Conveniently located minutes from Bellayre Mountain Ski Resort, it's a casual dining spot great for groups. Kid friendly menus and lots of dessert options. We came here on the suggestion of our B&B host. Exactly as he described - casual but good and has plenty of parking. The thing with restaurants near a ski town, know it gets pretty busy between 5pm - 7pm. The crowds let up usually around 8pm. Full bar with TV's offered here as well. Note: they don't sell pizza by the slice and there's only options for a pie. But you can choose the size, medium has 6 slices and the large has 8 slices. The friendly waitress we had answered all my questions about the menu and the portion sizes. She was very helpful in explaining things and noted my food allergy in case. The casual dining room area is well lit and fairly spread out so that you're not sitting on top of your neighbors. There was a secondary dining area by the General Store and Cashier /ice cream station but that was too close to the entrance so we lucked out sitting by the fireplace. Good eats: Broccoli and Cheddar skins as appetizers Pizza pies were delicious, great crust. Dough was soft yet crispy on the edges. Baked haddock with crabmeat stuffing, a little extra $ for the stuffing but the prices here were reasonable, so go ahead, splurge! Desserts we bought "to go" as we had after dinner plans and the selection was pretty good. The chocolate brownies were all plain chocolate (no nuts) despite the way they were decorated. The only tougher than the ribs was the attitude of the owner. I ordered short ribs and was served BBQ pork ribs. But they assured me it was short ribs. The meat was so tough and over cooked I took one bite and actually choked on it. I thought it was just that bite, so I pulled the meat off of the small bones to dig around for something I could chew. The second bite was as dry as the first so I sent it back. The rest of the folks at the table finished their meals, which were okay. Still, no word about what they were doing about my ribs. The owner came out and said there was nothing wrong with the ribs and since I ate half if it, she would take half off of the price. Two bites = half of the meal? She was snotty and rude. Three of us visited here on 9/13/2019. Service was fine. Bathrooms are clean. I had the sausage sandwich, my friend had the ribeye, his girlfriend had a salad. My sausage sandwich was by no means bad in the "taste" department, however, this place either needs smaller rolls or more sausage for this sandwich. Good seeded roll, just too big for the amount of sausage. My friend's ribeye was tasty but had a lot of gristle. The salad was fine. Good ice cream for dessert. One would think it'd come with refried beans or rice, basically it was a tortilla with cooked chicken inside. They had cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion ontop. Came with guacamole, sour cream and supposedly salsa. When I complained their was no salsa they said there was, and brought me a side dish of it. I discovered why I thought none, the salsa was nothing more than blended tomatoes with a few chunks of onion, nothing to say of spices, tasted like tomato paste.
