A nice spot where the food is just top of the line. I got tofu satay cuz when can you ever get that at most Thai places and the HH edamame. My partner got tofu green curry which we shared and was just lovely. All were served in culturally authentic bowls, which is important to someone like me who doesn't make alot of Asian food at home cuz our ingredients can be so particular, you can't just walk into Trader Joe's or Westside to make them! Also, the thing about places that are at a slightly higher price point like Glur is that you don't have to share the room with a loud, student crowd which makes for a calmer, more romantic setting: 19th Street in that area is super chill which adds to the vibe. Can't wait for my next paycheck (heh) to go again.

Solid neighborhood spot. This is apparently a regular place for my sister so we got a couple of her usuals and then a couple of new things to try. It's a cozy little space with about 7 or 8 tables. The wait staff was efficient and nice. For food, we ordered a fried chicken wing off the specials menu that was probably my favorite thing of the night because the spices and sauce just contributed to an amazing burst of flavor. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of it. We also got a khao soi, pad see ew, and crab fried rice. They were all pretty solid and enjoyable. I will say the type of crispy noodles used in the khao soi was different than other khao soi's I've had before and wasn't my favorite texturally. My sister also said the crab fried rice had a lot less crab than before as she was unsuccessfully hunting for visible pieces of crab. Other than those two nits, it's a pretty good spot that I'd go back to.

This vegan-friendly Thai restaurant has a wide variety of classic Thai dishes, and many options for plant-based customers. It is quite small inside but a cute place for a quick meal. Their Thai iced tea is made with oat milk, but if I didn't know, I wouldn't be able to tell! The apps were alright! The Plant-based Dumplings were made with a vegetable filling to mimic the look and flavor of meat, but I think you can definitely tell the difference. The filling also kept falling out once I put my fork in it. The Golden calamari had a light crisp as the breading was a bit thin, but it still had good flavor with a mayo dipping sauce. I loved the amount of crab in the Crab meat fried rice and the spice level on the Pad kee moa noodles. It was chewy and packed with fresh shrimp! Of course, no Thai meal is complete without Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. Theirs was quite good.

4/5 Thai Tea -- a bit on the sweeter side, standard richness of a classic thai tea 4.5/5 Curry Puff -- crisp flaky pastry, generous and flavorful filling 4.5/5 Green Curry- really enjoyed the flavor of their green curry, along side all the veggies in the dish with the jasmine rice. 4/5 Massaman Curry -- nothing to write home about but was tasty and hit the spot for a massaman curry craving 3.5/5 Pad Thai -- taste was overall too sweet, sauce was very liquidy, noodles erred on the softer side. Also note this restaurant is on the smaller side, maybe 6 tables total. We came on a weeknight around 6pm, and was lucky a group just finished their meal so there was no wait.

SERVICE - located in Chelsea near flatiron - small interior with some seating for groups of 2-4 and a few tables outside - many people doing takeout - service made it seem like they wanted us to eat and leave as soon as possible rather than leisurely enjoying our meal - ambiance good for a casual/semi casual meal - restroom available for diners MENU - Thai selection of mains and chefs specials - many vegan/vegetarian options - average price ($20 per entree) FOOD - vegan khao nar ped (8/10): crispy vegan duck over brown rice with a gingery sauce and sides of cucumber and greens. I asked for chili paste on the side and while it wasn't spicy the tang and warmth from the ginger was unlike any Thai dish I have tried. The portion is perfect for one person and can easily be shared as part of a larger spread. The texture of the vegan duck was chewy, but the flavors were masked by the sauce. WOULD I GO BACK? Yes! This is one of the most vegan friendly Thai places in the city that has affordable and flavorful food.

One of my favorite small spots in Manhattan for some comforting and delicious Thai food, I've come in a few times and their pad Thai with shrimp is delicious, I also love their red curry with vegetables. During my last visit to NYC I decided to try some of their soups I loved their Tom Yum with shrimp and their Tom Kha is a great option for those who are very sensitive to spice, they were both very good. It's almost a must visit whenever I come to New York Whether I come with friends or myself.

Although Glur is small, it has a good layout and seating. This place is super comfortable and has a great vibe. We received hot and tasty food. Guests were always assisted by the wait staff. I highly recommend Glur Thai for lunch, brunch, dinner, or dates. For those who enjoy dining outdoors, the outside seating is a great feature. I loved the food because it was so flavorful and delicious. All menus should be requested. Only their seasonal menu was provided to me, with fewer specials. Other diners had additional menus, so I inquired about them.

Such a great vegetarian option - I'm not a vegetarian or vegan by any means but it's so nice that people can have more than the 1-2 options that menus generally offer. We didn't have any issues getting a table for 2 on a Saturday evening - it did start filling up as we ate. The menu is quite extensive with some core options and lots of newness with vegan options. I'd recommend the daring chicken option with any noodle - personally the pad Thai ($20) was good at first but then got too sweet once again. The ground impossible gra pow with rice ($22) was 100% a must have! It was very flavorful and had a sweetness without being overpowering. Would definitely come back - it's a small space but great for pairs or groups of 4.

Honestly, a pretty solid Thai spot. It is very small with little seating so you have to wait because they don't do reservations. We were able to get sat within 10 minutes. I think we just got lucky. They had a lot of vegan options which was really nice because two of the friends I was with our vegetarian. I tried the vegan duck and it was honestly really good. Didn't have a meat texture, but the flavors were really good and I enjoyed it.

I came to Glur with my friend who is vegan since she knew that there were a lot of options she could enjoy. I've never heard of Glur prior, but I was a little hesitant as i've never been to a thai place with a lot of vegan options before. I was definitely proven wrong. I got the chicken red curry and pad kee mao. Both dishes were so good and full of flavor. They had the perfect amount of spice and it was so comforting and warm to eat on a rainy evening. This is a great place to go with a group of friends as there's an option for everyone, and Glur does it all pretty well! The only thing is that the restaurant is a bit small and it did take a while to get the food, but other than that I highly recommend!

Glur is a small Thai place in Chelsea with limited indoor and outdoor seating. The service is quick and the servers were so nice! We came here on a rainy Saturday night and waited about 20 minutes to sit at the bartop facing the street, which wasn't too bad. Just know there isn't space to wait inside and there isn't a covering outside, so a lot of people didn't wait due to the rain. I ordered the vegetable pad Thai and it was delicious, but the noodles were a bit too soft for me. The dish was flavorful and loaded with veggies (carrots, green beans, mushrooms, etc.). The portions are big as well, with enough for me to take back leftovers for lunch later in the week. It held up (shockingly) well for leftovers, the flavor was unchanged and the veggies were still crunchy even after reheating. This is a great Thai place and I would probably come back!

Tiny and more modern than I thought it would be Glur Thai offers many options to meat eaters, vegetarians/vegans alike. I loved the vast variety of vegan options offered on the menu. You have a lot Thai staple dishes that can be modified to be vegetarian or vegan. Speaking of staples, I ordered the Pad Thai which was a little underwhelming. I don't know if it because I made it vegan,but it was lacking the complexity of flavor that I come to love in Thai food. There were only bean sprouts, a few mini peanuts and a some pieces of mock duck in the dish. There was so much noodles without any texture to balance it out that it felt like too much for one sitting. I also tried the spring rolls and save for the sauce, they were flavorless. I feel like giving this another shot, but having had a "signature dish" and not being impressed by it, makes it unlikely that I will. read more

Not super sure where these negative reviews are coming from, but as a Glur regular, I've consistently had the opposite experience. My "Thai tapas" experience is always the calamari, the curry puffs and the Park Mor dumplings. Throw in a bottle of rose and you've got a great start to your night right there. read more

It is small place, weekends expect a wait. Food here is good more on the authentic side. Staff is friendly and helpful. Very nice staff running a cozy small restaurant close to Gotham Comedy Club, Chelsea Market, etc. Our veggie friends appreciated the many choices they found. Prices are reasonable, making this a good option in the neighborhood. read more

My new favorite Thai spot in NYC. A friend recommended it, and the whole thing couldn't have been a better experience. I lived in Thailand for a year, and everything about the food brought me back. Favorite dishes: the crab fried rice, duck tamarind, and the pork chop. All outstanding. It's a tiny place, so you're cozy with the folks at the table next to you, but in a lot of ways that adds to the experience. They also have Chang beer :) read more

Glur is my go to thai order in the neighborhood. My fave is the pad see ewe and i usually get one other for variety. The portions are definitely enough, but a bit smaller than other take out spots but it's good portion control. I saw this restaurant on Seated, which takes a portion out of the bill - and ive chosen not to go through that platform in order to support the people who own this spot. Definitely a gem for Chelsea! read more

I loved their vegan options, which are many. The tofu satay was fresh and peanutty. The noodles with Impossible meat was also delicious, although it needed more sauce and way more vegetables. The service was speedy. The place is tiny so plan to wait or take out. read more

Amazing Thai spot with lots of vegan and vegetarian options! I always recommend this place when I'm going out to dinner with a group because there's something for everybody. I love the pad see ew with impossible beef and their tom jurd soup. The broth is so rich and flavorful- I think it's actually the best soup I've ever had! They also have dairy free Thai iced tea which is so hard to find and such a treat! The menu is label really clearly so you don't have to ask what's vegan or vegetarian which I also appreciate. Can't recommend Glur enough! read more

came here on a friend's recommendation and it was fireeeee! loveddd that they had impossible meat and mock duck in addition to your standard tofu. got the pad kee mao with impossible meat and it was sooooo good, cannot recommend this highly enough (and pad kee mao is my go to thai dish so the bar is high). super flavorful without being too spicy, and the impossible meat went with it perfectly. def a standout thai place! read more

Glur is a super-vegan-friendly Thai spot on 19th Street in Chelsea. I tried three different vegan dishes: the chick'n pad Thai (made with Daring Foods chick'n), the mock "duck" noodle soup, and the Impossible "beef" gra prow. This was one of the best meals I've had in a long time - the pad Thai was as good as any I've ever had, and the Daring chick'n texture was perfect. The mock duck soup was extremely fragrant and savory. And the Impossible dish was just packed with so much flavor from the basil sauce (and the super-meaty Impossible grounds). I highly recommend trying out this spot - and these are just a few of their vegan options. They have an outdoor tent with heating, where I ate comfortably after taking some pictures inside (with my mask on!) And - while they serve non-vegan options here - these dishes were so hearty and flavorful that even a meat-eating companion would love them. Amazing job, Glur! read more

This place is new and located where GoGoThai once was. Because it was a relatively soft opening, it was not packed. I had the larb gai and spice level was on point. The hubs had a curry dish which he liked as well. My kid had the dumplings w sweet soy and he ate it all along w some rice. I'd go again for any other gluten-free entres. I found this place bc I was looking for authentic spicy food in the area! read more

This little gem was greattttt! We got there about 15 minutes before they closed & they still greeted us with a great attitude! Let me get straight to it....EVERYTHINGGGGGG we ordered was excellent, so full of flavor and FRESH! They had the bestttttt chicken satay I've ever tasted in my life & The crab fried rice was DELICIOUS! I will definitely be back and I'll make sure we get there earlier lol. read more

Not worth the price. Was literally one heated up Gardein chicken Patty that was cut into little slices on a bed of rice. Nothing was done to change the texture and taste of it. I know because I buy these patties from wholefoods/ sprouts often. Do better. Would not recommend or come here again. read more

I've got to say I love this place. I did a order to go and their masaman curry was the bomb. Then I also sat at the restaurant. In terms of if this is a cute date spot, maybe. The place is small and tends to get crowded. But if you're looking for a single meal, taking yourself out, I recommend this spot. The curry is rich in flavor and texture. Their vegetarian duck was banging. While, the shrimp was cooked thoroughly. The staff was nice and friendly always checking on me. I appreciate that. Even though I wanted to eat my meal in peace. They were accommodating enough, checking in on me, without being a bother. It's a nice oasis. read more

GLUR doesn't disappoint, it's actually so good that the food inspired me to write my first Yelp review. Serving up traditional style thai food with a modern twist, there's something for every type of eater. The apps are perfect for sharing and the entrees are a decent size but the best part is how fresh everything tastes! I ordered the crispy tofu and vegetarian duck pad pak and was beyond impressed--I literally cleared my whole plate! I highly recommend this place and definitely try the veggie duck pad pak! The restaurant itself is a little tight, so navigating a stroller or wheelchair might be tough (not impossible though) but that's NYC for you. read more

Came her on a Saturday (party of 2) around 5:45pm. The place is small and cozy. We were seated immediately and the staff was very friendly and attentive (always kept our water filled). For appetizers we ordered spring rolls, chicken satay and curry puffs. The spring rolls were good and crispy and the sauce that came with it was sweet and spicy. The chicken satay was good. The chicken was tender and the peanut sauce was nutty and not overly sweet. The curry puffs were also good! They had a good flavor but lacked a bit of spiciness. For the main course I ordered the chicken pad Thai and my bf ordered the Pad Gra Prow. The chicken pad Thai was ok. The portions were good and it had a good amount of chicken. It was sweet and citrusy. I would say it was sweet up front and then left the citrusy flavor at the end (the flavors did not blend). The Pad Gra Prow was flavorful, but could have used more chicken. The ratio of peppers and onions to chicken to disproportionate. All the food was hot (temperature wise). Be careful not to burn yourself! read more

The food is good but the service is terrible. There was only one person working and we waited 20 min before she took our order. No water (or eye contact) offered before then. A good place to order food for pick up, but I cannot recommend this restaurant for a sit-down experience. read more

Cute place where we were asked for Vaxx proof-both a plus! Informed server about being vegetarian and no tolerance for cross- contamination. Asked about vegetarian spring rolls and was told frier used did not have shrimp or other non-vegetarian items-that it was vegetarian only frier. Several minutes later another server came over and told me that was inaccurate. Good catch to be sure but then needed to follow up about my other ordered items which I was assured were all vegetarian with no cross-contamination of even utensils! All sounded great. Unfortunately within minutes of leaving the restaurant . . . yep . . . I became ill due to cross-contamination. So, while they may be "vegan-friendly", that only means they serve non-meat/fish dishes and not that their prep is vegan/vegetarian. read more

I LOVE GLUR. It's small so make a reservation. They have the best service. I'm not vegan, but was so impressed with all of the vegan options. Loved the imitation duck, and the shrimp was some of the freshest I've had in the city. Can't wait to come back. read more

The potsticker was seasoned very well: my favorite part. To drink, I had the Asian Arnold Palmer and it was a cute drink! Only downside is the sweetness was not even distributed through the drink, even after I mixed the drink. I loved watching the staff prepare the noodles while waiting. My bowl was huge and absolutely delicious. It was very spicy as promised, but not too spicy that it was rendered not enjoyable. I looked at other orders and everything looked delicious, leading to only semi-regret of my choice. My lemonade was very good. I'm very much looking forward to returning.

The curry was rich, creamy, and packed with deep, comforting flavors, while the vegan duck had a great texture and soaked up the sauce perfectly. Very nice atmosphere, excellent service, good food, fair prices. This restaurant is a real authentic Thai food. An overall pleasant dining experience.
