pick up their orders, only to be told of the problem. We provide a phone # when placing an order, so why no phone call? The staff apologized and offered to let me speak with the manager to see if he would provide some type of compensation for the inconvenience. I saw the manager tell his staff that he would not speak with me. I don't know the nature of the conversation, but as a customer I was disheartened by his response. I get it; he was dealing with an unexpected situation. Management should work out a procedure for handling disruptions and never refuse to speak with customers. read more

I was heading back to Maryland after an event in Woodbridge, VA. Originally, I was going to IHOP but found Glory Days Grill instead and decided to try it since I'd never been before. Based on a quick review of the other reviews given, it appears that slow and not-so-good customer service is a trend. I could deal with waiting a few minutes waiting to be seated. But when the waiter doesn't acknowledge you with common courtesies and does not take the time to respectfully serve you, that's a problem. It's an even greater problem when the waiter takes more interest in a Cowboys fan (the waiter wore his GB Packers cap), while I'm waiting for my receipt. And even after I paid and was kind enough to leave a tip, he didn't say "thank you...come again...have a good day." The food was good but I won't be coming back for poor service. read more

Second time ordering from this location and my meal was terrible. They told me the burger would be ready for pick up in 15-20 minutes. I got there 30 minutes later and the meal was not ready, 10 minutes into waiting they finally brought the meal. I was in a rush and did not bother checking the meal. This is my second visit to this location while on business near by. I think the food has good flavor. My husband got the gridiron sandwich and I got the braised Short rib fettuccine & mushrooms. Both had good flavor. For me the portion was large, so I took my left overs. Anyone near by this is an easy place to find something to eat. I come here often. Normally I have a good experience but lately that hasn't been the case. Last Friday my friends and and I met up with each other for dinner and the manager kicked us out of the booth. The first time this happened it was understandable because we came in when the rest of the party we were with had already ordered food (It would be like recycling a table) so we made a reservation for the half of the party that came late and waited until called. Once called the waitress sat us down and once again the manager kicked us out telling us there were parties ahead of us, even though we were called up by the waitress AFTER getting a new booth. after this happened a second time (this time not our fault) we watched as another group of friends sat down at the booth. We decided to leave and go to another place to eat. About 5 minutes into getting there, the group who was seated after us came here too. They also were told the same thing and kicked out. Seems like an issue staff wise and not customer wise. Went back a week later and my order was wrong and a random drink was billed to my check. The half-price burger night is the night for me. Cheeseburger Trifecta (soooo much melted cheese) makes me feel happy, but my arteries feel sad. Totally worth is though. I always get that, sometimes with cheese fries. I've never been a fan of grilled onions, so getting them on the side is good. The ranch makes it all better. Their to-go service: The food is always good, but they always seem a bit slow when I come by to pick everything up. Late every time, and I often have to go looking for somebody for me to pay. Glory Days staff are honest people. I went on a Friday night with my parents for dinner. We sat in the bar area and Andrew, an African American with a red hat, was waiting on us. When we were finished I walked out to pull the car up for my parents and left my $200 ray ban sunglasses on the table. Yep, I'm a fan. I stopped in here on 11-22-2017 for a late lunch/early dinner. My server was Michael. The place was pretty crowded but I was seated pretty quickly. :) I ordered my usual drink, iced tea. Then I ordered a half Cobb salad with ranch dressing and the shrimp combo platter (half fried, half grilled), coleslaw and fries. Both the food and service were great!! My food was very flavorful, good portions, hot temperature and appropriately presented (meaning, not all at once). The fries were plentiful and hot. Fresh. Tea was good and always full. So I have been here twice now. The first time was a Saturday for lunch with a large group. When they brought around a page and pencils for everyone to write down their own order, I was irritated. It took just as much time, if not longer, for servers to verify orders, handwriting, sides, it saved no time and was very impersonal. I ordered something that was lousy. The sweet potato fries were good - I'm always a fan - but the chicken tasted like it came from a can. I didn't say anything, having worked in restaurants, it's not anyone there's fault that the quality is not what I thought it would be. But the server noticed, and took it upon herself to have the bill zeroed out. While I was there I noticed they have a gluten free menu. So my husband and I checked that out last night. If he can get a gluten free burger with decent bread, he's a happy customer. He had gluten free wings, the burger, and seasoned fries. All my food was great this time too. Prices are reasonable. Staff was very polite and concerned with the gluten free thing. Seemed to understand it's a big deal. We will be back! read more

Hey people don't be so judgmental, It's Glory Days. It's a sports bar, not a 5 star restaurant. I go here often with my Grandmother. She lives down the road at a retirement community, so it's close and convenient for her. They always treat her with such kindness and patience. We ate there last Friday and I had to drop her off out front, (she has trouble walking long distances) so I could park the car. One of the male hostess/waiters came out and helped her out of the car, hand walked her inside, and seated her immediately at a table. Too me that means the world to see such kindness and manners. The food always comes out in a reasonable time and is always nice and hot. For bar food it's good and I love there chicken wings. The bar is always pretty busy too, good happy hour place. It's Glory Days. Fun place to come to during games and a quick bite. I have no complaints with the food. It has always been good and the service has always been friendly and attentive (although most times SUPER sssssslllllllloooooooowwwwww). My only gripe is when my coworkers and I come in for a quick lunch, we always end up being there for almost two hours because it takes forever for the food to come out, takes another eternity for us to get our checks and takes more time on top of that for our servers to run our credit cards. Other than that, on days where we are not so time limited, it's a great place to come to hang out, mingle, talk trash to other people of opposing teams, and enjoy some yummy wings! read more
