    Pefection from two bowls

Still going strong! My go to place for Mongolian BBQ in the Bay Area. Really is a deal for fresh ingredients of your own choosing and can even take to go. It's not AYCE but you get two bowls to use, fried won tons, egg flower soup and steamed rice. You also get a scoop of vanilla ice cream included. Their soft serve machine broke so no more. What is this, McDonald's? Great meal go get it. Close to Levi's Stadium.

My son wanted mongolian bbq, so decided to give this place a try instead of the one inside the mall. As soon as we walked in there was about four parties inside. The person at the cashier asked if it was our first time there and since it was, he explained everything and let us take a look first. The place inside does not look welcoming and looks like it needs to be renovated and deep cleaned. We decided to still give it a try and followed the recipe for the sauce. I felt like even after following the recipe for the sauce (spicy), the dish was not spicy or had flavor. Some of the vegetables did not look fresh. The workers were friendly.

Ordered the spicy bowl. It was not even slightly spicy. They don't include any condiments to jazz it up. Corn is just corn kernels, not baby corn

    Prices are great!

Came to this location for the 1st time as a friend had come in a few years back and had a bad experience. I've been to the one on Brokaw & liked it, so decided to give it a try. So glad I did! Food was excellent and the location is like 5 minutes from my office. This will be an addition to my lunch spot rotation for sure!

First thing that I step inside was this insane smoke smell in the restaurant. But at least the owner/staff was very friendly. He greeted me and my group. He told us to find a seat and told us that it is two bowls at the bar. Even at the bar, I couldn't stop sneezing and coughing. I even heard the children coughing as well. This place needs better ventilation.... The food selection is good. After cooking the food, the sauce stays so it's not as waterdown as other places nearby. So that was a bonus. Also being that it was 80 degrees today, it was a bit warm in the room to eat.... so I was uncomfortable at the same time that I couldn't really breathe inside.... due to the smoke.... Overall. This place is good if only had better ventilation...

Gobi might be one of the last survivors of the Mongolian BBQ trend that faded years ago. Came here for a cheap eat and opted for takeout. For around $20, you get two rounds to pile on as much as you can--just don't press down on the food, as the signs sternly warn. The sauce selection is weak--mostly watered down--and the ingredients looked a bit questionable, though still passable. The chef cooks everything fresh and stuffs the steaming hot food into plastic containers. Unfortunately, the heat melted the container, which was a huge letdown. Ambience is practically non-existent--dead quiet with dim lighting--and I didn't expect much in the way of service. It's a no-frills place where you get a massive amount of food for a low price. Just manage your expectations and maybe bring your own containers next time.

I still come here 2-3 times a month! Legit my fav Mongolian bbq place I've ever been to and I've been to a lot. Look at my plate! Totally loaded up good. I love their beef it high quality with minimal fat. Their sauces are always so rich and never diluted. My fav is the curry, garlic, hot oil, bbq and teriyaki. I throw all that on my meat and veggies for a flavorful combo. My fav veggies is the broccoli, onion, green onion, mushrooms, corn, zucchini! I love this place and had such a wonderful lunch today. I wanted to address the smoke a few people commented on. I was there the day it was smoky, their vent broke. It was a weird one off thing luckily.

Our first time here... heard about it from some friends who liked it because it is cheaper than the place closer to home, offers take out boxes for leftovers, and the ice cream machine works. :) Cheap meals for kids! Under $5 for 3-6 year olds and under $8 for 7-10 year olds... and I assume under 3 years old eats free. Weekday Lunch $14.99 Dinner/Weekend/Holiday $16.49 Adult meals get 2 bowls to fill. Kids get 1 bowl. Dine-in includes soft serve ice cream cone. Fried wonton, rice, and soup is also included. Soda/Hot Tea is extra ($2.50) with refills when dining in. Meats: Chicken, Beef, Pork, Imitation Crab, Hot Dog. Lamb is offered in the evenings and weekends. Veggies: onions, cabbage, spinach, bean sprouts, zucchini, carrots, Jalepenos, pineapple, tofu, corn, tomato, water chestnut, parsley, broccoli, celery, green onion, mushrooms. Sauce: garlic, Gobi soy sauce, chili sauce, Gobi bbq, sweet & sour, teriyaki, curry, cooking oil, Kung Pao, spicy hot oil. Seasonings: Cajun, Cayenne Pepper, Seasoning salt, garlic powder, vinegar, sriracha, soy, salt, pepper, sesame seeds. If you are SUPER hungry, you can do a second trip for only $6 for 2 bowls... but then no take out. The Mongolian noodle was good, and my kids appreciated the white rice, and soft serve too. The soup we will likely pass on next time. :P

The food here is always tasty no matter what time, day, or even weather. It's reliable, fast, easy, and not to mention extremely affordable. The vibe here is really nice. It's really spacious and the workers here are passionate about providing good service. I was immediately helped out from when I entered till when I left the door. Many thanks to the employees for providing such a positive experience!

I put rice on top so of course it's covering the main event...but this is soooooo goood and love the positive interactions with the staff!

Not only do they have extremely amazing food that I end up driving from Santa Cruz to get since I moved, they have amazing staff! The restaurant is comfortable my favorite date spot and I love to go back and grab some ice cream when we're done! Besides the food the owner is a remarkably great man! He drove from Sunnyvale to BOULDER CREEK to return my dad's left wallet. An actual angel sent to us! I can't wait to go back and bring everyone who can fit in my car!

Decent food. $16 for what I got is definitely steep for the quality/ingredients I chose though. It's been a while since I've had Mongolian bbq, so I've lost touched with "stacking the ingredients up high". Pro-tip (from what I observed other people doing): stack the noodles on top of the meat so it doesn't fall over. The noodles take up a lot of space + it's heavier, so it'll hold the other ingredients in place. Also, they put shrimp at the end (near the sauce), so don't forget to save some space for that if you're interested. The food will definitely be worth it if you're able to stack them (like my neighboring table did - my plate was only half the size of theirs). Don't get too greedy though, because it's bad to waste food! The owner was very friendly and offered assistance when he realized it was our first time there. He made sure to point out that there's free rice, soup, and soft serve for dine-ins. Would recommend if you are craving Mongolian bbq.

You place your order through a QR code, which makes the process quick and easy. This visit, we ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings, Tidu Sliced Beef Pot, and Tianjin Eggplant. The wings are a must-order here. They're always perfectly fried and crispy on the outside while still staying juicy and tender inside. The Tidu Sliced Beef Pot reminded me of a dry hot pot. It had a great mala flavor with a subtle numbing sensation, and the peanuts added a nice crunch and texture to the dish. The Tianjin Eggplant was simple but delicious, with flavorful pork that paired really well with the soft eggplant. Overall, the food here is comforting and satisfying. It's a place I'll definitely keep coming back to.

It's in a busy complex, but there was enough parking. When I walked in, I noticed they had a half-empty dining room but a ton of to-go orders wrapped up, including mine. I really loved the Mongolian beef, and the eggplant dish we got was good too. The chow mein was good. I did like the cucumber salad, but it would be better if it were sliced smaller, so the marinade could infuse the cucumbers. Service was friendly. Food was very fresh. I did notice the portion sizes were generous and we had plenty of leftovers!

We actually watched the World Cup final here and the atmosphere was awesome. The dim sum is traditional Hong Kong style, and the quality is definitely there. You definitely need to get the Black Gold Salty Egg Yolk Buns. They look cool with the black and gold style, and the molten salted egg yolk center is perfectly rich without being overly sweet. The Lychee Shrimp Balls are super unique too; they look exactly like real lychees on the outside but are stuffed with a snappy shrimp paste that isn't greasy at all. For the classic stuff, the Har Gaw and Siu Mai hit the spot--the skins hold up well without tearing and the pieces are nice and plump. The Baked BBQ Pork Buns are also great, with that crispy, sweet polo-style topping and a good amount of savory pork filling inside. Service can be a little slow on busy weekends since the place gets packed with families, but the staff keeps the kitchen moving as fast as they can. Fried E-Fu Noodle with Lobster - the lobster is fresh and huge, great flavor without being overly salty nor greasy. Black Pepper Beef Fillet with Assorted Mushroom, I like the tender beef and the mushrooms were well seasoned. Sautéed Chinese Broccoli (kailan) with Dried Flounder Flake, the flavor was good, but the kailan stems were cut too large, difficult to eat. We finished with satisfying desserts, Black Gold Salty Egg Yolk Bun was excellent with the lava effect. Mango Pomelo Sago was awesome, and the Snow Lotus Seed Peach Resin was really good and not too sweet. Everyone was full and happy.
