Been coming to this place for years. Their prices are good especially their lunch special. You get a lot for what you pay for. Their lunch special starts at $7.50 and that comes with a soup and a salad. They also have a lunch special bento box for only $10. Place is always clean and staff is very friendly. I love their hot tea as well (roasted rice). Their rolls are ok, but then again I'm not a big fan of sushi. I always get their salmon teriyaki or the chicken maki bento box. Hidden gem. From the outside looks a little dingy, but it's a nicely decorated inside..Lunch specials are great also (2 Rolls and a soup/ salad for under $10). A friend and I actually went went to a different sushi place for lunch and left after seeing the menu and knowing what we were missing out on here They have lots of rolls and specialities and also have a fair amount of non sushi items (chicken teriyaki, etc) The servers are very polite and attentive. I usually get the roll special with the salad (comes with a ginger dressing) always good. My only reservation from the 5 stars is that food service is a little slow, but you can see it being made so it's not like they are lollygagging. Excellent! My only complaint is that it isn't closer to my house! The staff if friendly the food is fresh and cheap! This place is great for a family dinner or a quick take out. Go Sushi is an excellent place, but quite a contrast to Jo Sho one of my other central NJ favorites. Go Sushi has a very nicely decorated dining room, it is bright and warmly painted in a tasteful way. The staff is always attentive and friendly. Food presentation is always nice and creative and service is reasonably quick. The prices are a sincere bargain and portions are generous. The fish quality is what I would call very good to sometimes excellent. Salmon is always perfect, Tuna is ok. (But to get something that is much higher quality, you would have to pay 4x the price). They have a lunch special where you can get 3 maki's with Miso Soup or Salad for 10.00, This is one of the best deals in NJ. This is a great place to go when you are trying to save a few dollars, or if you want to bring a bunch of friends and treat everyone. Damn this place is good. Great quality sushi, giant rolls, inventive designs, just really really good. Best part? Everything was on "sale" with $1 pieces of sushi or sashimi, big big rolls for $9, even good standard tuna rolls for $3.50. And everything tasted damn good too. I am in love with this place. The food is superb and the prices are reasonable. Best beef teriyaki I ever had is here! I highly recommend the beef negimaki as an appetizer. It's so juicy and meaty. The bento box out classes Kyoto sushi 2 by far. More food, better quality, better price, and they give you the little fruits at the end. Not to mention the mints on the way out. Let me start by saying we used to love go sushi until tonight. The amount of disrespect we received from this restaurant is absolutely disgusting. We order several rolls with "soy paper only" due to allergy. They only wrapped one roll in soy paper and the rest in seaweed. To top it off the soup they had in the bag destroyed our entire meal. Got the bag in the house and got all over our carpet, table and floor. We called go sushi so they can fix their mistake. Go sushi than yelled at us, called us liars and refused to deliver us new food. They said we could pick it up in an hour because they had a line out the door. The owner refused to believe us about the soup and continuously called us demanding we send a picture to them. She was extremely rude and hostile. We never ever complain or write reviews. So now we have nothing to eat because how bad this place treated us. We will never ever order from this place again. We will take our business elsewhere. We suggest you do the same. read more

We usually get delivery from here every free weeks and it has been ok. Today when they delivered, we noticed the tuna was a deep purple color and had bad odor (like canned cat food). When I called about it - they said they have never had a complaint about it and asked what I expected from them. When I asked for a refund, they offered a $4 discount the next time I ordered - but said they couldn't back out the payment we made with a charge card or cancel it. I have been coming to this location for a little over a year now. I have never dined in and usually just pickup for lunch because I work in the area. I order from their website online and the food is always ready at the time I schedule it to be picked up for and the food is always great. Always fresh and well made. Rice is sticky so the roll does not fall apart and more importantly, always delicious. To be honest, the only reason I decided to leave a review was due to an incident that took place with them. Sometime last week I ordered my lunch per usual and even brought in a 10% off coupon. My final total was $15.05 which I paid for by card. Keep in mind, I am a hawk with my bank account so once I saw that I was billed $23 and some change by GoSushi I was immediately alarmed. Luckily when I order online the receipt comes to my email so I had some form of proof. Anyway, long story short, I called and spoke to Carol and expressed my concern on what happened. She informed me that she wasn't too sure what happened but she did know they were having an issue with their system that day and that they would refund me back the difference. Whether the system being down was bullshit or not I am just happy they did not make a big deal about it and that I didn't have to go through all the trouble of disputing it with my bank. So not only was I refunded the money and apologized to repeatedly but I received a gift card :) All in all, the food is great but the respect for their customers is amazing as well. read more

Simply put, I will never be returning to this place, and I have warned my friends as well as family about the theft trouble I experienced here in July of 2013. Let me elaborate. I have never written a bad review, so I will do this the most tasteful way, even after what I experienced was abhorable. My friend and I ate here July 26, 2013 for dinner. I thought it was pretty ok for a sushi place. A bit on the unclean side. The issue didn't come until I paid with my DEBIT CARD and went home as usual. What I didn't realize until that evening when I checked my online bank statement, is that there had been a $600 charge to my debit card from Chegg.com, an online textbook company. I had not used my debit card any other place that day, AND my charge for dinner and tip at Go Sushi were also on my statement. Also, I'm not in college for the year. Naturally, I was horrified. Thankfully, I was able to cancel the Chegg order , and my money was returned. But had I not seen my statement, simply put, I would have been fucked due to the fact that $600 is nearly two months wages for me, and money a poor college student doesn't have. Overall, this place is not worth the risk. Please, BE CAREFUL HERE! AVOID IT! There are plenty of cleaner, honest and tastier Sushi places all around in this area! read more

I consider myself somewhat of a sushi snob so I snubbed this place when it first opened. Cheap sushi? You get what you pay for, right? But I have to admit, it's not bad at all. Took a friend's insistence and tried it and was a little impressed. Now I order from them regularly because its cheap, they have a decent and varied selection and they deliver (something the sushi place I usually use doesn't offer). I typically order the edamame, shumai, gyoza and beef negamaki appetizers, avocado, California, spicy tuna, spider or Philadelphia rolls (basic) and a Rt 22 or SoHo roll (designer). Banana tempura is pretty good too but arrives a bit soggy for delivery. Avocado salad is crisp and good-sized. They also have a selection cooked dishes like noodles, hibachi and tempura, as well as several soups. And they run several 'packages' which I think are worth the money for a quick, cheap lunch. I've never dined in the restaurant- only takeout. But the place is clean and service seems quick and friendly. Design is a bit strange though- like a neon 80's dream. If you're looking for a quick, tasty and affordable lunch/dinner of basic American-desired sushi, this is a great place and its in an easy location on 22. read more

The sushi and food wasn't worth it. It was average from what we actually got. We ordered sushi and a dish, to be delivered. I know this is an interesting time now and expect an hour wait or so for a delivery. However when my door dasher went to pick up the food he called and texted me that the restaurant told him one item wasn't available and they are running half hour behind. I told them just credit me the one Item just to make it easier. Then when food finally came there was two more items missing. I called the restaurant right away and they said "she forgot to pack them". Being it was so late I said just credited me those items as well too.. they even quoted me what I would get credited for. Confused on why this place has 4 stars .. Probably the worst sushi I've had my whole life. First off the shrimp tempura tastes like it was sitting in a fridge for a few days. It was cold and stale and it was only 1 pm when we got there. The Philadelphia roll I couldn't even eat bc the way the salmon tasted. Everything was just very mediocre. I understand why they have everything half price daily because the taste of their food doesn't seem like they spend much money on fresh ingredients. Definitely will not be coming back here !
