Beautiful salon! I just tried it out last week and got a shellac mani and pedi with Mimi. She was very quiet, which i soon realized was her just being very focused and picky. She designed gel colors that were the colors I was looking for even though I had a very hard time decribing in. I've been looking for a place to get a mani-pedi for awhile now and I'm overall pleased with my experience at gloss. I got the technician named Cindy and she was very professional. She didn't talk much but I wasn't really in the mood for conversation myself and just let her concentrate on her work while I relaxed. My pedicure was amazing. Hands down one of the best pedicures I've ever had. The leg and foot massage was so relaxing. And I loved how clean everything was. My manicure was also relaxing and Cindy picked out a great subtle color for my nails. I didn't want the same bright color that I picked for my toes. She nailed what I wanted. She was also very quick and efficient with my manicure. I will however, second one of the reviewers who complained about the foot baths being a little too low. My feet were in the tub but just barely. They offer princess pedicures for little girls under the age of 12, makes me wonder how they accommodate them. And the hand and feet dryers were pretty uncomfortable. Sitting in a high chair without a back and then stretching to put my toes into the dryer was not the most pleasant experience. And the left side of my foot dryer didn't work all that well. A little disappointing at the end. That was the reason for the 5th star getting docked. I actually tried to go a week ago to get a pedicure but didn't have an appointment. I walked in and was told that they were booked up for the day. The receptionist was kind enough to offer to call me if they had any cancellations. But when they called me back later in the day, I wasn't in the area anymore. Definitely go to their website and book online if you can. This isn't the kind of place where you can just walk in and get your nails done. I liked how my manicure came out and I will definitely be back (I have a few weddings to go to in a few months, my own included). Looking forward to coming back. read more

This place is awwwwesome. got my first gel manicure here. SOOOO satisfied. Lizzy was the best. i work with my hands and the manicure is still 99% perfect after 1 week. By working with my hands I mean, I lift stone and repot plants and stock shelves and stuff like that. and the whole time my nails made me look like a rockstar. Lizzy was very friendly and did a great job trimming the crap skin around my nails. I didn't get a single ouchy. My perfectionist bf was watching and he was really impressed. Insisted on tipping alot, which is totally fine! hahaha we were both offered a drink, nice. I got a chilled bottled water, nice touch! $30 for a gel manicure is awesome. I called for an opening and was placed with someone for an appt for 15 mins later. pretty good availability. the place was so clean! and modern. and gorgeous. plus they autoclave all of their tools, so you see they come fresh out of the package that has been heated to kill all the yucky bacterias. A modern, open, very clean space, this is a terrific place for a pedicure. Great herbal scrubs and a huge array of colors to choose from. They also have plenty of space at the drying "bar" so you can let your color harden before heading out the door. Heck yeah. Best mani/pedis I've ever gotten? Five minutes from my home. Pricey. But so, so, so worth it. Try to get an appointment with My Linh. She's amazing. I've gotten at least half a dozen pedicures and over a dozen gel manis here over the last few years and I've never had an issue with the service, the quality, and the price. I have a wonky thumbnail - it was hammered by a volunteer on a Habitat for Humanity site and is taking its $&*(#$ time growing back. No worries - they just put one fake nail on and do a gel mani so everything is consistent and looks great. Always super clean and comfortable - I love the decor and have always felt at ease in Gloss. They make you feel basically at home - offer you drinks, let you kick back and relax, and they usually have Netflix playing. I'm not one to sit and watch a marathon of Say Yes To The Dress, but hey, if my nails are going to look like a million bucks after, I'd watch just about anything on Netflix. In the past, I've been here before, and it wasn't bad. It's nice in there, very modern decor. As of last week, not so great. The woman at the desk was very pleasant. The nail tech wasn't so pleasant. I came in early and it was almost empty, She seemed to be in a rush. I got a pedi and mani (shellac). During the pedi, I requested that she took her time because she barely scrubbed. She negatively commented that my feet were "bad". This made me uncomfortable. During the mani, she rushed her way through. It was the shortest mani I ever had. I was very unhappy. The next mornig my shellac chipped off! This resulted in a nail braking off. I did call and they told me they could fix my nail in two days. I decided not to go back. Fast forward to a week later, I have two chipped nails, and both index fingers appear to be chipping now :(.... I will not be coming back. I didn't feel like a valued customer. read more

I've been going to Gloss for the past 2 years. Each visit has been lovely and the service is consistent. The staff is really nice, professional, and they all do a great job. Today was no exception. I booked a mani/pedi for this evening as a treat to an end of a particular stressful couple of weeks at work. Both the mani and pedi were great and I went home. When I got through the door, my bulldog ran up to me and stomped on one of my freshly painted feet and smudged the paint on my big toe. In a panic and feeling really bummed, I called Gloss back, explained what happened, and they said no problem and to come back and they'll fix it. As soon as I got back there, they immediately fixed the paint on my big toe. I really appreciate how they go above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy and satisfied. I've been here 3x, and each time I've been so pleased with the service! Very friendly staff. They do a wonderful job making you feel comfortable, and willing to help with colors. Everything is very clean and they have about 6 million colors to choose from in both gel and non-gel. The price cannot be beat! They are so reasonable! Booking is easy and I love a nice Starburst afterwards (they always have a giant bowl for customers). The only downside is no massage chairs. That would make my review 5 stars for sure! Absolutely horrible visit, I went to relax and get a pedicure. The woman sitting less than a foot away from me talked on her cell phone nearly the entire time. I finally had enough and asked the technician to stop the pedicure. I stopped at the desk to tell them I was leaving. At this point, they finally offered to move me. The place was mostly empty so there was no reason to put anyone right next to each other. I declined and they had the nerve to charge me for a half of a pedicure for cutting my nails and buffing. I have been going to gloss for a long time and have always had a pleasant experience with eyebrow waxes by Lynn. Lynn is amazing but was not working. I went to get my eyebrows waxed and had an appointment. When i arrived i was brought into a wax room where the door was left open - the receptionist was running back and forth from my appointment to the desk to tend to other customers. Gloss is such a great nail salon. It is very clean and nicely decorated. The prices are reasonable, for the area. They accept AMEX, which is rare and appreciated! They have a good selection of polish colors for gel polishes and a huge selection of regular polish colors. I have gone to Gloss many, many times and I have always been highly satisfied with the results. I have had numerous technicians and they have all done a good job. They have a few different options for spa pedicures. I have only gotten a pedicure once. I prefer a deeper massage and also massage chairs, which they do not have. They also offer online booking, which is convenient. Although, it is not always working. The only "negative" that I would say is that parking can be difficult. But, that has nothing to do with the actual salon. I would just allow for an extra 5-10 minutes, ahead of your appointment time to find parking and walk to the salon. They also offer you a drink, which I always find to be a nice, added touch. Overall, a GREAT salon and I definitely recommend getting manicures here. read more

I enjoyed the look and feel of the salon and the people were very nice and accommodating. That said, I feel there was very little attention to detail or quality. Nail polishes are in no color order and a lot of bottles were near empty, half closed or were oozing with nail polish. A pedi and gel mani took only 1 hour. I went on a Friday and by Sunday half my nails were peeling at the edges and the were so thick with polish my nails looked distorted. I ended up peeling it off. Went for a basic manicure. The establishment is exactly as pictured. Clean room and the implements came out of sterile bags. We didn't have to wait and check in was easy. Our technicians were quiet and did not make chit chat which is perfect because my daughter gets uncomfortable having to make conversation or speak about herself. They were quick and did a great job. They have a drying bar which we liked too...no timer and we sat and chatted. No one rushed us out.
