Just no. We joined a fundraiser at Go Fish and it was so unorganized. Customers outside didn't know what they were suppose to be doing. No direction. We ordered online for a 6pm picked. Got there and was told it would be another 20 mins. Waited another hour...was told that they were "working on it right now". 20 mins... "working on it right now" ANOTHER 20 minutes..."working on it right now". Only to have my RING DOOR BELL go off with a delivery person at my door! The people at the desk couldn't care less that I had waited two hours while being told my order was almost ready. I'm glad the fundraiser had a good turn out but they should have staffed better. NOT lied to me. Paid Attention to me for just a moment long enough to notice my order was unnecessarily driven to my house when I'd been sitting there for two hours. read more

This was my first time going to have sushi here and I was blown away by the great service and quality of the food we received. We had dinner here and they were pretty packed but that didn't affect our experience at all. It's located right by the movies at the Simi Valley Town Center, which makes it perfect for a pre movie meal. We ordered two rolls (Scooby Doo & Gladiator) which are not on the menu. These rolls were some of the best I've ever had. Each different and unique in their own way. I hope they keep them around. The restaurant is clean, the staff was very attentive and friendly and the sushi was fresh and tasty. This is not an all you can eat place, so don't come here for that. Definitely will be back to try some more items. A solid five stars for Go Fish Sushi! read more

What's funny is that the guy that owns this restaurant is my next door neighbor, and yet it took my yelp buddy Claudia to make me come here. We moved to the area recently and are still exploring restaurants, last night we tried go fish sushi bar. What a find! From the moment we walked in we were welcomed and made to feel comfortable the great customer service continued thru our meal and even as we were leaving, if that wasn't enough the atmosphere is very nice and the restaurant is very clean. Now to the food it was excellent and so innovative we had a dish we have never seen anywhere before The Mountain the presentation was awesome and the flavor and quality was outstanding pretty fun tackling it and taking it apart. Everything else we had was great too very fresh, large portions, lots of variety and the presentation was perfect down to the wasabi they shaped it like places do with butter. Their ginger was the real deal so many places it's a weird color and disappointing. They have many beverage options too quite extensive. I think the person that greeted us and checked on us later is the owner or manager he has a great team. We will definitely be going back, so happy to have found this place. Amazing sushi, we've been coming here at least twice a month and our food always comes out at a decent time but today it was quite the opposite. We waited 45 minutes - 1 hour to get our food because there was a HUGE party on a long table in the middle of the restaurant. We brought our two small children which made matters even worse because who the heck wants to entertain children for that amount of time at 6:45 pm at night? It would've been very appreciated if we were told in advance that the food would be on the slower side coming to our table. No warning given advance, instead we got an apology 45 min after waiting for our food. Do better and warn people especially with little kids!!!!! read more

Yeah, I am a fan. We have been twice as an alternative to the other restaurants around the movie theater. The second time was better than the first. I suspect that over time, my four star rating could improve to five stars. One thing that is five stars is their calamari. It is tempura style with a light batter and is cooked perfectly. Perhaps the best I have had anywhere. The fish is fresh and quite good. I ask the sushi chef to add wasabi between the fish and sushi rice to make the sushi more authentic. Otherwise, the chefs tend to appeal to American tastes and don't do this step... but do it, you'll like the result. Service here is always excellent. read more
