The jumbo beer battered fish and ceasar salad with thier homemade tartar sauce was fabulous! The fish was perfect cooked, flakey and not greasy. I dont usually like tartar sauce but thiers was delicious. My wife had the flounder stuuffed with crab imperial, rice and seasoned vegetables which was also excellant. Don't let the appearance of this place (which is not more than your average sandwhich shop) deter you. The service was good and the staff was very friendly. Don't forget to order a pint of Newcastle brown ale which is on tap. It goes down nice and smooth and is a great complement to the fish. read more

Ehhhhh......just ok. I'm not an expert on fish n chips, and maybe it was too early in the week before the fresh fish was delivered, but my first experience at Go Fish was disappointing. We went fir lunch on a Tuesday and the place was fairly empty. The food came fast but The fish was a bit off and the chips were too greasy. I got onion rings too and they were just ok as well. The highlight of lunch was the sticky toffee pudding which was light and flavorful. I guess for very fast boardwalk eats it beats some of the alternatives on Rehoboth Ave. I'll give it another try and hope for better results. I ate here with my boyfriend for lunch on 5/30/11. He ordered the fish and chips and I got the steak sandwich. Both were delish!! I just wish they gave him 1 more piece of fish, instead of 2. I also got the curry sauce to dip my fries in. It was one of the best curry sauces I have ever had! I got the sticky toffee pudding dessert and it was amazing!!! I almost wanted to order seconds! Four stars for the food! I got the fish and Caesar to go (same price as a fish and chips), with a side of tandoori mushy peas. The fish was quite sizeable and flaky, however didn't taste fresh to me (pre-frozen?). The batter thick and very crispy, not your typical fried fish; although a bit more oily than I would have liked, it was tasty and hey...what do you expect with fried! The salad was nothing special, with just parmesan and no Caesar dressing. The service was quick (I got my food in about 5 minutes). The shrimp sampler has 3 different prepared shrimp. 4 each of coconut, beer battered, and stuffed crabmeat. All fantastic. I had the honey seared salmon. Tender, flakey,and very delectable. My partner had the fish and chips. The best he's had. Dessert was key lime pie and bread pudding. You must have them both! This was my second visit. Every time my family comes to Rehoboth for vacation we always book it here for lunch. When it comes to restaurants my parents are hard to please and are very picky so the fact that this is the only place in Rehoboth that they'll consistently return to year after year is a big deal. Their fish and chips is probably the best fish + chips I've ever had. The haddock is so fresh, and the batter is light yet crispy. Shepherd's pie is also really good as well. It is perfect after a full day of swimming and splashing around in the cold water. I haven't been to Rehoboth in a few years but am glad to see this place is still around. Can't wait to return again. I wish I lived closer to the beach partly because of Go Fish! read more

Seemed like the perfect place for fish and chips, well sort of. Fish was good, not the best we ever had (Federal Jacks, Kennebunk Maine!) the "chips" on the other had were absolutely the worst we ever had. They seemed like they were prepared well in advance waiting for the evening rush, or they used the twice fried method but forgot to do the second fry. We didn't send back because we were on a time line. Besides, if you can't get fries right the first time, why bother. We started with a Caesar salad. Nice crisp cold romaine, boxed croutons, nicely dressed and "sprinkled" with parm, not very impressive for $7. Service was good. Cute little place near the ocean. The fish and chips were very good and didn't feel greasy at all. The piece of fish was a little on the small side compared to a British chippy, and the price was a little on the large side compared to a British chippy. The chips were very nice. Service is with British precision. No, not really. This is a beach resort town and expect a very casual place where you are welcome in a bikini and flip flops. The fish is excellent. Price wise its $10.95 for a single piece of fish and chips with cole saw. The fish is about 12 inches long and 3 to 4 inches wide. Plenty of food. Fresh and hot every time out of the fryer, the fish is moist and very tasty. Chips are excellent. There is no need to go to Thasher's for chips when these complement the fish so well. Cole Saw is good - needed more kick so dashed it with vinegar. Overall, another great fish & chips place. Don't forget to order with a mock British accent. ;) read more

Don't listen to the hype! My wife and daughter got the fish and chips and fish and salad; and it was okay. I however made the mistake of ordering the Lamb Vindaloo. I first asked the waitress how the Indian food was and she replied that she thought the Lamb Vindaloo was Italian. Should have been a sign- the dish was inedible big chunks of fat and grizzle. They offered to get me something else but I declined. Really hope I don't get sick from the little bit I ate. By the way the waitress also tried to take my wife's dish before she was finished..all in all just a weird experience. I was in Rehobeth for a bachelorette party last year and stopped into this quaint restaurant for dinner with a large group. There were about 13 of us and they were able to seat us at one large table all together with no problem. Although the restaurant was not full as I suspect the downpour outside kept people away, service was great and server was very attentive. A friend and I split two meals since we could not decide. We got the Jumbo Shrimp Dinner and the Crabcakes Dinner. Both were great and not super greasy, just enough. I was able to get the best of both and glad we decided to split. The only downfall was the selection of wine. I had a glass of chardonnay and it was not good at all. I would definitely come back here if I am ever in Rehobeth again! Went here twice in one weekend because it was just so good! Such a quaint, small (and seriously small - barely a dozen tables) place that oozes British charm, all coming from the very pleasant, very British owner. Both my boyfriend and I got the fish and chips (how did you guess) both times we went there and were very impressed both times. I don't know how the rest of the British food on the menu is, but personally I would stick with what the place is famous for. Great flavor, ALWAYS hot, and even the "chips" and coleslaw were equally as delicious! The just as famous dessert known as "sticky toffee pudding" is a must have and you will really want to save room for this small, slightly pricey dessert that, as a woman in an article about the restaurant said: "it's better than sex!" Again, the atmosphere is charming with lots to look at and read while you're waiting. Small selection of alcohol from the bar. Our wait staff was polite, but could have had a bit more personality and been a little more attentive for such a small place. We visit Go Fish on nearly every trip to Rehoboth. I've found it to be hit or miss - mostly hit. The fish and chips are excellent. A few times the fish was overcooked. Their coleslaw is good, but once it was old, brownish so I sent it back. The sticky toffee pudding is excellent but can also be hit or miss. Sometimes, if no one was there, I'd lick the bowl. Other times, it's good but not worthy of bowl-licking. I think the booths could use a good scrub. Service is great, prices are reasonable. Very kid-friendly. I recommend it. read more
